Chapter 33: The Best Hitman of This Century, Section 8
Hei Fa is a very practical and efficiency-oriented person. This is clearly evident in his actions. For example, in battle, if the first strike can solve the problem, he will never wait for a second strike. Nor will he, like the villains in movies, use long speeches to show off his ignorance.
This habit makes his gaze always fall on the enemy’s neck. Isn’t that so? What could be more suitable for a one-shot kill than the enemy’s neck? Inside that narrow neck lie almost all of a creature’s weaknesses—the trachea, arteries, spine, and even the nerve center—with little protection. All one needs to do is place a hand on it and squeeze gently.
“Crack.”
And the enemy becomes like the person at his feet.
Hei Fa coldly stared at Mordo before him, watching the complex emotions in his eyes—disbelief, anger, sorrow, despair, reluctance, and more. Then Mordo slowly collapsed and fell, eventually turning into a pile of mess at his feet. His neck was twisted in a strange way, with his head hanging crookedly to one side. It looked so grotesque it gave people chills.
Without any pity, Hei Fa, who had personally broken Mordo’s neck, didn’t even blink. He simply clapped his hands lightly, as if it were something unimportant, then glanced indifferently at the remaining Moors.
Perhaps because his actions were too shocking, those who were clearly guards still hadn’t reacted. They stood there dumbfounded, just like all the other spectators, staring at Governor Mordo on the ground with expressions of utter disbelief. Their bodies were stiff as puppets.
But their stupor didn’t mean the Blood Wolf Pirates shared their feelings. Among those who followed Hei Fa this time were quite a few of the little girls from Loli, along with two handsome young boys with fair skin that resembled dolls.
But compared to their appearance, their actions were rather terrifying. The three cute girls simultaneously lifted their princess dresses. With a stretch of their hands—how they managed it was unclear—they held a two-meter-long rocket launcher in their hands. With sweet smiles on their lovely faces, they skillfully loaded the launcher and slung it over their shoulders before hesitantly pulling the trigger.
“Boom!!” A massive explosion came from behind the black-haired man. Three rockets emitting white smoke were instantly fired from his shoulders, ruthlessly plunging into the crowd. By God, the Blood Wolf pirates never imagined those little girls could be so violent. Those three rockets were clearly specially enhanced, with terrifyingly powerful explosions. Each rocket created a small mushroom cloud, and the explosion even generated sharp shockwaves that sent several of the Blood Wolf warriors at the front staggering and reeling.
Damn it, they were standing on the periphery—yet they were still affected by the explosion waves. What about the Moors who were the actual targets? Amid the smoke and dust, the Blood Wolf warriors were filled with rage. They turned around to scold them but found themselves next to those little girls. The two Li Cha boys had just finished assembling the devices in their hands and stood up.
Oh, God!! What is that in your hands?
In an instant, the pupils of the Blood Wolf pirates widened in shock; they couldn’t believe their eyes. Without even a moment’s hesitation, they all lay down in unison. The crowd, once as solid as iron towers, collapsed like cut wheat.
It wasn’t that they were cowardly. It’s just that the devices those two kids had were simply too extreme. Damn, they were using five-barreled grenade launchers!! Enhanced versions from Death Star, claimed to be capable of resisting mechs—heavy weapons for individual use!!
With five launch tubes, allowing continuous firing like a machine gun, and larger calibers, those five-barreled grenade launchers were by no means children’s toys. They were truly deadly weapons. After all, Death Star’s weapons were always designed by the Black Prison gang. Those damned science madmen might not have anything else special about their designs, but when it came to destructive power, they were absolutely top-notch.
Logically, such grenade launchers fell under heavy equipment, weighing 300 kilograms even without ammunition. Even for individual use, it would likely take two strong men to operate them. Yet those two Li Cha boys managed to do it alone. Moreover, they seemed to handle them as easily as if they were just straws.
But compared to their ease, the star station merchants who had been watching were in trouble. After all, unlike ordinary weapons, the damage from grenade launchers was measured on a large scale. And the grenades produced by Death Star used mixed technology—appearing to be real bullets but actually being unstoppable streams of metal after explosion!
