Chapter 305: The Yin Yellow Realm
At this moment, the entire square fell silent as everyone watched Rod endure the violent elemental attacks. They could sense his aura growing stronger by the second, and the pressure emanating from him became increasingly intense. Everyone knew the final step was approaching—once he crossed it, Rod would become a true god-tier warrior.
At the same time, the Netherworld exerted an endless allure on everyone, offering them another chance to witness its miracles. This was the power of the Netherworld, what made it so mesmerizing.
Lucy, Sognar, Lilith, and the others stared at Rod with excitement, their faces filled with smiles as they waited for his return.
Time seemed to pass endlessly, like thousands of years, until finally, the violent elements around them calmed down, and everything returned to peace. Only Rod remained, standing with his sword in hand, eyes slightly closed as he delved into the mysteries of the world.
Suddenly, he opened his eyes, and a sharp glint flashed like a tangible beam. Everyone felt its intensity—it was breathtaking. That gaze seemed to pierce through everyone’s hearts, making it impossible to look directly at it. Fortunately, the flash was brief before disappearing, and Rod’s expression softened once again.
Immediately afterward, everyone was shocked once more as it seemed all elements and life forces in the world were bowing in Rod’s direction. They were worshipping the birth of another king, their king. Even some of the weaker warriors present bowed in submission under that subtle aura of authority. This was the might of a strong one.
“It seems it’s over!” Feeling the surging combat energy within him, Rod was overwhelmed with satisfaction. He had succeeded—entering the Yin Yellow Realm without any trouble. Delighted, he let out a loud roar and soared into the sky.
“That kid!” Sognar said with a bitter smile as he watched Rod in the distance and heard his domineering roar.
In the next instant, those who had been driven back rushed toward the platform again and arrived beside Rod in an instant.
“Brother, congratulations! You’ve reached the Yin Yellow Realm!” Lucy congratulated him.
“Kid, you’re lucky. You’re still a bit behind me, but it’s acceptable!” Sognar boasted arrogantly, though his tone had subtly changed.
Lilith said nothing, merely staring at Rod with a faint smile and a look of relief. Rod gave her a slight nod in return.
Soon after, members of various major families came to offer their congratulations. A powerful warrior at the Yin Yellow realm was already considered a top-tier figure even in a place as extreme as the Source of Darkness. No organization wanted to provoke such a strong person easily, as even major families would gain nothing by angering them, so they chose to build relationships instead. Even members of hostile factions came to offer their congratulations.
“Brother Rod, you’ve truly made me feel ashamed! I never expected that by our next meeting, you’d have reached such a level!” Gu Yi said with a smile as he approached Rod, filled with admiration.
“Please, Brother Gu Yi, you’re too kind!” Rod still held some wariness toward Gu Yi.
“Well, the opening of the Nether Realm has been successfully completed. I hope Brother Rod can visit my Water Curtain City when you have time. I promise I won’t disappoint you!” With the end of the Nether Realm, members of various factions would leave Ice City within a few days and return to their own homes. Gu Yi’s invitation carried an obvious meaning.
“New talents emerge in every generation, each dominating for centuries. The world now belongs to you young people!” The elder of the Mi Jiao clan also came up to Rod, his expression kind, though it was clear that the man beside him was furious, wishing he could devour Rod on the spot. Out of respect for the elder, he dared not speak and could only endure his anger, his expression as ugly as possible.
Rod chose to ignore his expression. After having kicked that guy out, how could he expect him to be friendly? There was no need to bother with such a person.
“Please, I wouldn’t dare take on such a responsibility in front of a senior!” Rod replied politely to the elder of the Mi Jiao clan. The Mi Jiao clan had ulterior motives, and he avoided such families. Naturally, he couldn’t associate with their elders.
Members of the Scorpion King clan, the Dragon clan, and the Black Phoenix clan offered their sincere blessings. Rod happily accepted their congratulations. These three clans had a good relationship with him and had indeed helped him a great deal over the years. It was only right to maintain those relationships.
Things became a bit awkward when members of the York clan came to offer their congratulations. Rod’s growth was definitely the last thing they wanted to see! Yet that’s exactly what happened—coming with hatred, wearing grim expressions, the scene was as funny as it could be. Coupled with Sognar’s sarcastic remarks, it became even more awkward.
