Chapter 818: Enemy of the Dragon Clan
“Dragon Emperor Xianzun?” Dragon Emperor Hei Luo was also quite puzzled. Narrowing his eyes, he asked, “Ao Jiang, are you saying that today’s actions were ordered by Dragon Emperor Xianzun?”
“That’s right!” Ao Jiang replied proudly.
“I don’t believe it!”
Dragon Emperor Hei Luo roared, “Dragon Emperor Xianzun would never do this to me!”
“Don’t believe it?”
Ao Jiang smiled faintly, gestured toward the two unidentified Dragon Clan Xian Emperors beside him, and asked with disdain, “Hei Luo, you certainly don’t recognize them, right?”
Dragon Emperor Hei Luo’s chest heaved as he stared at Ao Jiang in silence.
“I’ll tell you,” Ao Jiang said. “These two are guards of Dragon Emperor Xianzun. They just stay hidden most of the time, so the rest of the Dragon Clan doesn’t know about them.”
“Guards of the Dragon Emperor?”
No matter how upset he was, Dragon Emperor Hei Luo still believed it a bit. After all, two Dragon Clan Xian Emperors at the Seventh Heaven realm appearing out of nowhere yet remaining unknown could only be associated with Xianzun—no one else had such power.
But why? Why would Dragon Emperor Xianzun suddenly punish me?
Dragon Emperor Hei Luo’s gaze shifted to Su Che. Having lived for billions of years, he could naturally figure it out.
“That’s correct,” Su Che transmitted to him. “The Dragon Emperor is likely targeting me, but out of concern for Xianzuns like the Holy Mother and the Evil Emperor, he’s targeting you instead.”
“But this…” Dragon Emperor Hei Luo frowned, still unable to accept that he had become a sacrifice.
“There’s no need for further explanation. You should understand the stakes clearly,” Su Che added. “If you return to the Dragon Clan with them, you’re doomed. As a sacrifice, they won’t give you any explanations.”
Dragon Emperor Hei Luo lowered his head, closed his eyes, and his breathing grew heavy. A dark aura surrounded him, indicating he might explode at any moment. However, for now, it was unclear who he would target.
In truth, Hei Luo knew well that given his past actions, if he became a sacrifice and the Dragon Clan listed all his crimes, he would surely die—there would be no justice in that. But openly defying the Dragon Emperor meant betraying the Dragon Clan, switching sides, and needing a Xianzun to take him in to survive.
Where to go? How to decide?
Dragon Emperor Hei Luo was still undecided, while Ao Jiang asked in a mocking tone, “Hei Luo, what are you hesitating about? Do you still dare to defy the Dragon Emperor and betray the dragon race?”
Anyone could tell that Ao Jiang was deliberately provoking Hei Luo, hoping he would rise up in rebellion and embark on a path of irreversible betrayal—a path with no return.
“Betray the dragon race?”
Hei Luo slowly raised his head, his face filled with hostility. He said in a deep voice, “Since the day I ascended to the immortal realm, as a Hellfire Black Dragon, I’ve been rejected and despised by you so-called divine dragons. Do you think I care about the word ‘dragon race’ at all?”
Ao Jiang laughed heartily. “I know you’re filled with hatred toward the dragon race. Otherwise, you wouldn’t force our Five-Claw Golden Dragon clan to pull your cart.”
“Haha, exactly!”
Hei Luo laughed in fury as black scales appeared on his face, and a pair of pure black dragon horns pierced through his skin, protruding from above his forehead. “In the past, the dragon race rejected me; today, they want to kill me. If I remain loyal to them or hold onto them, it would be foolishness!”
Boom!
A powerful aura radiated outward, clearly indicating that he was ready to confront Ao Jiang and the others head-on.
Even this aura was too much for the five members of the Tai Yao Sect’s Wen Zhao group to bear, forcing them to retreat to a corner of the hall. By now, they were pale, shaken, and terrified.
If such fierce battles between the great immortal emperors occurred within their sect, it would bring catastrophic disaster to the Tai Yao Sect. Especially since they had already received deposits for more than a dozen top-tier magical artifacts from the Dragon Emperor.
What should they do now?
The Wen Zhao group was terrified. Faced with such an unexpected disaster, they couldn’t think of any way to resolve it.
Su Che had been observing their expressions the whole time. Now, he sent them a message, “Don’t worry. Even if we fight, it won’t happen within your sect. We’ll leave temporarily.”
“But, Supreme Immortal…”
Wen Zhao couldn’t gauge Su Che’s true strength and could only address him as “Supreme Immortal.” He asked cautiously, “Should we return the deposit we received earlier?”
“No need,” Su Che replied gently. “Keep it with you for now. Even if we can’t complete this deal today, tomorrow, or the day after, I or the Dragon Emperor might return to finish it. But the remains of the Glory-Recovering Demon God must be preserved intact. I don’t want to hear any news of accidents.”
“Of course, of course! Please rest assured, Supreme Immortal,” Wen Zhao replied hurriedly.
