Chapter 53: Meeting – Section 6
“Bang!!”
The intense energy waves spread out like shockwaves, instantly clearing the area around Hei Fa. At the same time, the space behind him suddenly shattered, and a blurred human figure rushed out, its chest opening wide as if to encase Hei Fa within a shell.
With continuous “clicking” sounds, Hei Fa quickly completed the equipping of Ya Zi’s armor. Just then, the Blood Wolf warriors fighting in the battle closed in to less than ten meters away from him.
Whether it was due to their similar fighting styles or similar mentalities, all these Blood Wolf warriors were equipped with Primitive Power Armor that could transform in the same way. Their appearance was roughly similar to that of human knights in medieval times, but they all had two prismatic wings on their backs. The edges of the wings were as sharp as knives, reflecting a dark blue glow under the light—clearly deadly weapons that emitted a shrill sound as they swept through the air. When they reached ten meters away from Hei Fa, these warriors performed the same action simultaneously: they clasped their hands together!!
“Whoosh!!”
With a synchronized sound of cutting through the air, a blue glow appeared in everyone’s hands, gathering together and instantly transforming into various weapons—some were long knives, some were four-meter-long spears, and others… even resembled sniper guns.
Energy materialized… weapons took shape!!
Beneath Ya Zi’s mask, Hei Fa revealed a satisfied smile. Though these kids’ personalities had been influenced by violence, their skills were truly impressive. Having just come into contact with Primitive Power Armor, they had already mastered one of its abilities. It had to be said that these warriors’ capabilities exceeded Hei Fa’s expectations. He had thought it would take at least five minutes for them to master their first combat ability.
However, this increased the pressure on Hei Fa even further. Primitive Power Armor was no ordinary mecha—its agility and lethality were unprecedentedly strong. Despite the small size of those energy weapons, being hit by them would likely be as deadly as a Snake Fang’s strike. Hei Fa certainly didn’t want to be surrounded by them like this.
Moreover, this was Li Feng’s mecha cockpit… if he went all out…
A glint appeared in his eyes as Ya Zi retreated rapidly. At the same time, the lead Blood Wolf warrior swung his first attack—a bright two-handed greatsword that sliced through the air and struck the spot where the black-haired man had been just moments ago. A deep crack appeared on the hard deck, and through it, one could even see the dense network of pipes below.
“Hey! Be careful! Don’t destroy Li Feng!!” The monkey beside him was visibly distressed, shouting loudly while sensing something was wrong.
He too was a user of Primal Energy Armor and knew well its power. Logically, such a strike shouldn’t have resulted in just a crack. It was a full-force attack, and with the energy density of Primal Energy Armor, even splitting Li Feng in half wouldn’t surprise him.
That’s because… I can’t let them destroy it…
As Ya Zi retreated at high speed, the black-haired man smiled faintly. He was satisfied with the previous attack, which gave him a deeper understanding of Ya Zi’s abilities. To outsiders, he might seem to be simply retreating, but no one knew that within those retreats, the black-haired man had already used Ya Zi’s precise abilities to refine and disperse the surrounding energy. Thus, despite the warrior’s fierce attacks, their actual destructive power had long been limited by the black-haired man—no more than that of the setting sun.
Only in this way could the black-haired man be confident in defeating these madmen while sparing their lives!!
“Activate ability—low-level energy conversion, speed!”
With a soft shout from the black-haired man, blue light flashed in Ya Zi’s eyes. His entire body instantly stopped retreating, as physical laws seemed to hold no restraint over him. Before the charging warriors could react, Ya Zi had already transformed into a streak of light and rushed into their midst.
“Bang bang bang bang…”
Heavy thuds echoed in succession as the black-haired man moved through the crowd like a fish! The crowd was crowded, but no matter how tiny the gap, Ya Zi could slip through it. In an instant, he truly became a streak of light…
“That’s impossible!!” The Blood-Pupiled man and the others were shocked, unable to believe their eyes.
They could clearly see that the black-haired man’s performance was no longer just about speed—it was a combination of skill and reflexes. To find fleeting gaps in a constantly changing crowd required terrifying reflexes. His performance far exceeded human limits!!
