Chapter 680: The Prison Dimension of the Divine Abominations
“May I ask if Your Highnesses have come for that dimension?”
After sacrificing dragon blood, Qiaotuilejiao became somewhat interested in Donald and the others’ purpose here. Their goal was clear—they were after that large dimension behind them. These Feani were merely incidental.
And that large dimension happened to be exactly what Qiaotuilejiao was curious about. Even with the power of a Time Dragon, it was impossible to enter that dimension, which showed just how formidable the ancient divine forces were.
“That’s right! We indeed came for that place!”
Hearing Donald’s reply, Qiaotuilejiao couldn’t help but say, “I wonder if I could join you to take a look. Rest assured, I have no intentions regarding what’s inside!”
Donald also understood something about the temperament of Time Dragons, so he exchanged a glance with Loki. After a silent communication, he nodded at Qiaotuilejiao and said, “Of course! You’re welcome to join us!”
Qiaotuilejiao cheered with excitement.
“Great! I’ve long wanted to go in and take a look! It’s a pity that reversing back to ancient times comes at a high cost, and the barrier outside this dimension isn’t something I can break!”
With that, the three of them along with the giant dragon rushed toward that seemingly illusory large dimension.
Donald first sent his mind out to probe it and found that even a trace of a true divine mind seemed to pass through emptiness—there was no visible dimension at all.
Thor even unleashed a bolt of lightning, but the illusion of that dimension didn’t show even the slightest disturbance.
Donald analyzed it and said, “It’s likely that powerful spatial laws are in use, making this dimension not float in this void but exist somewhere in the multiverse. Without understanding those rules, even higher gods would find it difficult to locate the true location of the dimension!”
“Are you ready?”
Loki took out the crystal token and gave Donald a subtle signal.
Donald flashed over to Loki’s side. The Book of Doom appeared before him. He nodded at Loki, then they simultaneously poured their powerful divine forces into the token.
The condition to open the portal to this dimension was for two higher gods to channel their power into the token together. Only then could there be enough energy to pull the entire dimension from the void into reality. Otherwise, even five or six higher gods would be helpless and unable to do anything to that illusory dimension.
With the help of a supreme artifact like the Book of Doom, Donald could temporarily wield powers on par with those of higher gods. After all, he wasn’t meant to truly fight against other higher gods but merely act as a power source, similar to a battery.
Infused with the power of a mighty higher god, the crystal token began to emit a dazzling light and started resonating with the shadowy figure in the opposing realm, establishing a connection between them.
After about three minutes, the crystal token seemed to be fully charged, emitting a clear ringing sound. A beam of light suddenly appeared and shot straight at the shadowy figure in the opposing realm.
The entire massive shadowy figure began to vibrate. Though no sound was produced, Donald and the others could clearly sense the spatial tremors.
It took roughly the time it takes to eat a meal for the spatial vibrations to subside, and the original shadowy figure transformed into a real realm that appeared before them.
At the location where the light beam had struck the barrier of the greater realm, a portal appeared out of thin air, emitting an ancient, chaotic, and complex aura from within.
“Let’s go!”
Seeing the portal, Loki called out and transformed into a streak of light, flying into it.
Donald and Thor followed closely behind. Although the Time Dragon Qiaotelejiao reacted last, it rushed in first, surrounded by a gray glow.
As the four of them entered the greater realm, the portal lost its power support. With a flash of light, it closed instantly, leaving no trace.
The spatial tremors caused by the realm’s transition were extremely intense, spreading across hundreds of thousands of miles in the starry void. Many celestial beings who sensed the earlier spatial fluctuations rushed toward this greater realm, excitedly charging at its barrier.
Without exception, they all crashed into it. Even some powerful beings attempting to attack from afar with spells could not cause any disturbance to the formidable barrier.
As soon as they entered the greater realm, Donald felt as though he was surrounded by countless fierce beasts, overwhelmed by the mixed auras that made it hard to breathe.
These auras were those of powerful beings from the dawn of the universe, mixed with twisted divine essences. Donald had only encountered such auras once before, on that powerful Hundred-Armed Giant Demon.
Although Feani was one of the most powerful demons, its power in the realm of time masked its demonic aura, making it less aggressive.
