Chapter 32: Black Holes, Section 9
The question about the black-haired man remained unanswered. For at that very moment, something unexpected happened!!
A giant building standing beside the square, over 200 meters tall, suddenly emitted a clear sound of cracking. Soon after, a violent explosion occurred. In an instant, countless pieces of metal rained down from the sky, as dense as a storm. The flying rebar resembled bullets, screaming loudly as they cut through the air. Almost instantly, the entire square was covered by debris from the explosion.
The ground shook, rocks and debris flew through the sky, and chaos ensued in the square! Under everyone’s eyes, the giant building began to collapse slowly! Before anyone could recover from the shock, three massive black shadows, resembling ancient giants, rushed out of the smoke and dust, heading straight for where the black-haired man was.
The shadows were so huge that even from a distance, people could clearly estimate their height. Normally, the Han people’s average height of over three meters was already considered very tall, but in comparison to these three suddenly appearing shadows, they seemed like children. The guard troops closest to the edge were almost instantly overwhelmed. Amidst the violent shaking of the ground, those three shadows had already rushed into the square!
Steel giants!!
The black-haired man’s mouth hung slightly open, his face expressing utter astonishment. Although there was still some distance, his extraordinary vision allowed him to clearly see the true nature of those shadows.
They were three steel giants, each over 15 meters tall, thick and heavy. Unlike the mechs he was used to, these three giants appeared extremely rough. Their bodies were massive, with arms and legs like thick cylinders, clearly not following the golden ratio of mechs. They seemed like the most primitive prototypes. Yet, thanks to their powerful engines, their destructive power was no less. In just a few breaths’ time, they had broken through all defenses and were now less than 100 meters away from the black-haired man.
“Be careful!! Protect the guest!!” Jie’s voice came through his ears. The black-haired man noticed that at this critical moment, this burly Han leader no longer showed any trace of gentleness. His muscular body tensed, veins bulging on his two heads. His fierce expression resembled that of a fierce ghost!
Different from the leaders he had met before with black hair. Jie’s behavior at this moment was more that of a warrior than a leader. He suddenly threw aside his cloak, snatched a giant rocket launcher from one of his guards, and stepped forward to block Black Hair’s path. At the same time, his guards also moved swiftly, forming a protective circle around Black Hair and the others with precise, well-trained movements. Their massive frames acted like solid walls, giving a strong sense of security.
However, no matter how strong a warrior is, they are still made of flesh and blood. Even through the ground vibrations, Black Hair could tell that those three dark figures were not something that could be matched with mere human strength. Mechs are mechs—no matter how primitive—they possess power far beyond human limits!!
A dense hail of bullets struck those three steel giants, sparking countless sparks, but only left minor scratches. Although Black Hair didn’t understand why this self-proclaimed leader Jie was so different from the leaders he had seen before, he had no time to ponder further. In an instant, a small object the size of a watch appeared in his hand, traced a graceful arc through the sky, and landed on the open ground in front of Jie.
“What’s that!?” His eyes widened in shock. Before Jie could react, another enormous dark figure appeared before him with a loud thud. Then he saw that mysterious black-haired guest climb up to the giant figure’s waist like a ghost in just a few flashes. Immediately afterward, the giant figure’s eyes flashed red, emitting a deafening roar!!
It was shocking—absolutely shocking. Jie swore he had never seen such a terrifying humanoid in his life. Although this newly appeared figure was much shorter than the steel giants, at only eight meters tall, both its appearance and its imposing aura were on a completely different level. In particular, its head featured two long, sharp spikes extending backward from its forehead, as sharp as blades—resembling… the horns of a demon.
Bangs and booms continued incessantly. Before the Han clan members present could recover from the shock of the Killing Emperor, several more massive humanoids appeared within their encirclement. Their fierce appearance and modern-looking devices filled all the Han clan members with utter terror.
They had no idea where these giant humanoids came from. From start to finish, they hadn’t seen these guests carry in such huge objects. Could these humanoids have appeared out of thin air?
