Chapter 430: All Settled

“Donald, you succeeded?”
Donald smiled and nodded. With a wave of his hand, the demigod Axse, surrounded by four secondary divine artifacts, vanished on the spot.
Ignoring the shock of the Prison Keepers, King Charles of the North laughed excitedly and clapped his hands. “Haha! My Celt’s hopes are rising!”
To bring a free demigod into the Divine Kingdom would not only expose the existence of the Book of Truth but also make it extremely difficult for Donald even if he managed to ignite the Divine Fire.
But facing a demigod who was temporarily unable to resist made things much simpler!
Temporarily trapping a demigod in the Truth Kingdom—a divine realm separated from the main world—Donald turned to the twelve Prison Keepers and said, “If you don’t resist, I still have ways to block the power of the Lord of Dawn. It’s up to you to choose!”
The demigod strongman, the warden, gave a bitter smile.
“Is it really up to us to choose?”
With that, he gave up resisting. Seeing their leader had made a choice, the other Prison Keepers also stopped resisting, whether they wanted to or not.
Donald waved his hand again, and the twelve Prison Keepers along with their secondary divine artifacts disappeared from the main world. No matter what faction these people had belonged to or whether they were enemies, once inside the Truth Kingdom, they were at his mercy. Even two demigods were just a slight hassle.
“Retreat…”
Seeing such a rapid reversal of circumstances—where the powerful warriors of the Lord of Dawn Church, whom they had relied on, had mostly turned against them, locking up their own powerful demigod—and at this critical moment, their target had successfully ignited the Divine Fire, eliminating thirteen members of the Lord of Dawn Church, including two demigods—how could this not fill with fear those northern barbarian strongmen who had been incited by the Lord of Dawn Church to stop the birth of Celt’s second demigod?
Realizing the situation was dire, the two-headed ogre wizard immediately shouted and tried to flee through the forest, but how could Donald allow these enemies trying to disrupt his ascension to escape?
“Have you gone?”

A transparent yet vast domain spanning thousands of feet instantly unfolded above Donald, enclosing all the alien warriors who failed to escape. The mental power targeting the soul level almost instantly shattered the will of the weakest of the legendary werewolf wanderers, while the others couldn’t hold on much longer. Within a few breaths, even the most powerful legendary two-headed ogre wizard finally collapsed like a mountain toppling.

After becoming a demi-god and gaining true divine power, the supreme mind-computer, this secondary artifact, could unleash its full strength, on par with that of its original owner, Aegon Targaryen. The combination of mental domains and mental blasts was far beyond the endurance of these legendary warriors, who were focused solely on escaping with no defenses.

Just a few breaths after the people from the Church of the Dawn disappeared and Donald dealt with the invading aliens, a furious roar came from seemingly distant skies. To those in the main world, it sounded like the echo of a thunderclap, reverberating for miles around.

A vast glow gathered above the clouds, but after circulating repeatedly, nothing further changed. This made Donald, who was looking up at the sky, sigh in disappointment.

In the end, Reason prevailed over anger in the Lord of Dawn, who chose not to descend in person. Otherwise, with a true god like Charles here, Donald was confident he could give him a good beating!

Seeing this, the King of the North shook his head and said with a laugh, “You seem to wish he’d descend. We’ve already offended them enough—better not push things too far!”

Hearing the King of the North’s words, Donald shook his head. “You’re wrong. Since we’ve offended them so many times, as long as there’s a chance, they’ll definitely retaliate. So we might as well offend them more thoroughly, draining their strength and scaring them. That way, every time they try to act, they’ll hesitate and doubt themselves, which will be most beneficial for us!”

Charles listened to Donald’s reasoning, shook his head with a smile, and said nothing. Their ways of thinking were fundamentally different, and he had no intention of changing anything.

At that moment, a pleasant female voice spoke, “I admire your straightforward and unpretentious personality, Donald. Florah must be the perfect example of your theory! Right now, she’s still hiding in her spider web. Though she hates you deeply, she didn’t even come to join in such a significant event as you lighting the divine fire! It’s truly tragic for her to oppose you!”

