Volume 1: The King of Scoundrels

Chapter 1: Damn it, I’ve been transported?
It hurt! An excruciating pain as if his entire body were being torn apart. “What’s happening to me?”
Completely confused, Lin Feng felt as though the whole world was spinning around him.
“Damn it, what’s going on? What are these things?” Suddenly, he sensed countless strange elements flooding his mind. Lin Feng cried out in confusion. The pain was unbearable, as if his mind had been filled with tons of information all at once. Countless unfamiliar concepts and words flashed through his mind like slides, astonishingly fast! For a moment, the intense pain in his body and the swelling in his head forced him to immerse himself in that environment.
It took some time before Lin Feng regained consciousness. This time, in addition to the pain in his mind, he also felt severe cramps throughout his body. His muscles felt as though they were being pierced by countless steel needles, and the intense pain made him groan.
“Naitrod, what’s wrong? Are you awake?” Suddenly, Lin Feng heard a strange yet familiar voice beside him, tinged with concern and excitement.
“Kambi?” Immediately, a strange name popped into his mind. For some reason, he even saw the image of a stranger, but it gave him a very familiar feeling.
“Cough, cough…” With great effort, Lin Feng finally opened his eyes. A beam of light struck them, forcing him to close them again instinctively.
“Thank goodness! Praise the Great God of Light! You’ve finally come to your senses!” Moments later, he heard the voice cheering again.
Looking at the person in front of him, he was stunned. A man with fiery red hair, light blue eyes, standing at about 1.7 meters tall and slightly muscular, wearing slightly old-fashioned blue-gray shorts—this man definitely didn’t look like an Earthling! At least, he didn’t know anyone like this.
“Damn it… Could it be… I’ve been transported?” Suddenly, an idea popped into Lin Feng’s mind, leaving him completely stunned!

Lin Feng remembered that he had just been playing games with some of his unsavory friends. In the game “Xianxia World,” the warrior finally managed to defeat the boss of the new dungeon, causing the Xuanyuan Sacred Sword to drop. Before he could even laugh, everything went dark and he found himself transported elsewhere. Thinking of this, he couldn’t help but smile bitterly. Suddenly, a warmth spread through his lower abdomen, and a voice called out, “Master…” Unfortunately, before he could investigate the source of this voice, he was awakened by the voice of that guy, Kambi, outside! “Rod, are you okay? Did you get knocked out? Damn that damned Roger—just using his family background and some worthless strength to bully us here. It was okay before, but look at this time—he’s left you in this state! Damn him! You almost died! If it weren’t for my earnest prayers and meticulous care here, which moved the great God of Light, you’d be dead by now!” Seeing Knight Rod sitting there in a daze, Kambi quickly patted Rod’s head and cursed. “You really didn’t get stupid, did you? Rod, don’t scare me! What am I supposed to do if you die? The old man will definitely give me trouble when he returns! Get well soon, damn it! Don’t worry about Roger! When I gain enough strength, I’ll definitely avenge you. Don’t worry!” Seeing that Knight Rod still showed no reaction, Kambi hurriedly added, slapping his chest emphatically to assure him. “Kambi… Yeah, I’m fine now. Cough, cough… It just hurts all over. Damn it, my mind is also in chaos. I’m fine now, don’t worry. Yeah! Let me be alone for a while. If there’s nothing else, just leave me alone for a bit!” Indeed, returning to reality had made him understand many things. At least his mind was in chaos now. Even though he had been transported, there were still many things he needed to figure out, like this guy around him. Also, he was still seriously injured. His top priority was to recover his health. After all, health was the foundation of everything—how could one revolutionize anything without it? “Are you really fine?” Kambi asked doubtfully, looking at Rod, who seemed to have returned to normal. He feared it might just be an illusion. Moreover, for some reason, he felt that Knight Rod seemed different from usual.

