Chapter 6: Separation (Part 2)
Upon landing in the backyard of the shop, they saw Wang Keer standing there, fuming with anger.
Eagle Demon laughed and said, “Wang Keer, do you still want to fight Guo Shier?”
Wang Keer snapped, “Who wants to fight that scoundrel! Hmph, what kind of skill is it to bully women?”
Guo Shier was speechless. It seemed he hadn’t been the one to propose the fight, yet now she acted as if she’d been wronged. He sighed and said, “What if I lose? What kind of skill is it to bully men? Ha…” He couldn’t help but sneer.
Wang Keer gritted her teeth inwardly. Yet she had to admit that a professional with a three-tier altar could defeat her without her even having a chance to fight back. Not only did she not gain any advantage, but she also suffered a slight loss—something she found unbelievable.
Luo Zhan and Nan You were amused by Guo Shier’s words. They found an open spot to sit down. Luo Zhan said, “Shier, take a break. Fighting occasionally is good for both physical and mental health.”
Wang Keer stomped her foot, rushed into the room, and refused to come out again.
Guo Shier smiled slightly. Having won, he was in a good mood and didn’t care to argue. If he could curb Wang Keer’s arrogance, the team would be more peaceful. He knew well that once Qi Wuzhen left, Halechi and Wang Keer would leave too.
With Qi Wuzhen’s help, Guo Shier was confident in finding his way home. Plus, Halechi had given him a large cross-dimensional talisman, which gave him even more confidence. As long as he could find the territories of the four ancient clans, he could return home smoothly. With his three-tier solid altar strength, he was already strong enough to make the Gu Xilong clan submit.
Guo Shier and Eagle Demon also sat down. Eagle Demon sighed, “If Shier had Sister Zhen’s skills, we would have gone home long ago.”
Luo Zhan laughed, “The eagle is dreaming again.”
Guo Shier said, “Someday, we will reach that level!” He was very confident. Although he only had a three-tier altar, he was above those with lower-tier altars but below those with higher ones.
Eagle Demon said, “I believe it!” He had followed Guo Shier since he was a great talisman martial artist. Luo Zhan had followed him even earlier. After all these years, he knew how formidable this guy was.
Luo Zhan laughed, “Fortunately, I stubbornly followed him. Otherwise, I would never have reached the virtual altar level. Heh, I was really wise back then.” He couldn’t help but praise himself.
Nan You pulled a sad face and said, “It’s a pity I can’t go back.” He still didn’t know that the Gu Nan clan had lost countless altar-level experts. Even if he returned, no one would hold him accountable, and he would instead become a key focus for the clan’s cultivation.
……
For over a dozen days in a row, apart from reciting scriptures in Qi Wu Zhen’s room, Guo Shier spent most of his time wandering around the city, purchasing some local specialty products. The area was known for several very special fruits with excellent flavors, as well as some good seasonings. He not only collected these finished products but also plant seeds.
One day, Qi Wu Zhen came out and said, “Let’s leave here.”
Halechi acted like a superior figure—he appeared rarely and spoke seldom, but for some reason, he kept following the group and refused to leave. Sometimes Guo Shier felt like this guy was a ghost, a master of the eighth-tier altar with no sense of presence at all.
Qi Wu Zhen simply tore open a space in the courtyard and led everyone away.
For half a year, they kept traveling across continents and secret realms. When they got tired, they would find a city or simply stay in the wild to rest. During this time, Nan You and Luo Zhan both advanced to the first-tier altar, while Ying Mo also reached the peak of the first-tier altar and was ready to advance to the second tier.
Guo Shier was also on the verge of advancing, but he wasn’t in a hurry. Having advanced too quickly before, he needed time to stabilize. As for the sacrificial treasures, it was the old man Shuai who handled their refinement. Out of fear of Qi Wu Zhen, the old man Shuai rarely showed up and stayed hidden inside the altar, working hard.
Finally, one day, Guo Shier noticed a change in the coordinates inside the Great Cross-Realm Talisman. The Great Cross-Realm Talisman was completely different from ordinary cross-realm talismans; all the obtained coordinates could be displayed, and the places they could go would light up.
