Chapter 32: Black Holes, Section 8

Although the Thor Fortress was enormous, it moved with great speed. Surrounded by tens of thousands of Arrow Ships acting as a protective escort, it quickly approached that beautiful blue planet and halted in its outer space. Then, a panel on the fortress’s surface sank, and a small Thunderbolt Assault Ship slowly appeared before the eyes of all the Han people.

The surrounding Arrow Ships instinctively cleared a path for it. Perhaps they too understood the purpose of this Thunderbolt Assault Ship?

After all, the Thor Fortress was simply too large—even in space, it rotated like a planet. Thus, it possessed the same gravitational pull as a planet. Navigating in the vast universe might be manageable, but getting too close to another celestial body would result in disaster. The sturdy fortress would act like a giant meteor falling from the sky, crushing any planet that dared to attract it.

Therefore, if Black Hair wanted to land, the only option was to use small warships. Undoubtedly, compared to regular transport shuttles, a Thunderbolt Assault Ship was far more suitable for this situation.

Though small, the Thunderbolt Assault Ship still amazed everyone. Clearly, the level of civilization of the Blood Wolf forces was astonishing. Especially when Black Hair’s ship flew out, followed by another 300 similar warships, that once-proud voice even became somewhat flattering.

“What a powerful guest,” the commander of the Han fleet thought to himself. Aside from that massive armed planet, they also had such a formidable fleet. Look at those warships, their surfaces reflecting a steel-like gleam—compared to his own simple Arrow Ships, they resembled fully armed generals, majestic and imposing. His Arrow Ships, on the other hand, seemed like beggars, pitiful and awkward.

Had he ever seen a lion among sheep? For some reason, Black Hair gave this commander exactly that impression. Even though he had tens of thousands of ships, when the Blood Wolf’s Thunderbolt Assault Ships appeared before their eyes, almost all of them instinctively retreated.

It was unclear what this commander would think if he learned that such ships were common among the Blood Wolf forces, and that the Thor Fortress itself had even more Blood Moon and Sunset Mechs, along with those so-called invincible Moore Giant Ships. Would this arrogant man kneel and beg for Black Hair’s favor?

Only the devil knows.

The universe was silent. Guided by the Arrow Ship, Kurokami and the others quickly landed on the surface of this planet. It was an extremely vast city. Even when observed with the naked eye from space, traces of this city could be seen. Towering skyscrapers reached into the clouds, with flying vehicles zipping around everywhere. Sparks flew from the entirely steel-made city from time to time. Dirty sewage flowed down the dark streets, and a strong stench filled the air. During the landing, Kurokami even saw robberies and murders taking place in some alleys! Combined with the countless huge neon lights hanging high in the sky, it created a scene that could only exist in movies.

Decadence and chaos. This was a city of sin.

As the Thunderbolt Assault Ship slowly descended above the city, the crowd there became agitated. Kurokami noticed many oddly shaped figures holding weapons, shouting excitedly as they fired at him relentlessly. Their distorted faces resembled those of frenzied drug addicts from ancient Earth.

“What fun creatures. Don’t they know their weapons are useless against us? Oh, just primitive crossbows and gunpowder weapons. These guys are really rude. Maybe I should give them a surprise?” Beside Kurokami, Chokutou also observed the scene below, his face showing excitement. But Kurokami knew that the “surprise” he mentioned was likely some high-energy bomb or a ship cannon. If left unchecked, nothing would be left below in three minutes.

“Stop joking, Chokutou. It’s not funny. Remember, we are guests. We must act as guests until they show hostility. Their city’s law and order have nothing to do with us. I just need to get what I want,” Kurokami said softly, gently shaking the glass in his hand.

“Oh? So what do you want? Just a coordinate?” Chokutou laughed heartily, snatching the glass of red wine from Kurokami’s hand and drinking it all in one gulp.

“That’s just the starting point,” Kurokami said with a lazy smile. “After seeing the appearance of this city, I suddenly changed my mind.”