Immediately, the roar of grenades replaced the aftermath of the rockets, and the ground beneath their feet trembled violently. Small mushroom clouds emerged one after another, just like mushrooms after rain. In just thirty seconds, all the pirates thought they were in the midst of fierce storms! Even though they tried their best to lie flat on the ground, the terrifying shockwaves still made their hair stand on end, as if they might die at any moment.
Thirty seconds passed in an instant. The grenade launchers spun a few times before finally stopping firing. The Blood Wolf Pirates looked again—where was the crowded crowd they had seen before? Within a radius of nearly a thousand meters around them, everything had turned into a depression. All buildings and everything that once existed had vanished without a trace. There were no corpses, no blood—everything had been vaporized. Apart from their group, there was no one else in that area.
Swallowing hard, the pirates’ gazes toward those little ones changed.
Damn it, why didn’t I bring them along? These little guys might seem cute, but they’re all destruction experts. It’s strange how such small beings can possess such immense strength. Even the best among the Blood Wolf Pirates probably can’t handle that kind of heavy equipment single-handedly.
This is where the Blood Wolf Pirates were a bit outdated. Of course, they never realized that this was actually a consequence of the decision Black Hair made last time—namely, that medical examination.
For members of the five major families to enter Death Star, Black Hair required them to undergo a medical examination. The purpose of this examination was to implant cells from the Wandering Clan into their bodies so as to monitor and control them at will. Of course, perhaps even Black Hair himself didn’t realize it, but those Wandering Clan cells, even in small amounts, had their own formidable power.
People with those cells had their potential gradually awakened. The younger they were, the more pronounced the effect. Since the members of the Beth and Richard families were mostly psychologically mature children, they naturally had an advantage. As for the Blood Wolf Pirates, being Black Hair’s long-time followers, they had no issues with loyalty, but they missed out on the chance to have those cells implanted.
This was also Black Hair’s mistake. But after this experience, once they returned to Death Star, the Blood Wolf Pirates surely wouldn’t miss this opportunity. An era of universal medical examinations was about to arrive.
Without caring about the feelings of his comrades, Black Hair stepped lightly and headed straight for the manor ahead—his former home on Moor Planet Station.
The ground still emitted residual heat, and the air was filled with a burnt smell. Through the soles of his shoes, Black Hair could even feel the crystalline sand. It seemed he was moving slowly, but in reality he was moving at an extraordinary speed. Soon, he crossed the estate’s spacious courtyard and arrived at the main gate.
Black Hair knew he didn’t have much time left. Though those little guys were ruthless, they made too much noise. Using heavy firepower would surely draw the attention of the space station authorities. Given the Moors’ efficiency, he might only have five minutes. After that, an overwhelming number of armored vehicles would flood the area. Fortunately, he had prepared in advance; otherwise, things would have been troublesome.
After a moment of contemplation, Black Hair pushed open the door before him without hesitation.
The room was dark; not even the lights in the hallway were on. Yet Little Noby, who had been following Black Hair the whole time, seemed accustomed to it. Instead of going up the stairs as usual, he went to a piece of furniture in the corner. After giving it a few taps, a section of the wall on Black Hair’s left side silently opened, revealing a downward corridor behind it.
“This is a secret passage in the estate, Lord Beck. The leaders are slightly injured. Out of fear of ambushes by their enemies, they hid down here,” Little Noby explained hurriedly upon seeing Black Hair’s puzzled look.
Nodding, Black Hair didn’t ask further questions and quickly stepped down the stairs. After turning a few corners in the corridor, a small room came into view. The room was brightly lit, with dozens of burly men wrapped in bandages lying or sitting there, resting. Upon seeing Black Hair, they were all stunned, their faces filled with disbelief.
“Captain…?!”
“Can you still fight?” Black Hair frowned slightly at the bandages on these men’s bodies but didn’t show any signs of greeting, merely asking calmly.
“Yes!! Captain! We can still fight!” The burly men replied in unison. Though some twisted in pain as they stood up, their enthusiasm was genuine.
For so long, they had stayed here under Black Hair’s orders, never doubting even though rumors abounded outside. Hadn’t they been waiting for this day? They believed their captain would never abandon his subordinates.
Now, they had finally waited… Though covered in wounds, their fervor remained undiminished.
Looking at these wounded subordinates, Black Hair’s gaze finally softened. He nodded slowly and turned to head outside…
“I’m giving you thirty seconds to gather your things; we’re leaving this place right away!”
