Chapter 50: Unsealing – Section 3
The moment his fingers touched the control handle, a severe dizziness hit him instantly. Kurokami felt nauseous, and when he opened his eyes again, his entire vision had changed. The once-clear view was replaced by a blood-red hue; everywhere he looked was filled with violent redness. Facing this vision, Kurokami suddenly felt an extreme urge for brutality surge within him.
This was the Killing Emperor—a tyrant whose restraints had been completely lifted.
The red vision wasn’t just a symbol of brutality or a means to stimulate the driver’s senses; it was caused by the massive blood flow in the cells within the machine. Under such conditions, the Killing Emperor’s performance would experience a qualitative leap. Not only its strength, reflexes, mobility, and agility, but even its weapon systems would be enhanced in an instant.
But this lasted only ten minutes.
Ten minutes…
“Enough!!”
With a low roar, Kurokami abruptly pushed the control handle to the bottom. The Killing Emperor let out a deafening roar. The armor on its arms cracked with a sharp sound, revealing bulging muscle tissue. At the same time, its arms suddenly exerted force, lifting the iron block on its head off in one motion. Then, it crouched sharply, inserting its hands into the gap between the massive iron ball and the ground.
“Rise!!”
With Kurokami’s fierce shout, the Killing Emperor let out another thunderous roar. In an instant, the armor on its arms completely shattered, being flung outward like shrapnel by its bulging muscles. In the dark space, its arms turned blood-red, covered in dense veins—resembling those of a demon—shocking the monkeys circling above.
Yet, it was these ugly arms that possessed unimaginable strength. The huge iron ball slowly rose as his roar echoed.
Meanwhile, the size of the Killing Emperor gradually decreased. From a distance, it was now less than half its normal size.
The monkeys above could see clearly that it wasn’t the Killing Emperor’s own problem—it was simply because its opponent was enormous, with an abnormal weight. The Killing Emperor was being pressed down by the opponent’s weight. Yet even so, it still managed to lift the massive object far larger than itself.
Inside the cockpit, the intense panting of the black-haired man could be heard clearly. The increasingly intense signals from the helmet stimulated him, putting his mind under extreme stress, pushing him to the brink of collapse. It was evident that the outbreak of the Killing Emperor exerted tremendous pressure on him. After all, this was not a purely mechanical era—the Killing Emperor also incorporated technologies from the magic civilization. Thus, for the pilot, attempting to unleash its full power was nothing short of gambling, risking his own life.
Yet it was precisely because of this that the Killing Emperor needed a master—a supreme warrior capable of bringing it to its fullest potential. Since the black-haired man had taken on this role, he had to pay the price.
In the square, the massive iron ball slowly rose, eventually lifting off the ground beneath it. Below it stood a blood-red giant, resembling a demon god, with massively swollen muscles revealing its formidable strength. Suddenly, its eyes glowed red, and its arms swung forward.
“Go!”
“Boom!!”
With a deafening roar, the huge iron ball was thrown into the sky. A large amount of soil and debris were lifted, forming a visible ring of dust. At the center of this dust ring, the Killing Emperor suddenly spread its arms wide, standing there in a wide stance.
“Click, click, click…” A series of sharp noises came as its chest, shoulders, and even waist armor unfolded all at once, revealing layers of cannons behind them…
“Head, are you crazy!?”
The monkey in the sky was terrified and immediately stopped watching, frantically operating hiswaning sun
waning sun (can also be translated as “waning sun” or “setting sun” depending on context) to flee into the distance.
No way—those were the Killing Emperor’s built-in weapon systems. In terms of power, they were likely even more terrifying than the Blood Moon’s heavy sniper guns. Those numerous cannons had been designed from the start as close-combat weapons. So although they fell under the category of firearms, precision wasn’t a concern at all—only maximum destructive power mattered.
Within a few hundred meters, the Killing Emperor’s built-in weapon systems could rival the combined power of over thirty Blood Moon units!!
But even though the monkey reacted quickly, he wasn’t fast enough to escape. Almost as soon as hiswaning sun
waning sun (can also be translated as “waning sun” or “setting sun” depending on context) turned direction, the Killing Emperor’s attack had already begun.
In an instant, a red glow flashed in front of it, and countless high-temperature jets as thick as fists shot out like a storm, covering every inch of space ahead. All soil, rocks, and even air were crushed to dust in an instant. These violent jets converged into a red energy stream as thick as a bucket, which slammed hard into the large iron ball in the air.