“This is chaos. A city of sin. Look at the creatures living here. How warlike and vicious they are. I can hardly imagine if their rulers are the same. Whether I could still communicate with them calmly. Of course, I don’t care if they’re warlike; I only want to know one other thing now.”
“What is it?” Blood-Pupil asked in confusion.
“Greed!” The black-haired man narrowed his eyes, a cold glint flashing in them. “I wonder if they’re as greedy as we humans. If so, perhaps I’ll give them a great gift—a gift that will allow them to grow rapidly and become the rulers of the star realms. I think that’s what they want from me as well.”
“You mean weapons and equipment?” Blood-Pupil’s eyes widened. “Why, boss? Can’t you see how violent and warlike this race is? Giving them more powerful arms would just play right into their hands. Even a tamed wolf will bite.”
“That’s exactly the result I want,” the black-haired man said, rubbing his chin with one hand. “But if they want my help, they’ll have to pay a price. A small, small price. As for how much the price compares to the reward, it depends on how smart they are.”
Undoubtedly, the Han people were smart. So when the black-haired man stepped off the Thunderbolt Assault Ship, he was almost shocked by what he saw.
They landed in a huge square in the middle of the city. But even before they landed, the square was already filled with dense crowds of people. Creatures three meters tall, covered in fur, with human-like appearances but two heads, were waving their weapons and shouting loudly. Their formation was orderly, but their twisted faces seemed to be expressing fury.
Without hesitation, Blood-Pupil reached for his waist, ready to launch his mech at once, but the black-haired man stopped him.
“Quiet, Blood-Pupil. They’re welcoming us.”
“Oh, damn gods. Boss, are you feverish? Is this what you call welcoming? Look at their weapons! Damn it, don’t think I don’t recognize gunpowder weapons. Though their appearance is strange, those definitely aren’t flowers!”
“Every race has its own customs, Blood-Pupil. Don’t generalize,” the black-haired man said, shaking his head. He released his hand and stepped down the ladder first. On the square, a group of people was already surrounding a burly man as he walked over.

The giant was extremely tall, two heads taller than the average Han clan member who stood at three meters. His fur-covered body had bulging muscles, giving him an extremely powerful appearance. A long scar ran from his forehead down to his chest. The fur on either side of the scar was raised, adding to his fierce look.

Undoubtedly, this was a leader who had experienced countless battles. Even from dozens of meters away, Hei Fa could smell the strong scent of blood in the air. It was this familiar smell that made him narrow his eyes.

“My name is Hei Fa.”

“My name is Jie! Welcome, noble guest. I’ve already heard about what you’ve gone through. I feel deep sympathy for you. Rest assured, I will give you the greatest help possible. Proven by fire and glory!” The giant laughed heartily, shook off his attendants, and stepped forward with large strides, trying to embrace Hei Fa. But he quickly realized it was an almost impossible idea. He was over four meters tall, while Hei Fa was less than two meters. Standing together, they looked like a giant next to a dwarf—extremely unbalanced.

Yet, this self-proclaimed leader named “Jie” did not dare to ignore the dwarf before him in the slightest.

Through communications with the outer space fleet, he had already known of this guest’s strength. The lightning assault ships that had just landed only confirmed his beliefs. Moreover, he was well aware that outside the planet’s atmosphere, there was also this guest’s massive armed planet.

In an era of advancing technology, military strength was no longer just about physical power. Jie understood that this was an opportunity for him. If seized properly, his clan would make leapfrog progress, and the resource problems that had plagued them for thousands of years would surely be alleviated. In the best case, he could even lead his people to achieve new greatness and venture into the distant stars.

With such thoughts in mind, Jie acted with extraordinary respect toward Hei Fa. To make communication easier for Hei Fa, he even bent down, bringing himself as close as possible to him. From a distance, it looked like a large bear crouching before its master, drawing everyone’s attention.

Of course, Hei Fa also understood very well the psychology of this Han clan leader. So after a brief conversation, his first words were…

“Very well, dear Leader Jie. Before I receive your help, could you tell me? What will I have to pay for it?”
