Chapter 623: Xing Wucui

Seemingly unable to withstand the repeated assaults from that group of people, the palace roof finally gave way.
Boom!!!
With a loud crash, the roof collapsed.
This turn of events took everyone by surprise. Meiying and Mo Mo paled, immediately reaching out to pull the severely injured Wu Kua and the others out of the collapsed area.
“Damn it!”
The six of them stood on either side of the pit, staring at it nervously.
The remaining disciples of the Demon Sect, faced with this sudden change, abandoned their plan to ring the golden bell. Even as some of their own fell into the pit, they showed no signs of panic but instead appeared extremely pleased and excited.
“Hurry!”
“Notify Elder Xing!” Several disciples on the roof cried out, their expressions toward Meiying, Mo Mo, and the others filled with mockery and schadenfreude.
Glancing at those few who had miraculously survived with disdainful eyes, Mo Mo bent one finger, and an invisible force quickly gathered at her fingertip.
Just then, a voice filled with authority and weariness, tinged with anger, resonated from within the palace below:
“Panicking and shouting—what kind of behavior is this?”
“Elder Xing! Something terrible has happened! These people broke into the Heavenly Demon Secret Cave… They attacked our brothers without hesitation. Even Third Elder’s palace was invaded. To ring the bell to warn others, we lost dozens of brothers.”
As soon as the words faded, a deep growl came from inside the palace:
“Hmph! How dare you speak like that? So many of you, yet unable to handle a few youngsters—what a bunch of useless fools.”
Under the astonished gazes of Mo Mo, Meiying, Wu Kua, and the others, a terrifyingly imposing man slowly rose from the hole in the palace roof…
His long black hair moved as if in a windless breeze, wild yet orderly; his hands were behind his back, with his robes fluttering to the sides. His sharp eyes, though unfocused, exuded an aura of supreme dominance.
“You…”
A loud voice came from Elder Xing, his gaze growing increasingly fierce as it settled on Mo Mo and Meiying at the front:
“Which sect’s disciples are you?” His tone was condescending, carrying an unyielding certainty.
Mo Mo and Meiying immediately felt an unprecedented pressure descend upon them, stiffening their bodies as they were instantly overwhelmed by Elder Xing’s aura.

Elder Xing’s strength was clearly unlike that of ordinary masters at the Wuwei realm; his power was likely even greater than that of the Grand Elders of the Demon Sect. Wherever his gaze fell, Wu Kuo and the others would immediately lie on the ground, drenched in cold sweat, gritting their teeth yet unable to move.

However…

The two women were no ordinary people. One was naturally cold and aloof, indifferent to everything; the other was beautiful and intelligent, yearning to change everything through strength and wisdom.

Faced with such formidable presence, the two women chose to resist without prior agreement! They controlled their breathing, allowing their internal energy to surge instantly to ease the pressure on their shoulders.

Snap!

Elder Xing quickly sensed their resistance. With a cold snort, he increased the pressure on their shoulders, stepped down, and crushed the glazed tiles beneath them, causing him to stagger slightly.

Whoa!

“Be careful!”

Just as Shadow’s body began to sway, Mo Mo’s warning voice rang out.

Elder Xing’s eyes flashed sharply as he vanished from the air in an instant, reappearing behind Shadow. Beneath his cold expression lay terrifying murderous intent.

Shadow wasn’t slow to react.

Her afterimage was split in two mid-air.

Elder Xing’s surprised exclamation came from above.

“As expected, you have some skill.”

As he spoke, Mo Mo clearly noticed that Elder Xing had disappeared again, this time moving at an astonishing speed, almost right up against Shadow’s position.

Shadow’s calm demeanor suddenly became urgent.

Feeling the ever-present threat closing in rapidly, her expression turned grim. She swayed several times on the roof but couldn’t shake off Elder Xing at all.

On the fifth attempt, a fierce palm wind finally rushed through the air, cutting off her path ahead of time. Shadow’s movement halted; her protective barriers were shattered by the palm wind, and she took a solid blow to her back. With a muffled groan, streams of bright red blood sprayed into the air.

Bang!!

A large hole appeared in the roof as she crashed like a cannonball into the palace below.

“Building master!”

“Save her!” Wu Kuo and the others finally managed to recover some of their internal energy and heal their injuries. Seeing Shadow in mortal danger, they ignored their own poor condition and rushed forward together.

Gripping her teeth, Mo Mo appeared in front of Elder Xing first, shooting out two fingers consecutively to successfully draw his attention. He turned his gaze this way, surprised, and said, “…Such finger techniques. Whose disciple are you?”

Although he knew Mo Mo’s intentions, the people before him—some injured, some disabled—posed no threat at all. In Elder Xing’s eyes, they could be subdued with a single move; there was no way they could escape his grasp!

A palm strike sent Wu Kuo and the others flying out of the palace with ease, his every move demonstrating that of a master fighter.
“The Wind God.”
Seeing that Wu Kuo and the others were not in mortal danger, Mo Mo didn’t rush to act.
She knew!
Against masters of this caliber, aside from Happy or someone capable of fighting them, none of the people present could stand a chance in even one exchange.
Since Elder Xing had no intention of acting immediately, she decided to play along with his tactics to buy time for Shadow and Happy.
As long as Happy arrived, everyone would be safe!
Whoosh!!
Wu Kuo and the others had also learned their lesson. Realizing they couldn’t even approach Elder Xing, and seeing that his attention was drawn away by Mo Mo, they understood that Shadow wasn’t in danger for now. They settled down, sat in meditation, and took the Jade Dew Pills to recover their injuries and internal energy at full speed.
“The Wind God… I’ve never heard of him.”
Elder Xing looked thoughtful before shaking his head lightly. “I haven’t appeared in the martial world for over thirty years, so many people no longer remember me—my title, ‘Thunder Executioner’ Xing Wucui.’”
Thunder Executioner!
From this title in the martial world, Mo Mo and the others could sense a strong scent of bloodshed.
It seemed Xing Wucui had drenched his hands in the blood of many martial artists!
“Enough.”
As he spoke, he glanced at the corpses of the Demon Sect disciples below the palace. Unconsciously, the nostalgic expression on his face vanished, replaced by a fierce, icy murderous intent. “To die at the hands of me, Xing Wucui, is enough consolation for you youngsters in your lives!”
“Not necessarily.”
Mo Mo stepped back, adopting a defensive stance.
Elder Xing showed disdain. With a single wave of his hand, a swirl of black wind appeared, and he vanished from Mo Mo’s sight…
By the time Mo Mo realized this and tried to track him down, Elder Xing had silently appeared behind her, his hand moving like lightning to slash at her neck!