But how many abominations must be involved to create such a powerful mixture of energies? Donald was astonished, yet he immediately used the Book of Truth to explore the environment within ten thousand miles around him. Even Loki, a higher deity, couldn’t compare to Donald in this regard; under the constraints of the plane’s rules, Loki could only probe hundreds of miles away, which was beyond the capabilities of other true gods. After all, the Book of Truth was a powerful artifact designed to assist higher deities—sometimes, humans cannot be compared to tools. After a moment, Donald opened his eyes, and Thor asked right away, “How is it?” Donald shook his head and said, “You’d better go and see for yourself!” With that, he led the way to the land in the plane. Looking down from above, it appeared to be a giant continent resembling a floating island in the void, covered with massive structures in the style of ancient Rome. They were called massive because these buildings were dozens of times larger than any in the main world, seemingly built for giants. These structures resembled arenas and cages, holding countless enormous creatures. Those recognizable to Donald and the others included Anaxim, Hellfire, Centipede Dragons, Lava Giants, as well as the ancient and powerful abominations like Phaeanis and the Hundred-Armed Giants. There were countless other unknown monsters, most of them of enormous size. This scene made all four outsiders take a deep breath in shock. After a long while, Donald finally reacted and sighed, “Sure enough, it truly is a factory for abominations. The creative power of the gods of the ancient pantheon is indeed formidable and terrifying!” Chiautlejo interjected in shock, “I thought many of the true gods of the ancient pantheon were creators on a legendary scale.” Although Chiautlejo had lived for thousands of years, he was still considered young among the Time Dragons. He only knew about the ancient times from what his elders told him and from some relics, lacking any direct experience of that ancient and powerful era. Donald landed and went to a cage below that held a special abomination. This place resembled a platform, with an invisible barrier on a thick rock surface trapping a highly archaic mechanical puppet creature. This was a life form created by the legendary creator skilled in alchemy and mechanics, and to some extent, it gave rise to mentally twisted mechanical abominations.
This Anaxim looked like a knight from the Middle Ages, except that instead of a flesh and blood body, his simple yet elegant armor concealed a puppet mechanism made of wood and stone. Anaxim stood there quietly, showing no reaction to the approach of outsiders like Donald, resembling a cold statue. Yet, the intense divine power emanating from him revealed that he was a powerful divine abomination surpassing even demi-gods. The other divine abominations around him, on the other hand, began to scream frantically as if prisoners in a prison had seen outsiders.
“Interested in this thing?” Loki asked upon seeing Donald staring at Anaxim.
Donald waved his hand and said, “It’s not the right time yet. Let’s first go to the core and understand the situation before taking action. Otherwise, recklessly breaking the restrictions here could lead to undesirable consequences!”
Loki nodded. In such an ancient divine realm, even a high-ranking god like him had to proceed cautiously. So, he led the way toward the center of the continent.
At the center of the continent was a huge circular square with temples and altars. From above, the entire square resembled a pattern of the moon and the sun. With such obvious features, it was clear that any secrets of this realm could be found there.
Soon, the four of them arrived at the square. Powerful rules prevented them from flying and forced them to walk on the ground. But with the speed of these godly warriors, covering dozens of miles took just a moment, and they arrived in front of the massive temple.
The temple resembled Greek temples, with its structure supported by huge stone pillars. There were no doors, allowing direct access to the interior. However, all the statues and murals inside and outside the temple showed blank, blurred faces of gods and messengers.
The three gods and the dragon stepped into the spacious temple and saw a raised platform with two huge obsidian thrones on it, each occupied by a giant statue of a deity.
Upon arriving there, the crystal token in Loki’s hand suddenly rose on its own and flew in front of the male statue, emitting a dazzling light that enveloped it. The massive statue seemed to be activated, emitting a humming sound. Its stone eyes suddenly opened, containing worlds of infinite brilliance. A cloud of light also appeared behind the statue, instantly covering most of the temple’s space.
“Holders of Ignatius’ Guardian Token, welcome to the Temple of Radiance! I have been waiting for this day for a very long time!”
The statue seemed to come to life as it spoke to the four strangers.
Since those present were either true gods or powerful beings like the Time Dragon, they were not surprised that the statue could speak. What surprised them was the name of this temple and the strength of its radiant power.
