Chapter 585: The True Origin of the Elven Lord
“Is it time to sign the pact at last? I’ve waited for this day for so long!”
The figure of the Elven Lord Ignatius appeared before Donald and the other true gods. Only a powerful supreme god like Ignatius, with the aid of something like a World Tree leaf, could break through the constraints of a mighty divine realm and descend directly into the core of Azeroth.
After the Elven Lord arrived, the area where Donald and the three goddesses were located seemed to vanish within their divine realms, becoming isolated from everyone else. Even Donald’s avatars lost contact with his true form, aside from his own true body.
Donald felt no offense or threat from the arrival of the Elven Lord!
He had always held a sense of closeness toward this supreme god with whom he had little interaction—similar to encountering a stranger on the street who yet gave off an impression of great trustworthiness.
“Yes! Your Majesty Ignatius, all your prophecies are beginning to come true. Now, I’m certain that even if Donald isn’t the powerful being who will rule the Pantheon as you predicted, he will still possess enough strength to reshape the structure of the multiverse!”
Hearing the words of the Magic Goddess, Donald remembered the Elven Lord’s prophecies about him mentioned by the Agriculture Goddess. He had never heard the full version of those prophecies. Could Ignatius already be powerful enough to predict the fate of a true god?
Seeming to sense Donald’s confusion, the Elven Lord Ignatius took the initiative to explain, “The gods assume that, as the Elven Lord, my primary domain must be nature. But what they don’t know is that my greatest power lies in the realm of prophecy, a branch of fate!”
“The more control I have over fate, the more I realize its unpredictability and power. Only by transcending fate can one become an eternal, supreme god. I’ve already taken one step beyond the river of fate, but the distance to the other foot seems endless, and I can’t cross it yet. I think this has a lot to do with my own incompleteness!”
Though these revelations surprised Donald, they weren’t unexpected. After all, the Elven Lord was considered the closest to a supreme god in the legends of the gods. But what Ignatius said next truly shocked Donald beyond measure!
“You and I come from the same world. That great war of Ragnarök once swept across the entire universe. Aside from the Prime Star, most material worlds and divine realms must have been destroyed. Surely, there are no gods left in later generations?”
Deeply shaken, Donald could only nod stiffly.
After sighing, Ignatius continued, “Speaking of this, you should know that I am the World Tree. The World Tree is me—not as rumored to have been destroyed, but merely an illusion I created for my own plans! A part of me, carrying the Spear of Destiny, Gunnar—my most vital component embodying the power of fate—got lost in the temporal chaos and ended up in some unknown corner of the universe. Only a complete World Tree can be an existence on the level of a supreme god. Without the power of fate and that divine role, relying on the incomplete power of fate from my prophecy domain along with some forces from the natural realm is not enough for me to regain my full godly power!”
“I have been waiting at this half-step godly level for tens of thousands of years. Through this incomplete power of fate, I glimpsed a possibility in the river of destiny—a possibility that can only be brought about by an existence from another world born in the same universe as my true self. I originally thought it would be my two children, Thor and Loki, but they, who arrived with the now-extinct Babylonian realm, are not the ones destined for this role! To avoid altering the course of fate, I did not intervene to save them, believing that the destined person would do better than their father! Moreover, after going through this ordeal, they will shed their past hesitations and lead better lives!”
Hearing this, how could Donald not guess Ignatius’s identity?
Ignatius, or Odin, actually had only one identity: the incarnation of the World Tree. The true World Tree of the Asgardian divine realm, which disappeared along with Odin, somehow ended up in this universe and became a powerful supreme god here!
There had always been legends in the main world that elves were extraterrestrial beings from the multiverse, but many thought it was just a joke. Little did they know it was true. In the Norse mythology of his past life, elves and dwarves were both demigods, beings who served the true gods. The higher elves born in the multiverse were also initially a powerful race with demigod powers. Combined with the legends about the World Tree, it was clear that everything Ignatius said was real.
“Donald, your arrival shows me the guidance of fate. Once you become a supreme god, I will entrust everything I have in this world to you. Only you have the ability to suppress those treacherous forces in the main multiverse and protect all beings of my Avandor lineage! Only then can I leave this universe with peace of mind to seek the most important part of myself!”
At this point, Ignatius had expressed his intentions fully.
Even Donald, after processing what he had heard, was momentarily stunned!
“Lauren, my daughter is the one with the greatest potential among the elf deities to become a supreme god. That’s why I’ve made her form an eternal alliance with Euryana and Eilien, so that they can assist you in the future and work together to maintain order in the multiverse and stability in the main world!”
“Now, your name will be added to this eternal covenant. Soon, I will announce the identities of my two children, Thor and Loki, as elf deities, and have them follow you. Once you establish your own deity lineage, they will be your strongest allies. This is my greatest wish as a father. I hope you’ll agree to this condition and take good care of my children!”
With Ignatius having spoken so far, Donald, no matter what he considered, could only accept his request. Moreover, this plan brought immeasurable benefits to him, and he already had a favorable opinion of the elf deities. His relationship with the three goddesses and Loki was even more special!
Seeing Donald nod gently, even Ignatius, despite his dignity, felt delighted. He immediately took out the original covenant. After it was reviewed and perfected by the five true gods, Donald personally signed his divine name on it, leaving behind his soul’s imprint.
Thus, the Silver Moon Alliance, which would later shake the entire multiverse, was secretly established within the Kingdom of Azeroth.
Backed by the Silver Moon, presided over by the Elven Lord, witnessed by the flow of time, and signed by the two supreme gods— the Goddess of Magic and the Goddess of Agriculture—along with Donald and the goddesses of moonlight and darkness representing the elf deities, Lauren, they formed the supreme covenant of an eternal alliance, creating the most powerful alliance of true gods among the neutral factions.
