Chapter 8: Bestial Love (Part 1)
Li Ran said, “Their souls are quite good. Though a bit wild, they’re innocent, so there shouldn’t be any problems for now.” During the inheritance process, he deliberately reduced certain elements and secretly added a soul talisman for control, so he wouldn’t be at a loss if anything went wrong.
Guo Shier glanced at the two of them and asked softly, “Is it okay to take them out of the small world?”
Li Ran nodded with a smile and said gently, “Don’t worry. It won’t affect this world. As for the larger world? Heh, even we aren’t much of anything there, let alone them. Be at ease.”
Guo Shier went over to Halechi and said with a smile, “Old Ha, when did you return? Did you find any treasures?”
Halechi replied absentmindedly, “I didn’t find anything.”
Guo Shier suddenly noticed a change in her beautiful appearance—her four sharp fangs had retracted, her muscles were less exaggerated, and her figure had become somewhat more feminine. She was also wearing a bright red outfit. He asked, “Did you give them those clothes?”
Halechi snapped, “I’m not doing this out of kindness… Where would I get clothes to give away?” He sounded extremely impatient, as if enraged.
Guo Shier didn’t bother with him, knowing he was deeply upset—anyone would find it unbearable to be shown affection by a mutated beast. He smiled slightly, stepped back a few steps, and sat down next to Yao Zebusong. Yao Zebusong said with a laugh, “Ignore that guy. He’s acting crazy—just now he even dared to confront Senior Li Ran.”
Guo Shier exclaimed in surprise, “He’s that strong?”
Yao Zebusong replied, “Did you see the clothes that woman is wearing? They were given to her by Senior Qi Wuzhen…”
Guo Shier said, “Uh, I wondered why it looked familiar. It’s Sister Zhen’s clothes… Just a robe, no pants…” He felt embarrassed after saying that, scratched his head, and spoke in a quieter voice.
Yao Zebusong chuckled softly and whispered, “There were pants once, but she couldn’t wear them. She has a tail—thicker than her thighs—so she can’t wear any pants…” His voice grew even quieter, carrying a lewd tone.
Guo Shier felt an odd atmosphere enveloping the entire team. He didn’t expect Yao Zebusong to be so crude. Smiling, he said, “Aizek is excited. He doesn’t know that his wife… is still…” He stopped mid-sentence, realizing he was starting to gossip too.
Meili still stared at Halechi, but under Aizek’s strict suppression, she didn’t dare to openly express her feelings. For some reason, the moment she saw Halechi, she found him attractive, especially his almond-shaped eyes, which were extremely captivating. After receiving the inheritance, she felt even more certain that Halechi was the man she desired. As for Aizek, of course she wouldn’t give up on him—human rules meant nothing to her.
As an adult Aberrant Beast, Meili already regarded herself as human. As a human, she needed a spouse. Aizek could be her Aberrant Beast spouse, while Halechi could be her human spouse. That’s right—she wanted two spouses, yet Halechi had no idea what this woman was thinking.
Aizek was quite carefree. After suppressing his wife’s unrest, he felt relieved and focused on the inheritance, seeing room for improvement in his strength, which made him very excited. With his personality, nothing mattered more than improving his strength. He danced around for a while before rushing over to Li Ran, asking endless questions—some of which he simply couldn’t understand and needed explained.
Li Ran was patient and explained everything one by one; many of the questions were basic. Gradually, Meili was drawn in and asked a few questions too. But she couldn’t outshine Aizek, so she turned to Halechi, grabbing him tightly and refusing to let go. Halechi was the weakest, while this woman was extremely powerful—once she grabbed him, she wouldn’t let go and kept asking questions, threatening not to release him unless he answered.
Halechi’s whole body went limp—he was terrified by Meili. He said, “Let’s talk this out… Please, let go!” He was in great distress; when Meili’s hand touched him, he realized he couldn’t move at all and could only beg for mercy. His loud cries immediately alerted Aizek.
Aizek snapped, “You stupid woman, what are you doing?”
Meili snarled, “You ask questions, so I’ll ask too. He understands!”
Hearing this, Aizek stopped getting angry. He said, “Let him go. Ask your questions properly. Is there anyone like you? Let go!”
Halechi nodded repeatedly, saying, “Let go, I’ll answer your questions. Let go, please!”
Reluctantly, Meili released her grip and said, “Don’t run.”
Halechi was devastated, saying, “I won’t run… Ugh, my arm…” There was a blue mark on his wrist, showing just how strong this woman was—probably strong enough to break a steel rod.
Meili said, “Sit down.”
Halechi obediently sat down; he was truly afraid of this woman—not only was she powerful, but she was also unreasonable. Guo Shier felt sympathy for him. The woman he liked ignored him completely, while the one he didn’t like, he couldn’t ignore—what a tragic situation he was in, one he simply couldn’t escape from.
