Chapter 174: Not Bad, Let’s See How You Do

The atmosphere was extremely strange, but the three men seemed utterly unaware, continuing as usual with lewd smiles on their faces. The four women, on the other hand, showed no signs of panic, sitting quietly and observing the approaching men as if unbothered.

By now, Rod had clenched his fists, ready to act at any moment. He inwardly groaned—true to the saying that beauty brings trouble; he had already run into issues. Just as Rod was about to strike, an arm suddenly rested on his shoulder. Turning around, he saw Sognar looking relaxed, enjoying the scene like a spectator.

“Don’t worry, they won’t hurt you!” he muttered in a voice only Rod and he could hear, then glanced at Lilith, signaling Rod not to act rashly.

Instantly understanding Sognar’s meaning, Rod wore a half-smile, realizing he had almost forgotten how fierce Lilith was. Even with just the two of them against those men, they had no chance against her. With her around, those guys were doomed today.

Relaxing his fists, Rod sat back down, calmly waiting to see how Lilith would handle things.

“Hehe, beauty, how about drinking with me?” The leader of the group had already approached Lilith. His taste was decent—though all the women there were top-notch, Lilith stood out with her mature charm and a slightly flirtatious expression, giving her an edge over the other three.

“Sir, it’s not that I refuse, but I’m afraid they won’t agree! Otherwise, they’ll scold me when I go back!” Unexpectedly, instead of turning into a fierce dragon, Lilith turned her gaze to Rod and Sognar with a terrifyingly sweet smile, then coquettishly spoke to the man in a voice that was downright intoxicating.

Sognar and Rod, who were observing her, felt chills run down their spines. Lilith’s behavior made them realize things were about to go wrong.

“Mm-hmm, we too!” As if in agreement, Lucy, Ada, and the others adopted a coy demeanor, staring at Rod and Sognar with a teasing look in their eyes.

Lilith, in particular, was bold—she wrapped her arms around Sognar sitting beside her and coquettishly asked, “Sir, shall I drink with them?”

The immediate consequence of this move was that Sognar spat out the food in his mouth, his face freezing in place as it turned red with anger.
“Hey, kid… is she your woman?” Sure enough, his scheme worked—Lilith successfully diverted the four men’s attention, leaving Sognar as their target.
The four men surrounded Rod and Sognar from all sides, focusing their attention on Sognar. “I’m not an idiot, so get lost right now! I’ve taken a liking to these beautiful ladies!” The leader pulled out a huge axe half as tall as a person from his waist, holding it tightly and staring at Sognar.
“And you… little guy, with your weak build, if you don’t want to suffer, take your master and get out of here! We don’t mind crushing a flea!” Rod’s face also turned pale at these words.
The gleaming axe exuded a chilling menace, its blade stained with countless people’s blood and souls.
“Mm-hmm, sir, just leave. Don’t worry about me! It would be bad if you got hurt! Go ahead and let me fend for myself! After all, this isn’t the first time you’ve done this!” Lilith said in a pitiful tone, looking at Sognar with tears in her eyes. Her miserable appearance only fueled the murmurs of those in the distance. Everyone’s gaze toward Sognar had completely changed, filled with disdain.
His face was stiff, veins bulging on his forehead as sweat trickled down. Sognar’s expression was as ugly as it could get. He cursed Lilith, calling her a witch! The scornful looks around him made him gasp for air, his eyes turning red.
There was a feeling known as utter humiliation. If he could, Sognar would surely find a hole to hide in.
“Hey, kid, so you’re just a coward after all? Hehe, pretty girl, there’s no point in following someone like him. Join us, and we’ll make sure you have a great time! As for this guy, I’ll take care of him for you!” The man stared at Sognar, then turned to look at Lilith affectionately, speaking cheerfully. To him, this was a perfect chance to prove himself!
If he could, he would throw away that bitch Lilith and leave immediately, but Sognar knew it was impossible under the current circumstances.