And the results of such performance were truly astonishing…
Due to attacking Blackhair simultaneously, the Blood Wolf Warriors formed a very dense formation. It was fine in regular battles, but once close combat began, the disadvantages of this dense formation became apparent. Blackhair’s speed was simply too fast—many warriors not only failed to hit him but also ended up hitting their own comrades in his path. Those continuous dull thuds were the sound of these warriors accidentally harming each other. With just one passage through their ranks, at least twenty warriors were knocked out of the fight!!
At that moment, he also managed to break through their formation and appeared behind the Blood Wolf Warriors.
His chest rose and fell slightly as Blackhair felt a bit dizzy. His rapid movement earlier might have seemed simple, but it was actually extremely dangerous. It required the user to have sufficient reaction speed. Otherwise, even an egg flying at thousands of kilometers per hour would cause mutual destruction if it hit a piece of paper. That’s why, if these warriors hadn’t been so powerful, Blackhair wouldn’t have used such a risky technique.
Though it sounded complicated, it actually happened in an instant. Blackhair stopped in his tracks, right next to a damaged Ruyang unit under repair. As soon as he settled down, a shrill wind-scraping sound came from behind.
“Whoa!” Blackhair quickly crouched down. After a fierce shriek above his head, the Ruyang unit beside him was instantly split in two. A sharp energy long sword whizzed past from above before flying back. Blackhair turned around and saw it was the warrior who had spoken to him earlier. As he charged at Blackhair, he also reached out to catch the returning sword.
“Good kid.”
A hint of appreciation appeared in Blackhair’s eyes. Clearly, these warriors had a very strong fighting spirit. His fierce assault earlier not only failed to break their formation but also fueled their competitiveness.
So, he didn’t need to hold back anymore…
A faint cold smile appeared on Blackhair’s lips. Instead of retreating, he took a slight step forward as the Blood Wolf Warriors rushed toward him. He stretched out his left hand and punched the already split Ruyang unit hard.
“Bang!”
A loud explosion echoed. That six-meter-tall Ruyang unit was sent flying by Blackhair’s punch, heading straight toward the approaching warriors. In mid-air, Blackhair’s clenched fist suddenly opened!
“Ability activated, energy level two conversion, infusion!!”
“Disperse!!”
Silently, the remaining sun in the sky suddenly changed, with intense white light bursting from each piece of its armor. From a distance, it resembled a human figure entirely formed of light. Before the Blood Wolf warriors below could react, there was a loud explosion—as the steel structure of the remaining sun instantly shattered into countless egg-sized particles of light, which rushed downward at the Blood Wolf warriors.
“Ding ding ding ding…”
The particles were so dense, like a torrential rain, covering all the Blood Wolf warriors. Though they tried to dodge, they were utterly helpless against such a dense barrage of light. Soon, the sound of metal colliding filled the air, and countless holes appeared on the floor of the mech cabin!! Those were clearly the traces left by the light rain!!
Looking at the once ferocious Blood Wolf warriors, few were still able to stand. Most had been hit by the sudden rain of light and collapsed to the ground. It was only because the black-haired man showed mercy by controlling the intensity of the energy release; otherwise, they would have died on the spot.
Among those still standing was the man who had initially spoken to the black-haired man. He had managed to use a companion beside him to block the light rain earlier. Thus, despite an injury to his left arm, he hadn’t lost his fighting ability. Instead, he took advantage of the black-haired man’s momentary distraction to rush forward. With no hesitation, he swung his three-meter-long two-handed sword downward!!
“Slay!!!”
With a fierce roar, the man suddenly unleashed terrifying killing intent!! His two-handed sword, swung with one hand, emitted blinding light!! The Blood Wolf warriors nearby could clearly see that even the light around him was distorted!!
“Beyond limits!!” Monkey and the others were stunned, their faces turning pale.
Amid their cries of shock, the black-haired man moved in a bizarre manner. It was unclear what he did, but in an instant, he completely dodged the opponent’s sword strike and placed one hand directly on the man’s chest.
Cold words came from beneath his mask.
“You’ve lost…”
“Bang!!” A flash of red light, and the man flew outward like a scarecrow…
