Chapter 1: Starry Armament (Part 1)

At the Tianling Clan’s supply point, everyone looked up at the distant sky. The Tianling Clan members were particularly excited, shouting in cheers. Soon after, dozens of flying vehicles rushed out from the supply point, along with a spaceship that took off as well. In the distant sky, a dark spot gradually grew larger.

Li Ran glanced at it once and understood. He said, “Starry Armament—that person must be a high-ranking member of the Tianling Clan.”

A moment later, the flying vehicles and spaceship joined that person. The Starry Armament on his body quickly shrank as he entered the spaceship.

The Tianling Clan members at the supply point discussed among themselves, while Li Ran and the others listened carefully. Clearly, these ordinary Tianling Clan members did not know the full details. But one thing was certain: the newcomer was one of the clan’s most elite experts.

This person was the Grand Elder who had narrowly escaped the pursuit of the Void Worms. After enduring great hardships to reach this supply point, he could finally relax a little. Yet he knew well that he hadn’t completely shaken off the Void Worms’ pursuit—only that they were temporarily out of sight. He had no intention of staying long; he planned to rest briefly, recharge his energy, and leave right away.

The Grand Elder sat in the spaceship, surrounded by several Tianling Clan members—administrators of the supply point—who stood respectfully beside him. One of them was the supply point’s commander. He said, “Grand Elder Kasa, if there’s anything you need, we’ll handle it immediately.”

Grand Elder Kasa gave him a cold glance. An invisible pressure made him sweat on his forehead. He asked, “Diluka, how much high-grade energy do we have here?”

Diluka didn’t hesitate at all. He replied, “There’s only one box of high-grade energy, but there’s plenty of other types.”

Kasa said, “Give it to me!”

Diluka carefully removed a hidden pouch from his waist and took out an exquisite box. He said, “This was also obtained from the ruins. There’s only one box left, with six pieces of high-grade energy remaining…”

A smile appeared on Kasa’s face. One piece of high-grade energy was enough to recharge an armament. However, Diluka’s next words made him lose his smile.

“Unfortunately, four of them are missing part of their energy. Only two are intact.”

Kasa couldn’t help but curse, “Damn it… just two!” His disappointment was evident.

Diluka and his subordinates didn’t dare breathe loudly. They stood there in silence, waiting for orders.

Kasa pondered for a moment before saying, “This supply point is to be abandoned. Go and gather all the experts to oversee the operation. Act quickly—give you at most a day. Well, it would be better if it can be done faster. If not, still one day. Don’t bring most of the supplies; take everything obtained from the ruins, and discard the rest.”
Diluka was stunned. Stammering, he asked, “You… you mean we retreat?”
Kasa, already annoyed and furious from being chased by the Void Worms, lost his temper instantly. He stood up abruptly and shouted, “Are you questioning my orders?” His imposing presence made Diluka’s legs turn to water.
“No, no, I… I’m not questioning your orders. I…”
Kasa snapped, “Then execute it quickly!”
Diluka trembled and said, “Yes, yes, Elder Kasa. I… I’ll do it right away…” Sweat poured down his forehead—the pressure from the elder was immense.
Kasa roared, “Get out!”
Diluka fled, scrambling away in terror.
By then, the spaceship had landed. Surrounded by members of the Tianling clan, Kasa stepped out of the ship. He asked, “Can we use long-distance communication here?”
A Tianling clan member hurried forward and said respectfully, “I’m the communications officer. Long-distance communication is already set up here. Would the Elder like to use it?” He was also nervous, his legs trembling slightly.
Kasa glanced at him and snapped, “Why are you shaking? Am I that scary?”
Inside, the man cursed, but his face showed fear as he stammered, “N-no… I… I…” He was utterly speechless.
Kasa softened his tone slightly and said, “Take me to the communication station. I have important matters to attend to.”
The man finally breathed a sigh of relief, cursing inwardly but not daring to neglect his duty. He led Kasa to the communication station respectfully.
…
Guo Shier watched from afar as the spaceship and flying vehicle entered the supply point before asking, “Brother Li Ran, is that person wearing Starlight Armor?”
Li Ran replied, “That’s right. The royal armor here can’t fly like that. That person must be a high-ranking member of the Tianling clan. Hmm… should we capture him and question him?” He didn’t take Kasa seriously at all.
Qi Wuzhen said, “No problem. I’ll go capture him!”

Cerislin felt dizzy listening to this. She knew how formidable the top experts of the Tianling Clan were, yet these three didn’t take them seriously at all, as if they weren’t going after the greatest experts of a major race but rather some insignificant minor figure. She didn’t know what to feel—thinking back to how she had dared to challenge them before, she realized she had been utterly reckless.

Li Ran smiled and said, “It’s okay. He should stay here for a few more days. We have plenty of chances. Let’s see if Guo Shier can find”Kumu” first.”

