Chapter 19: Secrets, Section 6
It was once again the mysterious eleventh-layer dirt plaza. But now, beside that giant warship, there was a massive black shadow. Its exaggerated and fluid shape revealed its formidable presence—its huge body resembling that of an ancient demon god. Just by standing there, that shadow almost captured everyone’s attention. Under the mech’s blood-red gaze, people trembled in fear. The might of this demonic machine weighed like a boulder on everyone’s heart, leaving them breathless.
“Emperor”… was merely a nickname. This creation, embodying the efforts of all the prisoners, this greatest demonic machine, actually had a name…
The Butcher Emperor!
Undeniably, even after being imprisoned for endless years, these prisoners still harbored wild obsessions. This could be seen from the names they gave to the demonic machine. At this moment, their hope wasn’t so much to escape this dark prison as to destroy it.
To use unparalleled power and overwhelming strength to bury the entire prison in ruins! To turn the Bone Guards who had oppressed them for countless years into gray dust, scattering it across the scorched and corroded land, causing it to rot and turn into a swamp. Perhaps this was the true desire deep in every prisoner’s heart!
Though this desire seemed utterly unrealistic, none of the prisoners doubted it. Because at this moment, their most powerful demonic machine finally had its technician—a young man filled with his own desire for slaughter.
Black hair.
“Crack!!” Two dark metal plates suddenly dropped from the side of the mech’s ankle, revealing the giant gears inside. Before anyone could react, the mech’s massive body suddenly lowered, and the gears at its ankle emitted a dazzling green light. A shrill screech instantly shocked everyone’s eardrums. The mech rushed forward with incredible speed.
From rest to top speed—it seemed to take just an instant. It was impossible to imagine such extreme velocity; before people could even blink, the mech had covered a distance of twenty zhang, appearing at the end of the plaza. The force of its rapid movement stirred upa large amount of soil and rocks, creating a cloud of dust that exploded outward with a loud roar.
Raise your arm, throw a punch!! With a barely audible soft sound, a panel of armor on the outside of the Killing Emperor’s right hand suddenly rose, revealing a dense array of gun barrels inside. Immediately afterward, his fist plunged fiercely into the cave wall. The hard rock seemed as fragile as rotten soil in the face of his fist. Almost at the same time it hit its target, the newly appeared gun barrels also spewed deadly flames. The terrifying power of the Gauss cannons when detonated at close range was simply a nightmare. With a deafening roar, rocks within nearly ten meters around the Killing Emperor’s right fist exploded violently. Countless pieces of debris flew everywhere. Before everyone’s eyes, a huge crater appeared in that wall—the opening was pitch black, and no one knew how deep it was.
The impact module beneath his feet suddenly flipped, sending bursts of sparks flying everywhere in an instant. Almost as soon as the attack was completed, the Killing Emperor’s massive figure suddenly began retreating at high speed. His huge body displayed an unexpected agility, as if he were a dancing spirit, moving with astonishing flexibility. His upper body tilted backward, and the gun barrels on his shoulders extended forward simultaneously. With a slight crackling sound, they snapped into place in the grooves on his shoulders. Immediately afterward, white light flashed, and countless tiny, sharp, spear-shaped light points erupted from the gun barrels like a storm, slamming into the newly formed crater. Roaring noises rang out like beans being smashed. Large chunks of rock were ripped off the wall and instantly torn to pieces by the torrent of light!!
Powerful, incredibly powerful.
Although they had long known of the Killing Emperor’s strength, none of them had witnessed such a shocking display. The entire square fell silent. All the prisoners were stunned, standing there like wooden statues.
But the black-haired man’s performance wasn’t over yet. In just that short time, his fingers swiped across the control panel nearly ten times, while the mental control center in his head also issued countless commands. Under this dual control, the Killing Emperor moved with the agility of a real person—retreating rapidly while delivering a series of combined punches with both hands. His huge upper body swayed from side to side with each punch, seemingly on the verge of losing balance yet miraculously maintaining basic stability. His furious speed quickly pushed him to the end of the square. Suddenly…
The red gaze of the demon machine blazed forth. A cloud of blood-red smoke exploded violently, instantly covering an area of dozens of meters. The Killing Emperor’s massive figure had vanished without a trace.
“That’s impossible!?” Everyone exclaimed in shock, their faces turning pale.
“A subspace jump!!!”
“Bang!!” A loud explosion!!