“Damn you, Lilith! I haven’t done anything to you, have I? Your head must’ve been kicked by a donkey!” Finally, under the opponent’s glaring axe, Sognar exploded in anger. He stood up abruptly, pointed at Lilith, and cursed at her fiercely.
“Oh, so you’re getting bold now, huh? Today, I’ll avenge heaven and deal with you, you heartless wretch!” Sognar’s roar didn’t scare Lilith at all but instead vented the man’s pent-up anger.
“Stop! Please, sir! Though I may not be much of a man, he was once my man—please don’t hurt him!” The moment she saw the man about to strike, Lilith grabbed his hand and cried out.
The performance was absolutely unmatched; even Rod, watching from the side, was stunned. The acting was so flawless that it made one wonder if these two had really been a couple before, and if Sognar had truly wronged Lilith.
“Get lost, you crazy woman! I haven’t done anything to you—there’s no need to act like this!” Shaking off Lilith’s hand, Sognar shouted in frustration.
He was truly driven mad—this was the first time someone had teased him like this. He had lost his sanity, and now all he wanted was to deal with that bitch, Lilith.
“Damn it, you brat, you think you can just take advantage of others? Don’t you see that others are pleading for you? If I don’t deal with you today, do you really think you’ll be safe?” With that, the man pushed him hard, sending Sognar flying.
“Don’t say I bullied you. I’m giving you a chance—I’ll teach you a lesson alone. If you can escape, consider it lucky!” Saying that, he stopped the other three men from stepping forward. In just a few steps, he reached Sognar and began swinging his huge axe with fierce momentum.
“You’ll kill someone with this!” Rod said grimly, looking at Lilith, who was gloating. He really admired this guy—why not play something else? This time, Sognar was surely going to go crazy.
At the same time, he prayed for the man—Sognar’s fury was beyond what anyone could endure. A low-stage quasi-divine being was no different from an ant in front of Sognar.
“Don’t you think it’s fun? Want to give it a try?” Lilith said with a smile that could kill anyone.
“No, no… I… I want to live a few more years!” Rod quickly refused, preferring to dance with wolves rather than play with this guy.

“We’re not going up to help. It seems Brother Sognar is really angry now. Isn’t that a problem?” Lucy asked worriedly.
“Don’t worry, dealing with these guys is enough!” Lilith said cheerfully, waving her hand before sitting back down to watch with interest.
“Don’t worry, Brother Sognar will be fine. These people can’t even threaten him!” Aida added, also looking relaxed.
“I think so too!” Eirwen appeared harmless as well.
“You guys are really ruthless! Brother Sognar is definitely going to hold a grudge against you this time!” Rod said helplessly, glancing at Lilith with a grim expression.
“What’s there to fear? Do you think he can eat me? He doesn’t have the ability! Just stay calm!”
…
At that moment, the entire hotel was in an uproar. Everyone was ready to watch the spectacle. Clearly, in everyone’s eyes, Sognar was unlucky this time. There was no sympathy; after hearing Lilith’s words, everyone even hoped Sognar would be given a good lesson. Sognar must be going crazy if he knew what everyone was thinking.
“Bastards, get lost!” Finally, under the opponent’s attacks, Sognar lost his temper. With a loud roar, he threw a punch. Though simple, it carried overwhelming force, sending the man in front of him flying and leaving a trail of blood.
Everyone was stunned into silence. They stared at the man, unable to believe he was so powerful—able to knock out a quasi-divine-level beginner with just one punch.
“Die!” Glancing at the other three, Sognar rushed forward and threw three consecutive punches without hesitation, giving them no chance to react. He sent them flying like comets. The speed was dazzling; the three didn’t even have time to react before they were sent flying.
It was then that everyone realized this man was no ordinary person. Their gazes toward him changed, and even their look at Lilith shifted. Those who were smarter understood what was going on.
The four men were flung out of the hotel and lay on the ground, barely alive. With a pale face, Sognar walked up to Lilith and said, “Not bad. We’ll see who’s better!” Then he left angrily, striding away without hesitation.
“This has gotten out of hand…” Rod said with a bitter smile, rolling his eyes. He quickly followed after him. With Sognar in such a rage, who knew what else he might do if not followed.