“Boom!!”
With a thunderous noise, the monkey, which had run less than 500 meters, felt as if it had been pushed hard by an invisible giant hand. Its mech lost control and staggered off course. By now, the battlefield was in complete chaos. Thick clouds of dust even rose straight from the ground into the air.
“Huh… I’m dead now, right?”
Inside the cockpit, the black-haired man was drenched in sweat as he stared intently at the shadow in the sky. Due to the extreme violence of the previous attack, visibility was extremely poor. Even his Killing Emperor ability couldn’t accurately assess the surroundings. His vision was completely blank—nothing could be seen except for the faint shadow of the large iron ball.
Yet still, the black-haired man was confident in his attack. He believed that no matter what that large iron ball was, it was doomed this time. One hundred and twenty high-temperature particle jets—even a Moore warship couldn’t withstand them. This was the Killing Emperor’s most powerful close-range attack. And with that iron ball thrown into the air, it had no chance to dodge at all. It would definitely take a direct hit and remain unscathed.
Unless…
Staring at that blurred shadow, the black-haired man shook his head firmly.
There was no “unless.” Anyway, the opponent was dead. All he needed to do now was wait for the result.
“Boom!” The large iron ball finally fell from the sky, causing the ground to tremble again. A visible wave of mud and debris emerged from beneath it and spread rapidly. The black-haired Killing Emperor staggered and barely pulled his lower body out of the ground before slowly walking toward where the iron ball had fallen.
The dust was dissipating quickly. The huge silhouette of the iron ball reappeared before the black-haired man’s eyes…
“This is…”
It was as if he were witnessing the most incredible sight in the world. The black-haired man’s eyes widened in shock.
In front of him, the large iron ball wasn’t as severely damaged as he had imagined. It remained intact. Although its surface was covered in scratches, there were no signs of deep internal damage. Even the heavy iron piece that had separated from it still hung nearby.
How was this possible?
In an instant, Kurokami could hardly believe his own eyes. That had been his strongest attack just now, yet the opponent had withstood it completely. How could this be the result? Just a slight scratch? This simply made no sense!!
But facts were facts. Even if Kurokami didn’t believe it, it had indeed happened right before his eyes. And as Kurokami approached the opponent, the giant iron ball reacted once again. But this time, it wasn’t that terrifying particle beam… Instead, it was a crack that penetrated deep into its interior. This crack appeared right at the center of the giant iron ball—initially just a small dot, but it quickly spread and rapidly covered the entire body. In just a moment, it reached every inch of its surface. Then, right before Kurokami’s eyes, the surface of the giant iron ball began to peel off, piece by piece, like the shell of a cracked egg, revealing a red glow inside.
“That’s impossible!!”
The monkey, who was also watching this scene in the air, suddenly shouted. His face showed the same disbelief as Kurokami’s. Because before their eyes, that red glow was actually… a mech!!! A red mech only three meters tall, yet extremely intricate!!
What was going on here? Could it be that what had fought against them just now was merely the outer shell of this mech? That powerful giant iron ball, which had forced Kurokami to use his ultimate move, was just a part of this mech? Then, just how powerful could this mech be?
In an instant, both Kurokami and the monkey thought of this crucial question, feeling a sense of dread in their hearts.
At that very moment, the mech’s eyes emitted a faint glow. At the same time, both Kurokami and the monkey heard an unknown voice in their communicators.
“Target’s combat strength confirmed: two-star. Outer shell cannot withstand further damage—abandon it. Activate self-defense mode; allow free counterattacks. Execute standard: Ya Zi Level 1.”
“Wait!! That’s Chinese!!” Hearing this sudden voice, Kurokami and the monkey were both shocked and exclaimed in alarm.
But there seemed to be no time for them to understand anything further. Because the mech on the other side finally started moving. With just one movement, it disappeared from among the fragments of the giant iron ball and reappeared behind the Killing Emperor. At only three meters tall, it appeared like a child compared to the Killing Emperor.
“So fast!! How did it do that?” Black Hair was shocked and reacted immediately. But it was already too late. The Killing Emperor was after all a mech; even though Black Hair could control it skillfully, his reaction speed couldn’t compare to the enemy’s agile movements that were too fast to even track with the eye.
The next moment, a fist three times the size of an adult’s gently landed on the Killing Emperor’s lower back.
“Boom!!!” Amidst a violent explosion, the Killing Emperor was split in two…