Above the square, the figure of the Killing Emperor appeared clearly. Like an ancient demon god, he reigned over the land. His blood-red cloak fluttered in the wind, and his immense presence enveloped the entire space. Slowly descending, he spread his two giant arms as if embracing something. That disdainful authority deeply implanted itself in everyone’s hearts. For a moment, many prisoners burst into tears and slowly knelt down…
“The Emperor is invincible!”
“The Emperor is invincible!!!”
Cries of grief echoed, yet people’s faces showed only joy. Although they had known of the Killing Emperor’s power since its design, they never expected that the young man with black hair, who was piloting it for the first time, could achieve such feats. His agile movements, fierce attacks, and almost innate intuition won him the recognition of all the prisoners!! Just as Leader Madaro had said…
Who deserves my demon machine!?
Who deserves my emperor!?
Only the one with black hair!!!
Inspired by these emotions, the prisoners moved with remarkable speed. Through various channels they had established over time, they quickly made contact with other levels of the Black Prison and found out where the black-haired man’s subordinates were imprisoned.
These prisoners were truly remarkable. After years of effort, they had managed to build a sophisticated and vast underground world right under the guards’ noses, using nothing but their intelligence. This wasn’t referring to the underground caves they dug, but rather an intricate intelligence network spread across all levels of the Black Prison, with clear hierarchies!!
This network involved thousands of people from top to bottom. The prisoners held various ranks, covering almost the entire Black Prison. It wasn’t an exaggeration to say that if Madaro wanted to know what color underwear the warden was wearing that day, his subordinates could tell him immediately—by the time the information reached him, the warden might not even have fastened his pants belt.
What is efficiency? This is efficiency!!
Yet even with such a sophisticated intelligence network, Madaro was still stunned when he learned about the situation of the black-haired man’s subordinates.
“The ninth level? Those guys are locked up in the ninth level!?”
“Are you kidding me? They’re just a bunch of violent criminals—how could they be locked up in such a deep level? Have those Bone Guards lost their minds? Don’t they know that the ninth level is the one right after this one, meant only for the most dangerous prisoners?” Madaro’s voice rose sharply, filled with disbelief.
In front of him stood a thin young man, standing respectfully, his face pale as paper from never seeing the sun.
“That’s right, leader. They’re locked up in the ninth level. The location has been determined—it’s in the western area. There are 267 of them, all strong and muscular men. According to my subordinates, some of these guys used to be notorious pirates. Who would have thought they’d end up in Black Prison?”
“Pirates!? What a joke. Since when does Black Prison handle tasks for the Interstellar Fleet? Tell me, what crimes do these guys have?” Madaro sneered dismissively, but then suddenly realized he still didn’t know why that dark-haired man had been captured. He hurriedly asked further.
“They…” The young subordinate widened his eyes in disbelief. “Their crime is prison robbery…”
“Pfft…” Water droplets appeared instantly on the transparent glass of the life support device. Hearing this news, Madaro spat out the water he had just drunk.
“Are you kidding me!? Prison robbery? Robbing Black Prison?”
“There’s no mistake, leader. This information came from the boys who serve the Bone Guards. It seems these guys have incredible combat skills. They operate modified mechs, all red in color with a wolf head symbol. They fight in an organized manner with high efficiency. From drop attacks to surprise assaults, they wiped out 763 Level 5 guards and 340 Level 4 guards. Their overall strength is extremely high, far surpassing any organization outside.” The young man continued calmly, as if unaware of his leader’s shock.
“So powerful!? No wonder… no wonder…” Madaro was filled with awe. He finally understood why these guys were locked up in such a deep level. He also suddenly thought about the strength of that dark-haired man as their leader.
It seems this young man came with a purpose… Prison robbery, huh. Regardless of anything else, he’s really bold. But what else in Black Prison could he possibly desire?
Could it be his own armed men!?
After thinking for a moment, Madaro dismissed that idea himself.
Impossible. Their own weapons were developed for escape. Though far surpassing the research achievements of the outside world, absolutely no information will ever leak out. In fact, Black Prison is isolated from the outside world. Not to mention him, even Bone Guard needs the warden’s approval to send any messages.
So, it’s better to talk to that dark-haired person. After all, only seamless cooperation can be perfect. Madaro certainly doesn’t want his carefully planned escape attempt to turn into a disaster.
With that thought, he turned around and walked toward the giant magic machine behind him…
