Chapter 51: The Late Viscount, Section 9
It’s no wonder Koko was a bit flustered—after all, having Hei Fa take matters into his own hands was like having insurance for him. After all, Hei Fa was the king of the Blood Wolves, and among their many warriors, his strength was considered the greatest. Even Hei Tong, who came from a background as a killer, couldn’t compare to him. Throughout their long collaboration, as long as Hei Fa was involved, failure was impossible.
To put it mildly, Hei Fa’s combat strength alone was equivalent to that of at least a hundred Blood Wolf warriors. His status as the “Emperor of Killing” was enough to make any formidable enemy back down. Even if this giant ship really came from the Moore Empire, it wouldn’t stand a chance against Hei Fa.
Yet Koko didn’t know that the “Emperor of Killing” no longer existed. Hei Fa had only returned to Death Star not long ago, and the members of Black Prison hadn’t had time to create a new one for him. So until now, Hei Fa still didn’t have any mechs at his disposal.
The atmosphere in the control center was extremely tense, but Hei Fa seemed completely unfazed. He sat leisurely aside, waiting for the shuttle’s arrangements. After a short while, a guard came over and told him that everything was ready. Only then did Hei Fa turn around and smile at Koko.
“Stay here and don’t wander around. I’m going to take a look. Tell those guys below to stay away from me—I don’t want to accidentally erase them.”
“Of course,” Koko nodded firmly, clearly taking Hei Fa’s instructions seriously. As soon as Hei Fa left the room, she immediately relayed his orders.
But the guards nearby weren’t happy about this. Though those guys had been a bit unruly earlier, they were after all mercenaries with high pride. Seeing Hei Fa treat them so dismissively, they could maintain their composure on the surface, but behind their backs, their attitudes were different. As soon as Hei Fa left, one of the guards stepped up to Koko and whispered,
“Leader, who is this guy? Why is he so arrogant? He’s even disrespectful to you. Should we take care of him behind your back? A warship malfunction isn’t a big deal.”
“Dare you!?” Koko was shocked, like a cat with its tail stepped on. “Do you know who he is? How dare you say such things? I want to live, but you don’t. Touch him? How many heads do you have?”
“What? Could he possibly be the king of the Blood Wolves?” The guard clearly disbelieved it, saying it in a joking tone. But when he saw that Keko wasn’t laughing along with them, he sensed something was wrong and awkwardly stopped laughing.
“Listen to me carefully!” Keko said, his expression stern, speaking slowly and deliberately.
“Don’t think just because I pay you on Twin Star that you’re some kind of important figure. Let me tell you the truth—in my eyes, you’re nothing!! Spending millions every year—do you really think I need bodyguards? Ridiculous!! The only reason I chose you is because you’re worthless!!”
His expression grew darker, and his petite frame began to emit an aura. This aura wasn’t the usual arrogance of a president of a business association; instead, it carried a murderous vibe. If anyone had spent time with the Blood Wolf warriors, they would realize how similar Keko’s aura was to theirs—both cold and brutal, as if he might pounce on them at any moment. Under such a terrifying presence, no one even wondered if he truly possessed such strength. Those tall, two-meter-tall men became silent in front of Keko, the petite Ganro man.
In contrast to their fear, Keko now seemed like a giant. Though much shorter than them, he looked down on them with disdainful eyes, as if they were trash.
“Do you know why? Do you know why, despite having the rank of Silver Warriors, you’re still considered worthless in my eyes?”
“The reason is simple. I’ve seen warriors who are a hundred times, even a thousand times stronger than you. Despite your high mercenary ranks, in their eyes, it would take less than a flick of their little finger to defeat you. And if Twin Star relied on you for protection, it would have already been swallowed up by other forces. Otherwise, do you really think those leaders of various factions dare not touch me, and that thousands of merchant ships trade peacefully every day because of your efforts?”
“It’s not us… then what is it…” Under Keko’s increasingly intense pressure, one of the guards finally couldn’t hold back and muttered softly. But when he saw Keko’s gaze, he immediately shut up and became obedient again.
