Chapter 643: The Birth of Hell (1)
Boom!!!
A strange tremor echoed throughout the Abyssal Time and the 422nd plane. Even those Abyssal warriors fighting against Oscar and his undead minions in the Pale Kingdom noticed it. At the same time, the Abyssal Will let out an enraged roar, and immediately, the demon lords led by the Three Giants of the Abyss turned their attention to the original 422nd plane that caused all this.
Now, this plane had broken free from the Abyss’s orbit, floating upward alone like a balloon detached from a group. Controlled by its plane master, it rose rapidly through the void, quickly moving thousands of miles away from its original position in the Abyss, though it still hadn’t fully escaped the influence of Abyssal forces.
Since the Endless Abyss resembled a spinning top made of endless vortices, to successfully pull the 422nd plane away from beneath the Abyss, it would inevitably pass through several planes. With good luck, it might face just a few obstacles; otherwise, it could encounter a dozen or even dozens of Abyssal planes in a row.
Due to the chaos and randomness of the Abyss, these encountered planes were unpredictable. Thus, worried Astymos could only pray that they wouldn’t run into a powerful plane controlled by a Destroyer Monarch or a Fallen Monarch.
Fortunately, as the Hell plane moved erratically, Donald and the others first encountered the nearest adjacent plane, the 421st. A massive battle was underway inside the Pale Kingdom, so there was no time to stop the 422nd plane from separating.
After passing the Pale Kingdom, as the Hell plane continued rising, the next plane encountered was the 222nd layer of the Bottomless Abyss.
This layer was special—it wasn’t ruled by a single lord but by two rulers simultaneously. One of them was Jubilex, one of the oldest mollusks in the multiverse, the Faceless King. Together with Lady Fungus Zugmoi, they governed the 222nd plane. These two demon lords had a long history of war, rooted in their struggle for absolute control over the 222nd layer.
The Faceless King is similar to but distinct from Ronald, the god of the Cave Lords and Slime Monsters. This powerful slime monster is a pure demon lord; lacking sufficient wisdom, Jubilex, despite mastering powerful domains such as killing, corruption, and manipulating soft-bodied creatures, failed to consolidate them into divine powers. This is why Jubilex is slightly stronger than Zuggmoi, yet it has never been able to seize the Lady of Fungi’s territory or completely destroy her. Among all the demon lords of the Bottomless Abyss, Jubilex, with its low intelligence, may have the simplest goals—its purpose in existence seems to be to destroy, kill, and corrupt anything it can reach. It hates everything and indulges in destroying them. The filthy and ugly Faceless King Jubilex needs no followers or friendships. Yet, there are still creatures who worship the King of Slimes for various reasons. Such beings are also the easiest to be incited by the Will of the Abyss. When it drifted near the 222nd layer from the 422nd layer, the Faceless King stretched out its tentacles and roared as it rushed toward this realm. The other lord of the 222nd layer gladly let Jubilex take the lead, watching from a distance. Although Jubilex possesses strength beyond that of ordinary lower gods, its power level remains at the demi-god stage, preventing it from fully unleashing its capabilities or transforming its strength into combat power. Faced with such an opponent, Donald, still wrapped in his gray cloak, simply unleashed his Demon Hunting Domain and burned away most of Jubilex’s body with the Fire of Sacrifice. Of course, such injuries are not fatal to Jubilex, a slime monster—given enough time, the damaged tissue can regenerate. But even with its low intelligence, Jubilex sensed a deadly threat. Clearly, the enemy before it was too powerful for it to resist. Thus, its first thought was to flee. After the Faceless King wailed as it fled back to the 222nd layer with its remaining body, Donald turned to glance in the direction of the Lady of Fungi, Zuggmoi. Seemed to be targeted by a natural predator, the Lady of Fungi immediately screamed and retreated to her realm, afraid to come out again. If it could easily strangle Jubilex, whose strength was comparable to its own, it could surely deal with her as well. How could this much smarter demon lord continue to act recklessly by blocking its path?
In this way, the Hell Realm safely passed through Layer 222, and Donald celebrated his luck once again. This time, they encountered Tannatos of the Death Wasteland at Layer 113. If Oscar were still one of the three great lords of the Abyss, Donald would never have dared to pass through here. But now that Oscar had fallen once and his true form was unknown, his most important territories had been divided among other demons and powerful creatures, leaving him unable to muster any significant force to stop them! Indeed, when passing through this area, only a few demi-demonic warriors came out to watch. As for Venetia, one of the most powerful lords of the Death Wasteland—the Goddess of Vengeance—their sole incarnation was still in the Pale Kingdom, so she naturally wouldn’t risk her territory being invaded by rivals just to follow the commands of the Abyssal Will. After all, she wasn’t originally an Abyssal demon but a fallen archdemon from elsewhere. After leaving the Death Wasteland of Layer 113, there were basically no major obstacles left ahead. Of course, unless they encountered Layer 88 or the powerful Abyssal Realms of Layers 45, 46, and 47. The former was the Saltwater Marshes, home to the Lord of Destruction, while the latter were the Triple Kingdoms ruled by the Fallen Monarch. But Donald and Astymos were lucky—the Hell Realm didn’t approach any of these four realms, not even Layer 81, conquered by the Lord of Destruction. Instead, it moved toward the sixties layers. The closest realm to the Hell Realm was Layer 66: the Deep Pit Web. The Spider Queen, who never missed an opportunity to gain Abyssal power and become stronger, naturally wouldn’t ignore the Hell Realm passing by. Having lost much of her strength, Flora used all her accumulated power to consolidate her powerful lower deity incarnation still in the Pale Kingdom, so there were no other incarnations in her divine realm. But since they were inside the Abyss, and the Deep Pit Web was her divine realm under her complete control, she didn’t have to worry about other demons invading for now. Thus, the Spider Queen boldly revealed her true form. The power of her powerful middle deity incarnation far surpassed that of ordinary incarnations, and her immense presence immediately triggered an energy storm in the void surrounding the Abyssal fissures. “Foolish beings who dare leave the Great Abyss—you shall fall at the hands of my mighty Spider Queen!”
The Spider Queen wildly swung her backup divine weapon, the Eight-Legged Scythe. Her previous Hydra Whip had been lost in the battle in the main world, and this was her only divine weapon suitable for combat. The front end of the scythe resembled eight sharp legs like those of a spider, while a rope of unknown material connected to the back—clearly a sinister and vicious weapon. Just as the Spider Queen was showing off her strength, a voice softly said, “Flora, you still haven’t learned your lesson!”