Under the pretense of seeking advice, Meili stared at Halechi gloriously. Her crimson eyes met his almond-shaped eyes, causing stars to flash before Guo Shier’s eyes. He couldn’t help but mutter, “A turtle looking at mung beans… they’ve locked eyes? Hmm, Halechi isn’t good enough…” After just one glance, Halechi turned his head away—he couldn’t bear Meili’s scorching gaze.
Qi Wuzhen’s lips curled slightly. She actually had no feelings for Halechi at all—neither liking nor disliking him—so she mostly chose to ignore him, knowing he wouldn’t dare do anything given his strength. Seeing Meili staring intently at Halechi, she found it amusing, especially when the two made eye contact.
As he turned his head, Halechi cursed himself inwardly: This is too passive, too lacking in masculinity. But he really couldn’t resist Meili’s naked gaze—it felt as if he were completely bare, utterly uncomfortable and awkward, especially with his soul trembling under pressure.
A hand reached out and grabbed his chin, turning Halechi’s head around. Before he could speak, Meili said, “Hey, what’s your name… I’m Meili.”
Halechi’s vision went dark as he thought, “Damn it, it was me who gave you your name, you know…”
Guo Shier seriously murmured, “Now I understand—add a bit of civilization to barbarism, and it becomes even more barbaric.”
Yao Zebusong didn’t understand at all. He asked, “What barbarism? What civilization?”
Guo Shier glanced at him disdainfully and said, “If you don’t understand, forget it. Lao Yao, do you think Halechi will yield?”
Yao Zebusong was stunned. “Lao Yao? Is that how it’s called? Shier, whether Halechi yields or not has nothing to do with me. By the way, stop calling me Lao Yao—it’s awful. My name is Yao Zebusong. You can also call me Thunder.”
Guo Shier absentmindedly replied, “Oh, got it, Lao Yao!”
Yao Zebusong stood up in anger and went to sit next to Goha. Guo Shier was still confused. “Why did you run away too?” The whole scene grew increasingly bizarre.
Guo Shier also stood up, walked over to Qi Wuzhen, and sat down. He asked, “Sis Zhen, what are you thinking?” It was a typical case of forcing conversation when there was none.
Qi Wu Zhen shook her head. She stared curiously at Meili—such a strange woman, truly peculiar. Then Meili said, “Hey, what’s your name?”
Halechi slapped her hand away and said, “My name is Halechi! Stop touching me…”
The last sentence almost made everyone laugh. Guo Shier said, “Poor Halechi.”
Qi Wu Zhen said, “He’s not pitiful at all…” Before she could finish, a long howl came from afar, followed by a sudden surge of soul pressure. Instantly, everyone’s expression changed. Guo Shier exclaimed, “Damn, how can there be someone this powerful?”
Ezek and Meili both jumped up, their faces grim. Li Ran asked, “Who is it?”
“Izheroasa… Puduyaha!”
These were names Ezek uttered in his own language, consisting of dozens of syllables that no one could understand. Ezek explained, “That’s the king of the aberrant symbol beasts from the North. I don’t know how he got here.”
Li Ran asked, “Do you know him?”
Ezek replied, “Yes. We’re enemies.”
Li Ran asked, “Can he also take human form?”
Ezek shook his head. “On this continent, only I can truly transform into a human form. Even Meili can’t. That guy… his strength is on par with mine, but when it comes to transformation, he’s far behind.” There was a hint of pride in his tone.
Meili said coldly, “If he eats me, he can transform. Or maybe I’ll eat him!”
Advanced mutated symbol beasts and aberrant symbol beasts could consume each other to enhance their strength and rank—such was the rule of this world. But Meili’s statement, “You eat me, I eat you,” made everyone feel uneasy, especially Halechi, who couldn’t help but mutter, “Barbaric woman!”
Another long howl arose, gradually turning into a roar.
Ezek cursed, “Bastard, I’m not afraid of you…” He soared into the air and let out a wild roar. Meili, unwilling to be outdone, also flew up and roared in response. Their voices, mixed with intense soul fluctuations—one deep and rough, the other sharp and shrill—combined to create a sound as powerful as a grand bell, booming and majestic.
Li Ran and Qi Wu Zhen both cheered; their collaboration was truly stunning.
The violent soul fluctuations spread along with their roaring howls, clearly showing a threatening intent.
Li Ran and the others also flew into the air to look into the distance.
If Ezekiel already has 90% human appearance, then Beauty has 60% to 70%. The creature flying from afar has only 30% human appearance, barely qualifying as human; it stands over four meters tall, with one arm just beginning to form and still having five long claws. Its body is already two meters wide at the shoulders, and its huge head has features more akin to those of a beast than a human. Its body is slightly hunched, and it has a long tail behind it.
