Chapter 191: The White Fox!

“…Hehe!”
“Ah, hahaha…”
Torches illuminated the vast underground cave in Nuo Land, spanning over two hundred meters in length and width. Groups of red and white fox-like demons frolicked wildly among each other, emitting various harsh, enchanting laughs that sounded like demonic music—each note resonating deeply, keeping everyone in constant unease.
The red fox demons were mostly female, with alluring, curvaceous bodies that made even those with weaker wills tempted and trapped.
The white foxes had a similarly feminine build but were male, with longer, colder-looking eyes that exuded an icy aura and authority, clearly indicating their superior strength compared to the female foxes.
The moment Happy entered the fox cave, he took in everything inside at a glance.
Among hundreds of female fox demons at the Creation Realm level, there were over sixty white foxes—a huge number—playing and frolicking dozens of meters away.
When Happy entered, there were only seven or eight female foxes nearby.
These bewitching female foxes smiled seductively, laughing wildly as they moved swiftly toward him with ghostly agility…
Although they were merely ordinary Creation Realm monsters, the influence of the cave’s Heavenly Demon Illusion Array greatly enhanced their abilities. They also possessed advanced martial arts and lightness skills beyond those of ordinary Creation Realm NPCs. Moreover, since their physical forms and spiritual essences were separate, ordinary players couldn’t deal with them one-on-one and had to rely on numbers to win.
“Be careful!”
Following Happy into the cave was Yao Shi Wan Neng, the person in the group who knew the cave best. Seeing that Happy had instantly attracted the attention of seven or eight female foxes, he blinked, warned him in a low voice, and prepared to ease some of the pressure on Happy.
Just as he was about to turn and attack, a hand appeared from the side, blocking him.
Happy spoke calmly, “Don’t move. I can handle it.”
He understood the cave better than the others.
Although Yao Shi Wan Neng had entered the cave many times, he wasn’t among the first, so he wasn’t familiar with its layout.
If he moved forward, it would surely disrupt the calm of the large group of fox demons in the distance, leading to real trouble. Hundreds of fox demons would swarm over. Unless one had the cultivation level of Life and Death Realm, advanced protective skills, and mastery of “Ling Dong Ba Fang” (the second stage of “Wind Spirit Spin”), it would be difficult to survive their relentless attacks.
But as for those eight female foxes, he believed he could handle them!
Whoosh!

Like a phantom, the first female fox rushed through the air. Her slightly unpleasant fox odor made several people frown, but no one moved. The three of them stood quietly behind Happy, watching how he would handle the situation.

“Swish!!”

Sky Fox Claw!

Five bright red claw marks tore through the air, leaving trails of light characteristic of advanced martial arts skills, as they swept toward Happy’s head. The female fox’s usually gentle appearance finally revealed a hint of ferocity, exposing her brutal nature.

Hmph!

With a swift movement of his right arm, Happy slipped between the female fox’s sharp claws, striking first. He grabbed her furry shoulders like a serpent, digging deep into them, instantly weakening her strength. With one grip and a twist, the female fox screamed in pain as she was flung at Lei Zhan behind her…

“Cough!”

Lei Zhan had been in combat mode for a long time. Seeing the female fox’s body flying toward him, he frowned and instinctively drew his sword.

Ah!

As his vision shifted, the female fox was horrified to see the blinding white sword light heading straight for her face. She only had time to scream before the intense sword light completely shattered her mind.

But Happy didn’t pause even for a second. After shaking off the female fox who had attacked him first, he was struck by two more female foxes at the same time!

Clang!!

His Golden Bell Shield wasn’t fully activated, so the attacks of the female foxes seemed to hit a giant bell from an ancient temple, producing a dull and weak ringing sound. Yet Happy’s body didn’t even waver—this was expected. If the Golden Bell Shield could shake even beasts at the Creation Realm level, it wouldn’t be considered an advanced protective barrier.

Failing to land a hit, the two female foxes followed in their companion’s footsteps. One was pierced by a sharp sword strike from Yao Shi Wanneng from behind, leaving several bloody wounds; the other suffered several bloody gashes from Xiao Bei’s Poisonous Palm. Both were greatly weakened, their speed slowed, and they were easily choked by Happy, whose fingers snapped their bones as they struggled.

All three female foxes died instantly.

The remaining five female foxes became much easier to deal with.

Xiao Bei and Lei Zhan, who had been slightly nervous at first, also quietly breathed a sigh of relief. They saw hope in Happy’s rapid methods of eliminating enemies and felt that the Fox Cave wasn’t as dangerous as the legends said.

Only Yao Shi Wanneng was very puzzled.

He had entered the Fox Cave no less than seven times. Each time, whether it was a white fox or a red fox, even in one-on-one fights, he always found it difficult to land hits. Under the influence of illusions, it was hard to accurately attack the real body from the human-shaped illusions created by the foxes, let alone hit vital points so easily as he was doing now.

But Happy’s moves gave off a strange and sophisticated vibe—he always managed to target the female foxes’ weaknesses right away, as if seeing through their illusions to their true forms. His attacks never missed and were all deadly!
However…
Yao Shi Wan Neng still couldn’t afford to relax, as hundreds of fox demons were lurking not far away in the fox cave. They were the biggest source of instability in that cave!
To survive safely, they had to eliminate these eight awakened female foxes as quickly as possible and leave the vast cave to avoid triggering an explosion.
Seeing Happy safely withstand the attack of five female foxes thanks to the “Golden Bell Shield” and his Yellow Dragon gear—without being overwhelmed by their rapid attacks and instead using his “Shadow Wind Leg” for blistering speed and the “Wind Spirit Spin” to counter them—his eyes lit up:
“Happy.”
“I’ll distract those fox demons ahead for now. You three, rush into the passage on the left immediately.”
“Okay!”
The three nodded at once.
Happy didn’t need to look to know that there were hidden passages on either side of the cave, between them and the swarm of fox demons. The passage on the left was the closest, only less than thirty meters away.
If they rushed into that narrow passage, the number of fox demons facing them would drop significantly, reducing the threat and increasing their chances of survival.
But…
The passage was closer to the swarm of fox demons. A single mistake could lead to them being blocked by the demons before they could enter, trapping them completely. Yao Shi Wan Neng’s idea was good—his exceptional lightness skills could draw the demons’ attention and lead them elsewhere, giving them a sliver of a chance.
The five female foxes were quickly defeated by Happy, reverting to ordinary foxes with fiery red fur.
“Go!”
With a low shout, Yao Shi Wan Neng dashed seven or eight meters away like a ghost, instantly drawing the attention of the swarm of fox demons in the distance, causing them to stir.
Happy and the two others hesitated not for a moment and rushed toward the left passage at top speed.
Unfortunately, a small group of fox demons at the edge of the swarm noticed them and changed direction, charging toward them.
What made things worse was that a group of fox demons also rushed out of the passage, with two cold-eyed white foxes at the forefront.
Damn!