Rod, of course, didn’t treat the York clan members kindly either. These guys, especially the one who had entered the Netherworld, had even joined forces with members of the Zi Yang and Mi Jiao clans to hunt him down! Thankfully, Lucy and Sognar went in this time; if he had gone in alone, he would have been killed. Rod certainly wouldn’t want to associate with such despicable people!
As for the York family, they were also unhappy. Two of their members—one had already passed the second level and was on the verge of entering the Netherworld—was kicked out by Rod. That was the most unacceptable outcome. Zi Yang was also eliminated by Rod at the most critical moment. Their hatred was deep as the ocean! If it weren’t for Rod, who knows what the final result would have been! With two members of the York family entering the core of the Netherworld, the outcome was uncertain.
In short, everyone present was extremely conflicted at that moment.
Finally, after everyone arrived, it was announced that the Netherworld would be closed, and it wouldn’t reopen until a year later. This trip to the Netherworld was highly rewarding, especially for Rod, followed by Sognar and Lucy. As for Zi Yang, he might have been the luckiest one, while the Mi Jiao clan and the York family weren’t faring much better.
As the Netherworld closed, the spectators, still in awe, began to leave the square. This trip to the Netherworld had shown them too many incredible things, witnessed too many miracles, and seen too many records set—especially Rod’s heroic effort to overcome the thunder tribulation at the last moment! Those scenes would forever remain etched in everyone’s hearts.
The spectators dispersed, and those on the stage also left, with each family taking their people back to their bases.
The Black Phoenix clan, due to Lucy’s insistence, chose to rest at the Dragon clan’s residence. Perhaps because of Rod, the relationship between the Black Phoenix clan and the Dragon clan had reached an unprecedented level! No wonder outsiders joked that the two clans were about to merge.
Exhaling deeply, Rod was utterly exhausted after dealing with everything, yet a hint of excitement still lingered on his lips. This time, he hadn’t merely reached the Yin Huang realm as others saw—it was even more significant that he had directly advanced to the intermediate stage of this realm, skipping over the initial stage in one go. This was truly a huge achievement.
It should be noted that the harder one climbs, the more difficult it becomes to improve one’s strength. Achieving such results was extremely rare!
Only then did Rod realize just how much benefit the illusory space in the Nether Realm had brought him during this journey. While inside, he hadn’t used his combat energy and hadn’t observed carefully, fully immersing himself in that world, so he hadn’t noticed anything. But once he came out, he immediately felt the difference.
For ordinary people, it usually takes at least a hundred or eighty years to advance from the initial stage to the intermediate stage of Yin Huang. Even geniuses would need ten to twenty years to reach this level. Even someone as lucky as Rod would likely need a considerable amount of time. To have reached this stage so quickly was a huge fortune.
Along the way, they chatted and laughed, wisely avoiding any mention of matters inside the Nether Realm. According to the rules, such information could not be revealed, otherwise, one would face pursuit by the Nether Realm—a consequence no one could bear.
Back at the Dragon Clan’s residence, although it seemed like only a day had passed to others, Rod and Sognar had actually been away for a month. Returning here, they naturally felt relieved.
Aida and Eirwen also came to the Dragon Clan’s residence that day. Seeing them again, Rod’s feelings changed. Were they still those who had supported the troll race a thousand years ago? Had a thousand years changed their minds? He wasn’t sure about any of this.
For now, Rod wasn’t in a hurry to figure these things out. He had only two tasks: first, to find the antidote his father needed as soon as possible, and second, to stop the war faction’s schemes. Of course, improving his own strength was also essential! These were all urgent matters that needed to be completed quickly, as time was running out—Rod was well aware of this.
In the quiet of the night, Lucy and Sognar came to Rod’s room. Surprisingly, they knew what he was about to do and offered to help him accomplish it.
Perhaps they were told this while testing the elemental space inside the Netherworld. That was good too; having two strong helpers could indeed save a lot of time, especially since they had two large families backing them up. Since they knew what they had to do, Rod simply laid it all out. After some discussion, it was decided that Sognar would stay at the Source of Darkness to keep an eye on the actions of the demon faction’s main combat group, while Rod and Lucy would rush to the Battlefield of Death as quickly as possible to find the first ingredient for the antidote—the Netherflower! After reaching a decision and having a clear plan, Rod’s mood improved significantly.