“It’s okay, you can go now!” With a helpless wry smile, looking at Kambi’s suspicious gaze, Lin Feng felt a sense of emptiness in his heart. For some reason, he always felt guilty when facing this guy who cared about him! Because he already knew that Kambi and the original owner of his body had grown up together through thick and thin, like brothers—their bond even going beyond that of simply sharing underwear. Now, not only was he occupying his brother’s body, but he also had to make Kambi take care of him. It was a uncomfortable feeling.

“Hmm, be careful then. I’m right next door. Just call me if anything happens!”

After staring at Knightrod for a long time without noticing anything unusual, Kambi finally breathed a sigh of relief and slowly headed outside.

After Kambi left, Lin Feng settled down alone and sorted out his thoughts. He muttered angrily to himself, “That’s right. What he sorted out filled him with excitement and anticipation, but also a hint of frustration.”

“Oltans Continent, Knightrod?” After much deliberation, Rod said those two words with a wry smile.

Indeed, Lin Feng was currently in Flaming City, a small town within the Lance Empire of the Oltans Continent. In this town with less than 50,000 people, the city lord’s mansion held absolute power.

Take this incident, for example—Knightrod ended up like this because of the arrogant young master of the city lord’s mansion! If it weren’t for Rod’s inexplicable time travel, Knightrod might never have seen the sunlight again! In such a small town, even if someone like Knightrod was killed by Roger, no one would sympathize with him, and Roger himself wouldn’t face any punishment.

In this world where the strong ruled and hierarchy was strict, such things were commonplace. No one would sympathize with or help you—here, strength was everything!

“Damn this hierarchy, damn this system! If I had the power, the first thing I’d do is abolish it!” Thinking of the hierarchical system, Lin Feng gritted his teeth and cursed fiercely.

However, this continent wasn’t entirely useless. At least here, there was one thing that excited Lin Feng greatly—magic and combat energy, which could only be seen on TV and in games. This was a world dominated by magic and combat energy. Knightrod lived in such a world. Upon hearing this, a sinister smile appeared on Lin Feng’s lips—a bloodthirsty smile that even demons would find terrifying!
“Hehe, a brand-new world—looks pretty good! Let it be Knightrod; it’s better than dying. Since fate has brought me here, I’ll make the most of it! Who knows…”, Lin Feng thought, a smile forming on his lips.
“Mm, from now on, I’m Knightrod. Rod is me!” His gaze suddenly sharpened as he spoke to himself.
“That can’t be true!” In less than a moment, Rod’s spirit sank. A cruel reality lay before him.
Without the powerful strength and extraordinary background typical of protagonists in fantasy novels after transcending dimensions, he was now just a resident of a small town—even a troublemaker. Orphaned, he was adopted by an old man of unknown origin, who was, moreover, a good-for-nothing!
Perhaps influenced by the old man, Knightrod also led a dissolute life, hanging around the city with his brothers every day!
Worse still, Rod realized the tragic truth: Knightrod wasn’t just a hooligan but a complete worthless fool. Seventeen years old and not even a beginner swordsman or mage—purely useless. He struggled through life while constantly being bullied. Perhaps the only thing worth boasting about was his resilience, akin to that of a cockroach, as he could always recover quickly from injuries.
“Damn it! Who said transcending dimensions makes you strong? Who said money and women come easily? All bullshit! Damn fate! Can’t it be any worse?”
Glaring at the dilapidated roof, Rod complained in frustration. The gap between ideals and reality was always so vast—ideals were beautiful, but reality was always cruel!
“Master? Is it the master?”
At that moment, the voice came again, as if it originated from within his own mind.

“Who is it? Is someone calling me?” With a hint of confusion, Rod quickly looked around and asked. Unfortunately, after searching everywhere, there was nothing but a slightly dilapidated cottage and its old furnishings.
“I’m on your dantian!” The voice came again as Knight Rod was utterly puzzled. This time, he felt that familiar burning sensation in his lower abdomen!
Enduring the pain, he quickly lifted his clothes and looked at his abdomen. Rod was shocked to see a tattoo there—of a sword. The more he looked at it, the more familiar it seemed, as if he had seen it somewhere before. Suddenly, his heart skipped a beat, and he exclaimed, “Damn it, the Xuanyuan Sword! No way!”
