Chapter 240: The Sea of Another World (Part 2)

That terrifying spatial fragment arrived quickly and left just as fast. Two or three minutes later, Donald realized that they were no longer under attack beneath the floating ice, and he immediately knew they had found a safe place.
With a crack, the ice split open. Donald controlled the pale golden light shield to retract, enclosing the five of them as they descended into the sea.
In the blink of an eye, the scene changed. Just moments ago, they were surrounded by fierce winds, lightning, and terrifying spatial fragments, but the next second, they found themselves in a calm waterscape.
The light blue sea water formed a distinct contrast against the dark surrounding water, seemingly immiscible like water and oil. Beneath the surface of the storm zone, there was a wide, 100-foot-wide safe zone.
“We’ve made it!”
Carlisle let out a huge sigh of relief, putting aside his worries as he marveled at their surroundings.
The passage they were in was calm and waveless, much like the shallow, blue waters of the Falling Star Sea, while the fierce winds, lightning, and turbulent waves outside could be seen clearly.
“It’s amazing!”
Donald didn’t waste time in admiration. First, he summoned two creatures the size of house dogs—Mugor merfolk, a type of wild aquatic soldier among magical beasts. Though they appeared somewhat clumsy on land, once in water, they were faster than fish.
Owls could share their master’s vision, but they couldn’t survive in such an environment, so Donald summoned two of the lowest-tier merfolk to scout ahead.
Soon, the merfolk in one direction lost contact. With the description from the informant, the bottom-dwelling demon fish, Donald knew one end of the passage was a dead end, filled with cracks caused by spatial fragments, while the other side led to another world.
He then cast a water-breathing spell on himself and the others and said, “There’s no time to talk. We have less than three days—or we’ll be trapped in the Storm Sea. Let’s hurry!”
As he removed the divine shield, Carlisle, who was about to speak, had seawater fill his mouth. Fortunately, thanks to Donald’s water-breathing spell, he could breathe freely underwater and wasn’t choked.

Although Underwater Breathing is only a third-level spell, in special circumstances, it can achieve effects that even higher-level spells cannot match. Hearing Donald’s words, everyone realized time was pressing, so those who hadn’t spoken began swimming in the direction he indicated. Only Carlisle glared at him after taking a sip of seawater before following as well. Though Donald started first, he was quickly caught up to and overtaken by several Sword Saints, with only Uther remaining loyally by his side. That guy, Carlisle, even turned back to look at him triumphantly, mouthing something like whether he needed to be carried along, avenging himself for the sip of seawater earlier. Donald ignored him—he couldn’t use flight spells underwater, and relying solely on swimming would exhaust an ordinary mage. Even though Donald was strong, it wouldn’t increase his swimming speed. So he immediately cast Water Walking on himself. Water Walking is a second-level spell that grants the user the swimming speed of aquatic creatures. Combined with Underwater Breathing, it greatly enhances a mage’s survival ability underwater. With Water Walking, Donald quickly caught up with the group ahead. However, his pure swimming speed still couldn’t match the explosive power generated by the Sword Saints’ sword auras, so he had to cast another sixth-level spell, Ocean Cloak. This spell allows the user to gain invisibility while underwater, enabling free movement. Combined with the three effects of Underwater Breathing—invisibility prevents detection by predators in water, and free movement, combined with Water Walking, makes him even more powerful, allowing Donald to move swiftly through water as if on land. With his powerful Hunter class abilities, he quickly overtook everyone and moved to the front. Seeing that his speed was now far ahead of the others, Donald stopped and waved, casting Water Walking on the other four as well, so their speed could match his. The five of them swam forward at top speed. Before long, half a day passed, and the dark clouds and storms around the passage were no longer visible, with the color of the seawater outside also lightening. After swimming several dozen more kilometers, they could see small marine creatures around them, indicating they had passed the most dangerous area and left the stormy seas. Since they couldn’t speak underwater, Donald didn’t bother casting communication spells anymore and instead used his telepathic ability to convey his thoughts to their minds. He gestured and said, “Follow me!” The five of them immediately swam toward the surface. “Splash!”

“Huh!”
Suddenly, five seaweed-like heads emerged from the vast ocean surface.
Although they could now breathe freely underwater, the submerged environment still made them feel suffocated. As soon as they surfaced, they couldn’t help but take deep breaths of the air above.
Wiping the wet hair from his face, Vincent immediately asked, “So, Donald? Have we arrived in another dimension?”
The others also turned their attention to Donald’s face.
In fact, when they entered the underwater passage, the Book of Truth in his consciousness began to vibrate violently, quickly conveying a message to him. This was because they had entered another dimension with rules slightly different from those of their main world. The Book of Truth immediately analyzed the rules of this world and came to a conclusion.
Donald smiled and said, “Don’t worry! We’ve arrived in another world. Its rules are similar to those of our main world. Now that the two worlds are merging, we can exert at least 90% of our strength here without much suppression!”
Both Carlisle and the other man couldn’t help but laugh, even the female sword saint Abel showed a smile.
“Alright, stop shouting. Otherwise, we might attract some magical beasts. Let’s first determine the direction of land and then move forward at full speed!”
Saying this, Donald took out a airship from space and landed it on the ocean surface. He then summoned two goblin pilots to control the airship into the air.
An alchemical airship was much more comfortable than flying magical beasts, and it didn’t interfere with eating or resting—more stable even than a carriage.
After flying over the ocean for most of the day, Donald finally used the Book of Truth to measure and analyze the underwater slope, tidal changes, and fish sizes, thereby determining the likely direction of the continent’s coast.
Perhaps because the airship was flying at thousands of feet altitude, aside from a few large birds, Donald and his companions weren’t disturbed by any magical beasts.
Moving in the direction Donald had deduced, after a long half month, the five of them finally spotted land.
The first to notice something was Carlisle, who was bored and walking on the deck. The cold wind howled at thousands of feet altitude, and the air was thin, but this wasn’t a unbearable ordeal for these golden-powered warriors. So Donald simply placed a magical barrier at the ship’s entrance to prevent the cold wind from blowing in.
“Come out quickly! Look…”

A few people heard Carlisle’s shouting, came out of the cabin, and looked in the direction he was pointing. Sure enough, in the vast ocean, there appeared a long, endless, faintly blurred black shape. Experienced sailors knew that unless this was a mirage, it meant they were not far from the coastline.
