Chapter 651: The Calamity of Deification (1)
Creating a hellish realm and dividing the universe’s primordial forces to grant them to the abyss weakened the power belonging to the Endless Abyss. It also gave rise to a new race in the multiverse. At Astimos’s request, Donald meaningfully named them demons.
The surviving slave refugees from the Cannibal King’s fleet, along with the original creatures of the 422th realm, became the first inhabitants of the hellish world. Altered by the realm’s rules, they evolved into demons—a race distinct from abyssal demons and also different from creatures of the main world.
Although they shared the evil faction with demons, demons were not inherently chaotic. They essentially transformed abyssal demons into a completely different kind of evil creature.
Unlike demons with their varied and bizarre appearances, demons resembled humans in both appearance and temperament. Though evil, demons were beings of order, pursuing rationality and putting interests first.
If demons were compared to bloodthirsty, frenzied thugs, then demons were calm, rule-abiding, highly intelligent criminals. Though not necessarily kind, the chaos and casualties they caused were far less than those of the former.
With the emergence of demons, hell once again drew from the universe’s origins a portion of the lower-tier forces originally intended for the Endless Abyss. These forces continued to flow into hell steadily, accelerating its growth by at least ten thousand years.
In his past life, such a scenario only appeared in legends, referred to as “fate.” In other words, due to Donald’s actions, hell seized a portion of the fate originally belonging to the Endless Abyss from the universe’s will.
According to Donald’s understanding of the gods in the multiverse, so-called fate was actually the favor of the realm’s or even the universe’s will.
After arranging the third batch of troops to go to hell to fight, Donald’s avatar descended to hell once again.
Since many of these 30,000 hellish reinforcements were his own subordinates and close allies, he needed to take extra care to ensure they suffered no severe losses.
Among them, Donald was most concerned about Mage Colin, served by the Celt royal family, as well as those from the elf race who had joined.
Collin, this old acquaintance, has now reached the pinnacle of legend, though due to his age, he no longer has the confidence to break through to demi-god status on his own within his lifetime. Yet he also doesn’t want to rely on external means to achieve such a breakthrough or extend his life. Hearing about this opportunity to gain complete power of his own by killing demons without any restrictions is undoubtedly an excellent chance for him.
As for the elves, most of those sent were the younger generation meant to gain experience, led by the legendary archer Rudie and another newly risen legendary Sun Elf warrior, Xueflas.
The youngest of the Sun Elf elders initially strongly opposed accepting Donald, the human elder, not out of personal grudges, but simply due to his preconceptions toward all humans stemming from his own past experiences.