Mechs obviously can’t appear out of thin air. But as the only faction within human territory to have popularized subspace devices, the Blood Wolves no longer needed massive warehouses to store their mechs. Every Blood Wolf fighter carried a watch-like device, within which their beloved mechs were quietly stored. When needed, even for just a few seconds, these pure killing machines would ignite their owners’ desire to fight.
It was the same now.
The massive steel feet pounded loudly on the ground. The sudden appearance of the Killing Emperor took those three charging steel giants by surprise, causing even the slightest hesitation in their charge.
With a harsh hissing sound, a large amount of white mist appeared around the Killing Emperor’s ankles. The freezing cold was unbearable even for the Han tribe members with their thick fur. The nearest guards shuddered. In the blink of an eye, the Killing Emperor had charged at those three enormous steel giants.
Numerous sparks flew as the Killing Emperor’s ankles rubbed against the ground, splashing like a waterfall. In an instant, a dazzling arc of sparks resembled a suddenly appearing rainbow, lighting up everyone’s pupils. The Han tribe leader, Jie Zhang, stared in shock as the Killing Emperor rushed into those three steel giants like a whirlwind.
First, with a merciless spin, the Killing Emperor ignored the huge size difference between them. His right hand swung fiercely at the head of the lead steel giant during the rapid rotation. The high speed granted it unparalleled strength. That poor steel giant couldn’t even hold out for a moment before being crushed to the ground by this formidable force. Its forward momentum left a long trench in the ground.
With a loud bang, the shotgun in the Killing Emperor’s hand fired countless pellets. Amid the flying debris, the steel giant’s head shattered like a watermelon. Its massive body struggled a few times before lying motionless. By then, the Killing Emperor had already left it behind and rushed between the two remaining steel giants. He split his hands and pressed each one against the chest of the other.
In the eyes of those present, a stunning scene unfolded instantly. The two enormous steel humanoid figures, clearly twice the size of the Killing Emperor, seemed to hit an impenetrable wall when pressed against his palms—their forward momentum instantly rebounding, sending them flying backward. Their rigid exteriors scraped violently against the rocks on the ground, sparking in succession.
What kind of power was this!?
All the Han clan members stared in awe at that demon-like figure. Though not large in size, it possessed terrifying strength beyond its appearance. Those demonic palms seemed to have an endless gravitational pull, capturing everyone’s attention.
Hei Fa, however, was unaware of the Han clan members’ thoughts. He was immersed in the unparalleled pleasure brought by the new Killing Emperor. The overwhelming sense of power intoxicated even him, who was already accustomed to mech battles. Undoubtedly, with the enhanced cells from nuclear technology, the Killing Emperor was now more than five times stronger than before—every move he made carried absolute destructive power!!
“It’s truly an intoxicating feeling…” murmuring softly, the Killing Emperor bent down and placed his right hand on one of the steel giant’s ankles. Then, a roar like that of a beast erupted from his mouth!!
Under everyone’s gaze, he simply used one palm to fling the steel giant, twice his size, into the air. The giant’s enormous size seemed to have no effect at all—instead, it provided inertial resistance. The Killing Emperor’s right hand moved swiftly, followed by a series of dull thuds as he swung the ankle and hurled it at another steel giant! The two massive humanoid figures collided violently, sparks flying and debris scattering. Twisted, deformed armor plates were shattered apart. By the time Hei Fa stopped, not a trace of a humanoid remained on the ground—only a pile of distorted steel wreckage, with countless sparks still jumping from it, seemingly bearing witness to their master’s former might.
Seeing this, all the Han clan members fell silent… When they looked at Blood Pupil and the others in the center, their eyes were filled with reverence.
What terrifying power… Who exactly were these mysterious guests? Why did these short-statured beings possess such dreadful strength? Especially those steel humanoid figures that appeared later—though their names were still unknown—every Han clan member could tell they were the guests’ weapons.
A gloomy atmosphere instantly enveloped the entire square. For a moment, there was complete silence.