At this point, he didn’t dare to hope for too much; he only wished those Immortal Emperors would leave quickly and avoid starting a great battle within his own sect—then he would be truly grateful. After saying this, Su Che turned to Hei Luo and said, “Let’s talk outside. Don’t drag innocent people into this.” Once he left the Dragon Clan, he could no longer be called the Dragon Emperor. Hei Luo nodded and turned to Ao Jun and the other two, saying, “If you want to capture me, follow me.” With that, he and Su Che soared into the air, breaking through the roof of the hall and instantly flying tens of thousands of feet high, heading toward the entrance of the Tai Yao Sect. Ao Jun and the three dragons did not stop them but followed closely behind. After flying tens of thousands of miles over the vast wilderness, Su Che and Hei Luo finally stopped, facing Ao Jun and the three dragons from afar. “Hei Luo, have you resolved to betray the Dragon Clan and defy the orders of the Dragon Emperor Immortal?” Ao Jiang asked in a deep voice. “Isn’t that exactly what you want?” Hei Luo replied in a gloomy tone, his voice rough. “Ao Jiang, stop with the nonsense. If you want to capture me, see if you have the ability!” Ao Jiang sneered silently, his gaze shifting to Su Che, before whispering to the two Dragon Emperor guards beside him, “I’ll keep this referee occupied. Hei Luo is yours.” The two guards nodded and flew toward Hei Luo. “Su Che…” Ao Jun wanted to say more, but unexpectedly, Su Che teleported beside him and punched out without hesitation. “Stop talking nonsense. If you want to fight, let’s do it!” Boom! Ao Jiang was stunned. In a hurry, he could only release his energy to withstand the punch. The mighty Dragon Clan Immortal Emperor was sent flying by a single punch from a Golden Immortal like Su Che. In mid-air, tossed thousands of feet away, Ao Jiang stabilized himself. Though unharmed, he realized he had seriously underestimated Su Che’s strength. But Su Che wouldn’t underestimate such an opponent either. His defensive power reached its peak—defeating a Seventh Heaven Immortal Emperor was impossible, but for self-protection, he was quite confident. Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom… Su Che circled Ao Jiang, firing dozens of punches in a row. The difference between them was like that between a lion and a lone wolf—yet it was the weaker wolf that kept attacking the lion, as if bored out of its mind. Bang! Ao Jiang waved his right hand, and a golden dragon claw struck Su Che’s defensive barrier. Though it didn’t penetrate it, it still sent Su Che flying. “Su Che, I advise you…”
Ao Jiang still had something to say, but Su Che rushed back at him with another teleportation, bang bang bang—although the Chaos Fist couldn’t hurt him, it forcefully interrupted Ao Jiang’s words.
Bang!
Ao Jiang struck again, sending Su Che flying. Though he still couldn’t harm Su Che, he clearly had a decisive advantage in strength.
“Su Che, don’t think I dare kill you!” Ao Jiang roared viciously.
“Haha!” Su Che laughed. “The more you say that, the more it proves you really don’t have the guts to hurt me. In that case, using you as a living target to practice my fists is quite good.”
“Arrogant brat!”
Ao Jiang’s face turned blue as his true anger flared up for a moment, but for some reason, he forced it down.
They were both ancient beings who had lived for billions of years—how could they not understand? Even the Dragon Emperor Immortal Lord couldn’t confront this kid head-on. As for them, trying to kill him might only result in extreme punishment from the Evil Emperor or the Witch God Immortal Lord.
Ao Jiang even knew Su Che possessed a Witch God Token, allowing him to seek help from the Witch God in times of crisis.
The Witch race was always merciless when it came to immortals. If the Witch God appeared, a single finger could easily crush him.
He couldn’t take such a risk!
It seemed Su Che could see through Ao Jiang’s thoughts as he chuckled, “Little bug Ao Jiang, you just said you could only cling to me, right? I doubt you have the courage to hurt even a single hair of mine.”
With that, Su Che pulled out a strand of hair from his head. “Surprisingly, you really did hurt one of my hairs. Ao Jiang, you’re done for—you’re in big trouble.”
It was clear: if they couldn’t kill him, they’d at least drive him mad.
Ao Jiang’s face turned ashen. After so many years, he had never suffered such humiliation, yet he couldn’t do anything about it and could only endure in silence.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom…
Su Che circled around Ao Jiang, throwing dozens of punches, then suddenly teleported behind one of the Dragon Emperor’s guards, delivering another dozen punches.
His aim wasn’t to hurt them, just to harass.
Before the guard could retaliate, whoosh! Su Che flew back to Ao Jiang, and moments later, he was at another guard’s side, continuing his harassment.
With Su Che causing constant disruption, Hei Luo, who had originally struggled against two opponents, now found it easy.
None of the three Ao Jiangs dared unleash their strongest attacks, fearing they might hurt Su Che and cause the Dragon Emperor Immortal Lord, the Holy Mother, the Evil Emperor, and the other immortals to clash prematurely. They couldn’t bear such a blame.
This is what’s meant by fearing to hit the mouse while avoiding damaging the cage; Su Che had already figured these factors out. Yet there were still many things Su Che didn’t understand. Why did his growth hinder the Dragon Emperor Immortal Lord? Why did he send people all the way to obstruct him? What Su Che didn’t expect at all was that among the dozen or so immortals lords, the first to take a stance against him would be the utterly unrelated Dragon Emperor Supreme. What was the reason behind this? What secret lay hidden?