As soon as the words were spoken, a beautiful figure appeared before Donald and the other man.
“Princess Elenia!”
The King of the North and Donald bowed to the newcomer. Even though they were now gods, the goddess before them was a powerful supreme deity, and it was always wise to show courtesy to those stronger than oneself!
The Agricultural Goddess smiled in return and then said to the King of the North, “Princess Charlie, you’re still too cautious. Not all gods will respond positively just because you show kindness!”
Her words implied agreement with what Donald had said earlier—she, as one of the supreme deities, knew well about the vengeful nature of the Lord of Dawn. Though this powerful true god always presented a glorious and sacred image to outsiders, she tolerated no disrespect.
“What is the purpose of Princess Elenia’s visit to Dalaran today?”
The Agricultural Goddess gave Donald a glance.
“You’re asking something you already know! Of course, it’s to seek an alliance with you. The number of true gods is limited. We human gods have always had poor relations with other races and the gods of the dark faction. We are even at war with those of the evil faction and the abyssal demons. Although the multiverse appears peaceful on the surface, wars between gods occur from time to time. So, every new true god is a force we can leverage as older deities!”
Facing Donald, who was now a demi-god, the Agricultural Goddess became much more approachable, like a caring older sister.
With a gentle gesture, she created a barrier to prevent others from overhearing their conversation.
“As you already know, I, along with Lauren and Euliana, form an alliance to control the workings of the Silver Moon and oppose that old maid Elsa. Princes Garland and Asten are also our allies. From the elven pantheon, Lillian and Hilda can provide support at any time. Euliana even has mutual aid agreements with the rulers of the four elemental realms. So, joining our alliance is the wisest choice for you two right now!”
Donald and Charlie both nodded in agreement.
Indeed, aside from the four lower-ranking deities—Garland, the God of Art; Asten, the God of Knowledge; Lillian, the Goddess of Elven Life and Forests; and Hilda, the Goddess of Wind and Peace—just the Magic Goddess Euliana alone was enough to sustain this alliance.

The deeds of the Goddess of Magic, or rather, the Goddess of Elements and Magic, Julianne, are widely spread among the people in the Main Material World. This goddess actually governs not just magic, sorcery, and spells in a narrow sense, but rather most forms of energy that can be used for magic, such as various elemental energies, magical power, and mental strength. Otherwise, she would be called the Goddess of Sorcery or the God of Mages!

This is because after two world-ending disasters caused by the Great Arcane Empire and the goblin technology, both of which utilized energies beyond mortal control, the gods realized that to maintain stability in the Main World, they needed to restrict those powerful forces that could easily be stolen by mortals and lead to disasters. Thus, the Goddess of Magic, Julianne, was born.

It is said that Julianne was originally an orphan who lost her parents at a young age. She survived and grew up under the care of kind people. Due to her natural aptitude for magic, she was taken in as an apprentice by a female mage. After her teacher passed away, the inexperienced Julianne joined a mercenary group and became a female mercenary who made a living through adventures.

With her kind personality, clear sense of right and wrong, and considerable strength as a silver mage, she was highly respected in the world of adventurers. Until one day, during a magical disaster, she chose to sacrifice herself to protect the town where her adoptive parents lived.

Grateful for her sacrifices, the people made Julianne a hero through the power of faith, allowing her to continue protecting the town she once lived in. This deed was noticed by several wise neutral gods who were observing the magical disaster. Impressed by Julianne’s integrity, kindness, and dedication, they proposed that this mortal hero take control of the powerful role of magic.

Among the gods who proposed this idea, many coveted the power associated with this role and engaged in fierce competition for it. As the most selfless neutral gods, who did not want to see another war among the gods, they initiated a vote in the Pantheon led by the most influential neutral gods, the scholar Asten and the god of the underworld, Rops. They received support from most neutral and lawful-aligned gods. Even those who were dissatisfied chose to agree, thinking that if they couldn’t get it, neither could their rivals.

Thus, the gods revived Julianne and granted her divinity and the role of magic, guiding her to ignite the divine fire and establish a divine kingdom. It was then that this mortal mage who died in the magical disaster became the new Goddess of Magic.

Since the priesthood of magic controls most supernatural powers, it is so powerful that it elevated Euliana, who ignited the Divine Flame, to the strength of a mid-tier god. After hundreds of years of accumulation, she naturally surpassed the threshold to become an upper-tier god. Thousands of years have passed now, and the Goddess of Magic is now the most formidable figure in the neutral faction. Alongside the God of the Underworld, Rops, she is considered one of the two strongest neutral upper-tier gods, with every move of hers capable of influencing changes within the pantheon.