She gave him a disdainful glance, her contempt obvious. People like him could only serve as decorations. True battles couldn’t rely on them. If it weren’t for Black Hair, how could she have achieved what she has today? With that thought, she lost even the interest in getting angry at them. There was nothing to say to a bunch of trash. As he said, she chose them precisely because they were worthless—worthless enough to obey. That was enough. There was no need to explain to worthless people. What if Black Hair got angry? At worst, she could just kill them all and replace them with others. Anyway, slave market prices were dropping; they might even get cheaper.
However, the servants beneath her didn’t know about her thoughts. They had been waiting for their boss to finish yelling so they could relax. But after waiting for a long time, there was no sound from above. One guard dared to look up and found that Koko had already left her original spot and gone over to the large screen. Her small eyes were fixed intently on the new light dot appearing on the screen, showing no sign of paying them any more attention.
That new light dot was a small shuttle. A very ordinary shuttle, clearly cheap. In Gemini, only the lowest-level workers would use such a thing. Its greatest advantage was its low cost—families earning less than one crystal coin a month could afford it. But now, Koko knew who was inside. “Damn it,” she cursed inwardly. She was sure it must be those guards, dissatisfied, who had deliberately arranged this for Black Hair. She only didn’t know if such an arrangement would affect Black Hair’s thoughts.
But no matter how angry he was, it was too late now. Black Hair had already flown halfway there and would soon reach his destination. So, despite her anger, Koko could only watch helplessly. She planned in her mind how to explain things once Black Hair returned. As for those who had tried to pull stunts behind her back, Koko had given up on them. Their names would never appear again on Gemini’s personnel list.
Meanwhile, in the shuttle not far from Gemini, Black Hair was smiling.
“What a bunch of ignorant kids…” Recalling the smug expression on that guard’s face as he arranged the shuttle for him, Black Hair’s lips curled slightly. Had these guys really grown complacent in peaceful times that they dared to be so rude? Though he rarely appeared in Twin Stars, his status here as Koko’s distinguished guest meant they still dared to treat him poorly. If it were someone else, who knows how badly they would be mistreated. But since this was Koko’s personal matter, Black Hair didn’t want to quarrel with a bunch of ignorant kids, so he let them off. Still, he knew that if Koko found out about this, those guys might vanish without a trace.
But now, he had more important things to do…
The shuttle moved at high speed. In less than fifteen minutes, Black Hair could already see that massive Moor giant ship. What caught his eye at the same time were the wounds all over its hull…
“Hm?” Black Hair’s eyes lit up. What was going on? How could a ship be so severely damaged? He could see clearly that many of the wounds were caused by ship cannons, with one particularly deadly one piercing straight through the bridge. Other parts were no better, with huge holes visible everywhere—clearly resulting from damaged armor. A rough estimate showed there were over a thousand such wounds. Such damage could almost be considered a death sentence for the ship.
Yet here it was, truly before him, still sailing albeit barely. Through the shuttle’s window, Black Hair could even see the massive fireballs continuing to erupt.
That Moor giant ship didn’t have much time left. If repairs weren’t carried out immediately, it might collapse in an instant.
With a flash in his eyes, Black Hair hesitated no longer. He immediately steered the shuttle closer. The small shuttle hovered beside the damaged giant ship like a mosquito, and Black Hair stepped out of the cabin right away. The moment he stepped out, a flash of black light appeared, and a layer of red and black armor covered his body.
Yazi…
Yazi, who was barely over three meters tall, appeared pitifully small next to this massive Moorish ship, but Hei Fa’s movements were by no means small. He stretched out his right hand and pressed it directly onto the center of the warship. Black light flashed between his fingers, and with a loud roar, a huge hole with a diameter of over 300 meters was blasted open in the outer wall of the Moorish ship!!! All the shockwaves from the explosion seemed to be pushed by some invisible force; instead of spreading outward, they rushed back like a storm, instantly clearing a long passage behind the hole.
With a slight smirk, Hei Fa rushed in along with those shockwaves. Every muscle in his body trembled at high speed, so fast it was like lightning!! Yazi immediately turned into a long black streak and plunged deep into the heart of the Moorish ship.
Hei Fa knew that if there were any survivors on this warship, it could only be there.
He wanted to see who had brought this ruined Moorish ship right in front of him…
