Chapter 30: Flying Kites

“Bold!”
Almost the moment the Willow Leaf Dagger was thrown, the Second Chief roared and leaped from the ranks of the Black Wind Bandit Camp! With his legs tightly bent, like an eagle, he soared high toward Happy’s hiding place!
It seemed everyone in the martial world liked to use force to intimidate others!
Now that the Willow Leaf Dagger had reached its ninth level, Happy’s technique and speed were even faster and more precise. Unperturbed, almost simultaneously with two brief groans coming from the crowd, two daggers were thrown—one upward and one downward—aimed at the Second Chief’s head and lower body.
Extremely fast, deadly strikes…
The Second Chief roared in the air and spun violently, miraculously avoiding the two deadly daggers.
Thud!
The Willow Leaf Dagger pierced the trunk of a distant tree, right beside the Second Chief, with a deep thud.
Sure enough, he was much harder to deal with than the Third Chief…
“Kill them!”
Happy calmly roared suddenly, sending two more daggers flying at the Second Chief.
At the same time, six people hiding by the road appeared. Qiankunzi, Ximen Qing, Windy Li, Canglang, and the Xuan Kun brothers all rushed out from nearby. Their gleaming weapons, combined with Happy’s steady dagger attacks, finally made the usually composed Second Chief show signs of surprise.
The opponent had brought reinforcements!
In his memory, the opponent had killed the Third Chief alone, aside from distracting three villagers…
The Second Chief was shocked!
His focus wavered for a moment, and Happy took advantage of it. A Willow Leaf Dagger slipped through the gap and pierced his shoulder. The intense pain filled him with shock and anger. Driven by his calm nature, he had to step back quickly and retreat to the Black Wind Bandit Camp at full speed. He shouted at his brothers, “All of you, attack!”
At his command, over forty Black Wind Bandit members drew their weapons and charged forward one after another.
“Follow the plan,” Happy said calmly as he retreated into the bushes, reminding the six people.
Windy Li and the others didn’t leave immediately but quickly scattered in different directions!
The Second Chief stayed at the back of the group and couldn’t see clearly what was happening in the forest. He had no idea that his forty-plus brothers had been split into several small groups and led in different directions.
“Come back!”
It wasn’t until the Second Chief noticed no sounds coming from the forest after a long time and the voices grew fainter that he finally realized something was wrong, a hint of unease crossing his face!

Unfortunately, by the time the orders were given, those bandits could no longer hear them.
Not good.
The second leader gritted his teeth, drew the flying knife from his shoulder to stop the bleeding, and angrily charged back into the forest with his sword.
Happy had left the earliest, so almost all of the Black Wind Fortress bandits’ attention was focused on Xuanfeng Xiao Li and his group. It was only when these vicious men ventured deep into the forest and realized there were fewer and fewer of their comrades around that they finally realized something was wrong.
Ugh!
Two extremely faint groans came from behind. A few bandits turned to look and saw the last two of their comrades falling to the ground.
Hiss! Hiss…
The flying knives continued, accompanied by a barely audible whooshing sound, swiftly taking down two more bandits.
“Collect the money.”
The remaining six bandits posed no threat to Happy at all. As they spoke, they drew their knives. In the dim light of the fire, sparks flew as two torches fell to the ground along with their owners’ groans.
The forest became even darker.
The remaining Black Wind Fortress bandits had no idea from which direction the hidden weapons were coming, and fear took hold. But just then, Happy stepped out from behind the bushes…
“That’s him!”
“Kill him!”
Unknown fear is the most terrifying. Seeing the real enemy appear, the remaining four regained their courage, holding torches in one hand and swords in the other.
Happy had no intention of wasting time on them!
Swish! Swish!
“Ah!” “Ugh!”
Before they could even get close, the two on the left and right fell to the ground, their chests quickly stained dark red from the wounds.
The terrifying flying knives made the last two stop in their tracks, completely losing their courage! After a brief pause, they turned pale and fled…
Unfortunately, they forgot that at such a distance, there was no way they could escape from his flying knives!
Watching the last two bandits fall to the ground with knives in their backs, Qiankunzi was stunned from start to finish, as if he had witnessed a swift and decisive pursuit in the martial world up close.
The ten Black Wind bandits chasing after them were all killed in an instant. If anyone outside found out, it would be disastrous. Qiankunzi quickly recorded everything, then, under Happy’s instructions, eagerly agreed and ran over to one of the corpses to start searching…
He might not be able to defeat the bandits, but he could deal with their money.
“Hmm, no matter how much comes, it’s fine!”
Qiankunzi crouched among the messy corpses, laughing secretly. The scene looked as vile as it could be.
…

The bandits holding torches were easy to spot in the pitch-black jungle. After dealing with the pursuers from Qiankunzi’s side, Kai Xin quickly moved to Cang Lang’s group, which had only seven members. Following the same strategy, he swiftly eliminated them all and left the cleanup to them. Without pause, he used his Full Heart Meditation to restore his internal energy while heading toward another patch of light.

By this point, over a third of the Black Wind Camp’s bandits had been killed.

But the situation here wasn’t much better either…

The second camp leader, skilled in light-footed movement, caught up with Xuan Kun. Although Xuan Kun kept fleeing into complex areas, the second camp leader, with his strong internal energy and astonishing speed, quickly blocked his path. Xuan Kun’s face turned pale as he shouted with all his might, “Elder brother, be careful!”

Hearing the voice coming from another patch of light deep in the forest, Kai Xin froze momentarily, anger flashing in his eyes!

Sacrifice was now inevitable.

Xuan Kun was dead!

But thinking that the enemy would soon revive in the Martial Temple in Gusu City, his negative emotions were quickly replaced by calm. “Xuan Kun is dead—no one else must suffer needlessly!” With a flash, Kai Xin rushed toward another patch of light in the east—where Xuan Zhong was.

Realizing that the second camp leader had already entered the forest and everyone was in danger of dying, Kai Xin accelerated his pursuit of the Black Wind Camp bandits!

The “Willow Leaf Darts” became deadly reapers in the dark jungle, taking at least two lives with each strike. Kai Xin became even faster and more ruthless in his attacks.

At this moment, the Blue-Robed Gentleman Sword appeared even more unfathomable in the eyes of Ximen Qing, Xuan Zhong, Cang Lang, and the others. The gentle and enthusiastic Elder Brother Kai Xin had transformed into a seasoned assassin. There was no one left alive in his path—even more shocking than the movie character Li Xunhuan.

By the time all the Black Wind Camp bandits on Ximen Qing’s side were eliminated, the second camp leader had intercepted Windy Li… Although Windy Li was agile and used various obstacles behind him to block the second camp leader, they had no effect on him at all.

Whoosh!

Before long, a dark figure blocked Windy Li’s path. The second camp leader turned slowly, his expression now filled with cruelty and anger. Forty-five of his fifty brothers had been killed by these unknown young men…

“Damn it!” The second camp leader spat out those two cold words through gritted teeth.
