Chapter 641: The Queen of Demons

While the recently arrived demon lords and archdemons were focused on the 421st layer of the Pale Kingdom dimension in their quest to capture King of the Undead Oscar, a figure sneaked quietly outside the 422nd layer, which was originally under the control of Yenogu, the King of the Werewolves.
The slight deviation in the location of the 422nd layer from what she remembered puzzled this figure.
As one of the old rivals of Yenogu, the King of the Werewolves—a demon lord with the title of true god—Queen Melissa of Demons was undoubtedly very familiar with her enemy’s domain.
However, with constant changes in the Abyss, coupled with the return of King of the Undead Oscar, who now controlled the 421st layer of the Pale Kingdom, this demon lord didn’t pay too much attention to the changes in the location of the 422nd layer, assuming they were caused by Oscar’s influence.
With the power of a lower-tier god, Melissa was one of the most formidable and troublesome demon lords in the Abyss world, aside from the three giants.
This was because she was not only the lover of the Destroyer Lord, one of the most powerful beings in the Abyss, but also had ambiguous relationships with several other Abyssal lords and even archdemons, including the powerful Fallen Lord Grant.
Due to her nature, Melissa, who mastered realms such as lust, temptation, and demons, existed primarily to satisfy her spiritual desires, experience novel sensations, indulge in unprecedented physical pleasures, or revel in the joy of humiliating and trampling on her hated enemies. All her schemes and deceptions revolved around this goal!
Thanks to her close relationship with the Destroyer Lord, Melissa didn’t need to worry about her safety, as no one would dare risk offending the most powerful and insane demon in the Bottomless Abyss by attacking the Queen of Demons.
Unlike other powerful beings in the Abyss, who were focused on gaining benefits from King of the Undead Oscar, the self-aware King of the Queen of Demons, even with the strong backing of Eustachius, found it difficult to become the one to reap all the advantages among the numerous god-tier powers.
This was largely because she had fallen out with Grant, one of the Abyssal giants, years ago. She allied herself with Eustachius because the Destroyer Lord was Grant’s greatest enemy.

Due to Melissa’s refusal, the fallen monarch, feeling his pride as a man hurt, launched an attack on the 570th layer of the Abyss, the domain of the Lamia Queen. Melissa struggled hard, navigating among various Abyssal lords, to repel that attack. Since then, these two demonic lords have been in a cold war. They sent numerous minions to sabotage each other’s territories, but perhaps due to some lingering feelings, they refused to allow others to threaten their lives. This situation of mutual hatred intertwined with other emotions only ended when Grazt successfully carried out a great scheme. The fallen monarch even risked his identity by taking on the appearance of the Lamia Queen to seduce Koscherch, the King of Frost Giants and one of the most ugly lords in the Abyss. Koscherch was not born a demon; his soul filled with anger and hatred drove him to the Bottomless Abyss after death. Even as a human, Koscherch was known for his boundless hatred. He lived solely for hatred, finding pleasure only in it. Perhaps that overwhelming hatred resided beneath his ugly appearance, twisted limbs, and deformed face. Women avoided him, and his tribe abandoned him—only anger remained by his side. The outcome of this “seduction” brought deep shame to Mekanshut, as many still believed that Mekanshut, who was subdued by Koscherch’s might, was not actually Grazt in disguise. This further intensified her hatred toward the fallen monarch, leading to a complete break between them, and the Lamia Queen turned to Osthadius, her unstable and mad lover. Under these circumstances, the Lamia Queen was even less willing to get involved in Oscar’s affairs. She was almost certain that among those demonic lords was the fallen monarch. Given their relationship, it would only make things more chaotic, leaving no one a winner! Moreover, with the jealous new lover, the Destroyer Lord, around, if it went mad, even Melissa wouldn’t be able to control it—likely no one would come out unscathed! Of course, Donald had heard of the Lamia Queen’s fame; she was the only one in the entire Abyss who had reached the level of a true god among the lamias.

Melissa obtained the title of Queen of Lamias and took control of the 570th plane in much less time than ordinary demon lords—only about two thousand years. The Queen of Lamias herself was well aware of this. To seize and secure this title, she spent centuries waging wars using various tactics, eliminating one by one her competitors, who were powerful demi-god lamias. From then on, she became the undisputed Queen of Lamias.

Seeing that it was this specially distinguished demon lord who had come to investigate the hellish plane, Donald couldn’t help but frown, feeling it was a hassle.

By this time, the Queen of Lamias had already begun probing the 422nd layer of the Abyss as she remembered it.

To avoid attracting more external attention, Donald lifted the divine light barrier in that area and allowed her in.

After easily entering the interior of the 422nd layer, the Queen of Lamias, relying on her wit, sensed that something was amiss. Looking back, she found that the plane barrier, which had previously allowed free passage, was now sealed by a golden divine light. Her first thought was that she had fallen into an enemy trap.

Immediately, she swung her signature artifact, the Cane of the Beloved—a finely crafted execution whip with three sharp blades at the end, connected by chains—and attacked the barrier.

But to her disbelief, her weapon, which was at the peak of a lower-tier divine artifact and on the verge of ascending to a mid-tier divine artifact, was utterly ineffective against the seemingly thin golden barrier hidden behind the plane barrier.

“This troublemaker is definitely a hassle. What should I do with her? If I kill her, those demon lords who are close to her will surely sense it right away, and it will be difficult to escape then!” Donald said anxiously.

Just then, Astimos, who was struggling against the will of the Abyss, suddenly spoke up, “It would be such a waste to kill such a beauty! Instead, master, capture her, force her to sign a supreme contract, and then release her back into the Abyss as an insider. That way, if the Abyssal forces retaliate in the future, we can be prepared!”

After hearing this, Donald looked at his Abyssal demon subordinate with new respect and clapped his hands in approval. “Great idea! I didn’t realize you had such a gentlemanly demeanor, caring so much for beautiful ladies…”

Astimos blushed immediately—though his demonic skin made it hard to tell—but in truth, he had other plans in mind. After all, the Queen of Lamias was known as the most beautiful demon in the Abyss and was the object of desire for many demons.
