Chapter 1: Leaving Liwen Star (Part 1)
Guo Shier said, “Since you want to give it to us, we won’t be polite. But… definitely don’t treat us half-heartedly. We just want good stuff—uh, preferably more exotic items… I heard there’s a warehouse here. Let’s go check it out first.”
Sheyajita, Sheyabana, and Burubugun paled instantly. It seemed they had to accept the other party’s terms. If Guo Shier and his group agreed, the people from Tieronger wouldn’t die—instead, it would be those three. Yet none of them dared object, as they lacked the strength and ability to resist.
Of course, neither Guo Shier nor Li Ran cared about Sheyajita and the others’ feelings. They weren’t friends nor in a cooperative relationship—they were merely unthreatening enemies, and there was no need to be polite with enemies.
Tieronger didn’t dare nor could he refuse. He said, “Anything we have… we’ll give it!” At that moment, he was clear-headed and relieved, as the other side was still willing to negotiate. If they had refused and simply killed them all, everything in this villa would have been theirs to take, requiring only a little time.
He said, “I’ll lead the way to the warehouse.”
Guo Shier nodded. “Lead the way. The rest can disperse! Uh, you two follow—Skinny Bamboo and Big Head!”
Skinny Bamboo and Big Head followed silently. They felt frustrated too; after being beaten by Guo Shier, they realized how powerful he was, so they didn’t dare play any tricks and could only follow obediently, filled with extreme fear of these people. They weren’t the strongest in their clan, but they were highly skilled figures with significant status. They never expected the gap between them and Guo Shier’s group to be so vast.
The warehouse was essentially just an exhibition room. Fortunately, it was in a building at the back—the front buildings had been largely destroyed. Everyone followed Tieronger inside.
Guo Shier smiled at Sheyajita and Sheyabana and said, “This is what a true Secret Clan should look like. Your clan is much too stingy. Hiding the warehouse in a secret place—what’s the use? Hehe.”
Sheyajita and Sheyabana looked bitter. Only then did Tieronger realize these two had also been robbed. He glanced at them quietly, vowing in his heart that even if he was robbed this time, as long as he survived, he would definitely avenge his clan. These minor Secret Clan members dared to mess with his family—truly reckless.
Tie Rong’er said, “Everything is here; take whatever you want!” He seemed very generous. Since he had no choice but to be generous, and he was wise enough to realize he couldn’t keep it anyway, he thought it best to let them take it if they wanted it.
Guo Shier and the others were not polite at all and quickly swept through everything. There were indeed some rather strange materials here, and their uses were unknown before testing, but Guo Shier and the others were very interested because as long as they matched the characteristics of spells, such materials would always be useful. The materials in this world were diverse and chaotic, with many valuable items, but due to its vast size, they were scattered and required effort to discover and collect.
Overall, there were far more materials in the larger world than in the Spell World, where materials were relatively concentrated and mostly combined with spells. Here, however, they needed to conduct tests and search carefully, so it wasn’t as convenient as in the Spell World.
Here, they collected some metals and a certain type of bone, along with some strange wooden blocks and crystals resembling jewels. Qi Wu Zhen even obtained a wisp of flame sealed in a cylinder. Miraculously, this wisp of flame had no temperature and couldn’t burn anything, yet it was indeed a flame—enduring and incredibly strange.
Tie Rong’er looked grim. That wisp of flame belonged to a senior in their clan, but he couldn’t stop them and could only watch helplessly as Qi Wu Zhen cheerfully took it.
As for spiritual jade and blue crystals, there were plenty of them, and everyone wasn’t very interested. They were simply divided among them, with Tie Rong’er, Slim Bamboo, and Big Head also getting a share. According to Guo Shier, anyone who saw them could have some. He said, “Slim Bamboo, Big Head, and you too… Tie Rong’er, here’s your share. Well, you can tell your clan that we stole it, haha!”
As the saying goes, wealth tempts people. Not only was Tie Rong’er tempted, but Slim Bamboo and Big Head were too. They both knew they bore significant responsibility for having their warehouse robbed. It was almost certain that even if they weren’t severely punished, they would never be given important roles again and might be completely marginalized. Where would they find money then?
Slim Bamboo and Big Head were still okay—they had some combat skills and weren’t afraid to go anywhere. But Tie Rong’er was in a terrible situation; he relied on his clan for identity and wealth. If abandoned by his clan, he would be completely ruined. If he could get a large sum of money, things might be a bit better for him in the future.
The thought flashed through their minds, and the three immediately realized it was an opportunity. Yet Tielonger was cunning, as Sheyajita and the others were present. He said, “Thank you!” Neither accepting nor refusing, he had already made up his mind that the wealth would be divided among the three of them.
