Chapter 1: Xiao Hong (Part 1)
Guo Shier stared intently at the woman. Eagle Demon smiled and asked, “Shier, what’s wrong?” Following Guo Shier’s gaze, he was momentarily stunned and said, “Huh? Who is she? Why does she seem so familiar?”
Before he could finish speaking, Luo Jie and Qi Nanshan suddenly appeared. Guo Shier was surprised and asked, “Master, how did you guys come here?”
Qi Nanshan laughed and said, “We happened to pass by and saw you two enter the restaurant. Hehe, so we teleported over right away.”
Luo Jie added, “We were hungry anyway; let’s eat something before continuing our work.”
Guo Shier nodded and said, “Okay, let’s sit together…” He turned to look at the woman again, growing even more puzzled—she felt extremely familiar.
Luo Jie also looked up and asked, “Shier, do you know her?” As soon as these words left his mouth, the girl not far away shuddered violently.
Guo Shier waved and said, “Mi Fu, come here.”
Mi Fu rushed over eagerly, smiling as she approached Guo Shier and said, “Elder, what can I do for you? Please give your orders.”
Guo Shier asked, “What do they do?”
Mi Fu replied, “Hehe, these are the best girls in our shop. We sent them to accompany the elders.”
Guo Shier steadied himself and said, “Have that girl come over—the second one on the left…” The coldness in his eyes could not be concealed, sweeping over Mi Fu like a knife.
Mi Fu felt a chill run through her body. Professionals are very sensitive; she had already sensed Guo Shier’s displeasure and was filled with doubt. She quickly said with a smile, “No problem, no problem. We just sent them to accompany our esteemed guests…” She straightened up and shouted at the girl, “You! Come here!”
The girl was trembling violently, tears streaming down her face. Due to Guo Shier’s drastic change, she didn’t dare be sure or acknowledge him, but she clearly heard Luo Jie call him “Shier” and saw his surprise and anger. She slowly walked up to Guo Shier, still shaking slightly. Then Guo Shier softly called out, “Xiao Hong?”
Chen Hong burst into tears immediately. She threw herself into Guo Shier’s arms and wailed loudly.
Guo Shier’s heart felt icy one moment and scorching the next, his expression changing rapidly like a dye vat. He hugged Chen Hong tightly and said sadly, “Xiao Hong, I’m sorry…”
Mi Fu and Mi Zheng were both stunned. Chen Hong was a professional captured from the outer continents, her professional skills sealed, and she was acquired through an auction at Mi Se’s Grand Restaurant on Xian Hong Street. As a beautiful professional at the level of a junior sage, she was a prize worth showing off on the continent where the ancient Mi family resided.
Guo Shier immediately detected the seal on Chen Hong’s body. Being a master of the third-tier altar, he took no notice of a seal blessed by a high-ranking great sage. With a simple grab, he pulled out from Chen Hong’s body a sealing talisman composed of virtual runes. Chen Hong’s body trembled as she realized her strength had returned. As a martial-talism professional, she understood that it was Guo Shier who had lifted the seal, yet she cried even harder.
As if wanting to vent all her sorrow and grievances, she clung tightly to Guo Shier, afraid that if she let go, he would vanish.
Guo Shier patted Chen Hong’s back and said softly, “Don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid…” He didn’t ask anything, merely comforting her patiently. He felt extremely guilty, wondering what had become of the four companions he had once had and his four followers. He regretted not taking them with him.
Since she was captured, Chen Hong had never cried once. She was the type of woman who appeared gentle on the outside but strong inside. But after meeting Guo Shier, she could no longer control her emotions, and the long-suppressed sorrow and grievances surged up inside her.
Gradually, Chen Hong’s crying subsided. Mi Fu asked anxiously, “Elder, what… what is this…?”
Guo Shier snapped, “Shut your damn mouth!” A wave of spiritual pressure struck, knocking Mi Fu’s plump body to the ground. His eyes flashed violently, as if ready to fight at any moment.
Mi Zheng also trembled, standing not far from Mi Fu. He had also felt the impact of that spiritual force.
Chen Hong felt extremely exhausted. She held onto Guo Shier dazedly and murmured, “I… I’m not dreaming, am I…” Her soul was in turmoil, her mood shifting between joy and sorrow, and she felt drowsy, wanting to sleep.
Guo Shier said, “Call over all the professional women here who work as escorts!”
Mi Fu, still dizzy from the spiritual impact, still didn’t understand what had happened. He got up in a daze and gave a few orders to several trembling servants, who immediately ran outside.
Guo Shier focused on wiping away Chen Hong’s tears. Luo Jie and the others remained silent, with occasional flashes of black flames visible in Luo Jie and Qi Nan Shan’s eyes.
Eagle Demon patted Guo Shier’s shoulder to comfort him.
A moment later, a large group of over thirty hostess girls were called over; they were all young female professionals who had been captured.