Cerislin was very curious and couldn’t help asking, “Who is”Kumu”?”

Guo Shier replied, “He’s my master. We’ve been separated for a long time.”

Cerislin was shocked and stuck out her tongue. If Guo Shier was already incredibly powerful, one could only imagine how powerful his master must be. What she didn’t know was that Guo Shier’s ultimate achievements weren’t due to”Kumu”—”Kumu” had only laid some foundation for him. Guo Shier wanted to see”Kumu” again not out of gratitude but out of longing, a longing for a loved one.

The group walked along the street and soon reached the end. Guo Shier said disappointedly, “I don’t see him. Maybe he didn’t come here.”

Cerislin asked in confusion, “We’ve only walked this short distance. How do you know… he’s not here?”

Li Ran explained, “Apart from the three of us from the Spellcraft Clan, there aren’t any other Spellcraft professionals here. Through soul sensing, we can tell.”

Without any Spellcraft professionals,”Kumu” surely wasn’t here. Qi Wuzhen said, “Forget it. Let’s go catch that guy instead.”

Before his words faded, a commotion was heard. Immediately afterward, all the members of the Tianling Clan rushed toward the largest open area near the supply point, as if their backs were on fire. Dozens of transport ships were neatly lined up there, and the Tianling Clan members surged over in chaos.

Cerislin wondered, “What are they doing?”

Guo Shier said, “Are they trying to escape? Could it be… that Grand Elder…?” An idea flashed through his mind, and he added, “Could that Grand Elder also come from that ruin? No, that doesn’t make sense. Why didn’t he appear when we were there?”

Li Ran reacted quickly too. He said, “Damn it! Is that guy followed by Void Worms?”

The three of them immediately took off and looked in the direction the Grand Elder had come from. After observing for a while, none of them noticed anything unusual. Qi Wu Zhen said, “There’s no need for such trouble. Just capture him directly…” With that, he slapped his hand, and a giant flaming palm appeared out of thin air, striking the area where the spaceship was located. With a loud explosion, a huge palm-shaped crater appeared on the ground. Even more terrifying was the fact that flames over ten meters high rose from that crater, instantly throwing the entire supply point into chaos.

Guo Shier couldn’t help but sigh bitterly. This woman was still crazy at heart; she actually used such a method to find someone.

Li Ran smiled and said, “A clever approach.”

Sure enough, as soon as Qi Wu Zhen took action, more than a dozen skilled Tianling clan warriors dressed in royal armor rushed in from all directions. Someone shouted loudly, “Who dares to act recklessly on our Tianling clan’s territory!” The voices emitted by the royal armor were extremely loud, audible to everyone present.

Guo Shier snapped, “Quiet!” His Moon Blade surged forward like a tide, instantly reducing that person to pieces.

Li Ran ordered, “Call your Tianling clan’s leaders here!”

At that moment, Qi Wu Zhen struck again, knocking down three Tianling clan warriors at once. Guo Shier charged in with a roar, his attacks just as fierce. Having experience fighting against the Tianling clan, he knew well that as long as he attacked quickly enough to prevent them from forming any formation, no amount of skilled warriors would help. None of the three intended to kill them; they just wanted to render their royal armor useless.

Li Ran also joined in the attack. The three of them were unstoppable, striking in all directions. In just a few moments, all those dozen Tianling clan warriors in royal armor were knocked to the ground, none of them able to get up and fight again.

“Dareful!”

Grand Elder Kasa appeared in the air. After seeing these three people, he was filled with doubt. After all, he too had come from the ruins of the ancient city and knew of three extremely powerful Curse Clan professionals. These three before him were indeed Curse Clan professionals. Glancing at his clan’s warriors who were unable to move, his alarm bells rang, and his tone softened slightly as he said, “You three are skilled Curse Clan professionals. Why have you come to our Tianling clan’s supply point to fight? Have we, the Tianling clan, offended you?”

Kasa had no desire to conflict with these three. His earlier outburst of anger was because he didn’t realize they were three Curse Clan professionals.

Qi Wu Zhen didn’t hesitate and rushed at him immediately. Kasa, used to being arrogant, not only possessed the best weapons in his clan but also had extraordinary strength. Even without using his star weapons, he could fight against experts from other races. So when he saw Qi Wu Zhen charging at him without hesitation, he became furious and shouted, “You don’t know what death is!” With that, he raised one arm, and countless blue lights shot out.
Guo Shier and Li Ran didn’t attack him but instead rushed at other members of the Tianling clan, starting to block the spacecraft in the open area.
Qi Wu Zhen smirked coldly and disappeared from that spot. She knew the weapons of the Tianling clan had some peculiar effects, so she avoided direct confrontation. Even if she had to fight, it didn’t bother her at all.