What Guo Shier gave them was no small amount—two boxes of spirit jade worth over a hundred pieces, plus ten boxes of blue crystals, which were hard currency in any country.
Sheyajita, Sheyabana, and Burubugong felt an utterly absurd sense: after robbing them, they were still made to say thank you. This world was simply insane.
Guo Shier almost laughed. He replied seriously, “You’re welcome!”
Sericeline burst into laughter, Monier giggled as well, and Li Ran shook his head slightly with a smile on his face. It was indeed ridiculous—when had the relationship between robbers and victims become so harmonious?
Tielonger’s face turned red, and Shouzhugan and Datou also felt embarrassed, but none of the three spoke, pretending not to hear anything.
Li Ran said, “Let’s go.”
At that moment, intense gunfire suddenly erupted outside. A powerful attack had reached them in an instant. Since all the buildings here were made of wood, they collapsed almost as soon as the attack arrived. Li Ran and the others were flung into the air, only to see dozens of soldiers in Star Armor charging in from outside the villa.
Tielonger trembled with rage. He shouted, “Kill them! Kill them!” He could tolerate Guo Shier and the others’ robbery and killing, but he couldn’t stand the attack from those deserters.
When the deserters spotted Li Ran and the others, chaos ensued. Through the communication system of Star Armor, all the deserters knew not to provoke these few people.
Shouzhugan and Datou rushed forward immediately. Though they weren’t a match for Guo Shier, that didn’t mean they were weak. Killing dozens of soldiers in Star Armor was easy for them, especially since they carried weapons specifically designed to counter Star Armor, making them even more ruthless.
As soon as those deserters saw Li Ran and the others, they fled outward. A few who were slower to react fell behind and were mercilessly slaughtered by Shouzhugan and Datou. Having suppressed their anger for so long and finally finding an outlet, they unleashed their most fierce attacks, sending the deserters into utter panic.
Those who could fly in the air without wearing armor were elite beings on any planet. Realizing they had caused a huge problem, the deserters scurried away, desperately trying to escape.
Li Ran and the others ignored everything and immediately formed a Five-Star Formation, teleporting away in an instant. As for Sheyajita, Sheyabana, and Burubugun, they paid no further attention to them. Sheyajita and Sheyabana exchanged a glance; understanding each other instantly, they rushed after them at full speed. Burubugun, of course, didn’t stay behind either—he chased after them as well. Tiereonger was furious, stomping his feet. He had long realized that these three were not part of Guo Shier’s group. He wanted to keep them, but Shouzhugan and Daitou were still pursuing the retreating soldiers, and no one else could match them. He spat angrily, “You’re fast, I’ll give you that! The Sheya family dares to rob us? Hmph, just wait and see!” He didn’t even feel hatred toward Guo Shier’s group—those who were too powerful left him at a loss as to how to retaliate. As for what to do with them, it would have to be decided by the family. Anyway, he definitely didn’t want to face them again. Li Ran and the others flew toward Deer City, and in just a few moments, they returned there. By now, Deer City was even more chaotic—plagues of burning, killing, and looting went on without end. Thick smoke filled the air, explosions roared everywhere, and trails of light remained from gunfire. The ground was littered with corpses and crashed flying vehicles. When Li Ran and the others landed, Guo Shier said, “We can’t stay here long. What should we do?” Qi Wuzhen suggested, “How about finding a place to rest for a while? Once things calm down a bit, we can decide whether to leave or stay.” Kumu said, “It’s best to leave this planet.” Li Ran thought for a moment and said, “Now isn’t the right time to leave. Once we enter space, we’ll have to face countless starships. Even the nearest planet would take a long time to reach by flying. It would be best to have a starship to take us a distance…” Guo Shier replied, “That’s impossible. This place is completely blocked off. Hehe, want to steal another starship?” Wang Dayang said, “Even if we steal one, it will become a target, and all the other starships will attack us.” The group stood on the street, discussing freely as if no one else was around, with no one daring to approach. Their appearance was very unusual, starkly different from the locals. The retreating soldiers already knew who they were, so no one dared to provoke them. By then, Sheyajita, Sheyabana, and Burubugun finally caught up. They didn’t know why, but they instinctively felt that following these people was the only way to stay alive for now. Seeing the three approaching, Guo Shier frowned slightly and said, “You don’t need to follow us. Decide for yourselves where to go.”
Sheyabana gave a bitter smile and said, “We have no place to go either. Can we follow you for now? We’re quite familiar with this area… Consider us guides.”
Sheyajita also said, “I can get all kinds of information…” He pointed at the sky and added, “I have ways of obtaining information from up there as well.”