When they lined up, Guo Shier slowly raised his head and said calmly, “Does anyone know about the North Talisman Sect and the Chenxiao Sect?” At that moment, he saw a familiar figure and was stunned. He turned his head with difficulty and said, “Master, she…”
Luo Jie slowly stood up. He was a very strong man, but even he couldn’t help his lips trembling at this moment.
“Xiao Jie…”
Guo Shier never expected to see two acquaintances in Mi Se Restaurant. The woman before him was also familiar to him—she was Luo Jie’s granddaughter, Luo Weijie, the girl who used to tease him when he was young.
Luo Weijie didn’t dare to acknowledge him, as both Luo Jie and Qi Nanshan, as well as Guo Shier, had undergone significant changes in appearance. She saw only a extremely handsome man staring at her excitedly. What was even stranger was that he knew her nickname.
Qi Nanshan said sternly, “Girl, I’m Qi Nanshan, your Grandpa Nanshan.”
Luo Jie said tremblingly, “I’m your grandfather…”
Guo Shier said, “I’m your… uncle…”
Mi Fu almost went crazy. Were these high-level professionals actually the elders of those two female slaves? He collapsed to the ground without saying a word.
Wah… Wu…
After the screams came sobs. Luo Weijie reacted just like Chen Hong—she rushed into Luo Jie’s arms and cried, “Grandpa… Wuwu…”
Due to the noise, some professionals nearby complained angrily, “Damn it, who the hell is crying? I came here to drink, not to listen to crying…”
Guo Shier turned and said, “Uncle Eagle Demon, kill that bastard!”
Eagle Demon immediately rushed forward. In an instant, a series of screens fell, revealing the guy he had targeted. It was a junior Saint Master. As he cursed and stood up, Eagle Demon rushed at him and shouted, “Die!” Then he slapped the man across the face.
Bang!
With a muffled sound, the man was flung aside, his face completely smashed by the slap. Eagle Demon sneered, then, as if pulled by a rope, flew back to his original position. The Saint Master lay on the ground, convulsing. His companion screamed in terror, “He’s dead! He’s dead! He killed You Lao Liu!”
Several professionals rushed over. Luo Jie was holding the crying Luo Weijie when he suddenly turned his head, two streams of black flames shooting from his eyes. The thin as black threads flames struck the approaching individuals, instantly setting them ablaze. They danced around in pain before turning to ashes within seconds.
The entire hall fell silent, followed by a scream. Chaos ensued as people frantically ran toward the exit. Qi Nanshan shouted, “Whoever runs… will die!”
A strange black flame suddenly ignited along the edges of the hall. A few professionals who tried to run fast collided with the flames and were instantly reduced to ashes. All the professionals in the hall were terrified and stopped in fear, none daring to flee further.
Luo Weijie cried uncontrollably, and Chen Hong also couldn’t help but sob.
Mi Fu collapsed on the ground. After a while, he moaned, “Senior, I… I… It’s not my fault! I…”
Guo Shier raised his hand, ready to strike.
Chen Hong shook her head. “No… Shier, don’t kill him. If not for him… we’d be done.”
Guo Shier asked in surprise, “Why?”
Chen Hong replied, “If not for him capturing us sisters, we’d have suffered greatly. Here… we were just serving drinks. He didn’t force us to do anything else…”
Luo Jie gently patted Luo Weijie and asked, “Xiao Jie, is that true?”
Luo Weijie, her face covered in tears and snot, nodded while continuing to cry. It seemed she wouldn’t be able to stop for a while.
Guo Shier let out a sigh. He wanted to act immediately and kill all the professionals in Mi Dun City. Mi Fu kept repeating, “I didn’t do anything…”
Since Chen Hong stopped him, Guo Shier had no choice but to back off. Mi Fu escaped disaster for now. Mi Zheng sat frozen on the ground, not daring to say a word or move, but he already understood that these four people were likely enemies of the Gu Mi family.
After a while, Chen Hong and Luo Weijie finally calmed down. Guo Shier brought out a basin of water and two towels, saying, “Wash your faces.” The two blushed shyly, each taking a towel to wash their faces.
Luo Jie pulled out the sealing talismans from Luo Weijie’s body. Guo Shier went over and removed the sealing talismans from the girls one by one. No one in the hall dared to move or speak.
There were about dozens of local professionals in the hall. Luo Jie’s eyes gleamed fiercely as he said, “Nanshan, don’t spare a single one…”
Qi Nan Shan nodded and flicked his fingers rapidly; dozens of black flames shot out at lightning speed, instantly turning the professionals in the hall to ashes. They had no chance to resist at all.
Mi Fu’s fat body trembled violently as cold sweat streamed down his face. He was terrified to the point of near-mental collapse, yet secretly felt relieved. He always adhered to a principle: never to abuse professional female slaves. He believed professionals were not ordinary people; even if their abilities were sealed, they remained professionals, and professionals deserved dignity. It was thanks to sticking to this principle that he managed to escape the killing spree by Guo Shier and the others.