It was a continent. Although Guo Shier had never been there, the coordinates came from the Gu Dai family, meaning he had returned to the territory of the four ancient families. When he saw a cluster of coordinates light up, Guo Shier exclaimed excitedly, “I’ve found the way!”
Qi Wu Zhen said, “We haven’t reached the coordinate you gave. Are you sure it’s correct?”
Guo Shier checked carefully and said excitedly, “It’s right, right! Hehe, thank you, Sister Zhen!” At that moment, he was truly grateful to Qi Wu Zhen. From the coordinates in the Great Cross-Realm Talisman, they could see how far they had come. The thousands of additional continent and secret realm coordinates were automatically recorded on it. If he used the talisman to travel on his own, it would take at least a few years.
Ying Mo and Luo Zhan both showed extreme joy—they had been away from home for too long.
Qi Wu Zhen said, “Since that’s the case, you can leave. I’ll stay on this continent for a while. Maybe we’ll have the chance to meet again in the future.”
Wang Keer glanced at Guo Shier and said, “I’ll stay too.”
Halechi said little and went straight to Qi Wu Zhen’s side, indicating that he intended to follow her. Qi Wu Zhen frowned slightly but didn’t drive them away. She said, “These are my communication talismans. They can be used to cross realms, but not across large distances—only within a limited area.” She handed several talismans to Guo Shier. Thanks to Guo Shier’s long-term recitation of scriptures, her soul had become completely stable, allowing her to successfully pass this trial. Without those scriptures, she would have either gone mad and died or been overwhelmed by her own powerful soul. It was only after regaining her senses that she realized the immense danger, which was why she went to such lengths to send Guo Shier back. Guo Shier was deeply grateful. He asked, “Sister Zhen, will you go worship the stars once you leave here?” Halechi exclaimed, “Worship the stars!” His gaze fixed on Qi Wu Zhen, filled with intense longing. Qi Wu Zhen snapped, “What are you staring at?” Then she turned to Guo Shier and said, “I will definitely go worship the stars. This world… has already begun to reject me. When you reach my level, you’ll understand. For now… go home.” Halechi pleaded, “Take me with you!” Qi Wu Zhen snapped, “I don’t care if you die!” Halechi opened his mouth but was too stunned to speak; he was completely at Qi Wu Zhen’s mercy. Yet Guo Shier was very grateful to him. Without the large-scale realm-crossing talisman he had given him, even if he returned, he could only try crossing realms little by little, which would exhaust him. Guo Shier asked, “This continent must belong to the Gudai family. How long do you plan to stay here, Sister Zhen?” Qi Wu Zhen replied, “I need to prepare here for a while. If possible, I might stay for a year or two. By then, I should be able to leave and go worship the stars.” Guo Shier said, “Take care, Sister Zhen.” Eagle Demon and the others also stepped forward to say goodbye. Guo Shier smiled and said, “Old Ha, thank you for the large-scale realm-crossing talisman. Wang Keer, girl, goodbye.” Wang Keer retorted angrily, “Never see you again! Hmph! If you haven’t improved by then, get ready to get beaten!” She waved her little fists, looking determined to avenge herself. Guo Shier laughed and said, “Don’t worry, girl. By the time we meet again, you definitely won’t be able to beat me.” For some reason, a sense of sadness arose in his heart. Waving his hand, he activated the large-scale realm-crossing talisman and said, “Let’s go!” Eagle Demon, Luo Zhan, and Nan You followed him through the portal that appeared out of thin air.
Qi Wu Zhen watched expressionlessly as Guo Shier and the others disappeared into the talisman gate, which gradually faded away. She said, “Halechi, you can leave now too.”
Halechi wore a pained expression and said, “I also want to offer sacrifices to the stars… Hehe, take me with you.”
Qi Wu Zhen snapped, “Get lost!”
Wang Keer was more clever. She said, “Sis Zhen, I can help you with chores. There are some things you can leave to me, hehe.” She smiled obsequiously. Following a professional who had surpassed the ninth-tier altar, she could learn a lot, and she didn’t want to miss such a good opportunity.
Qi Wu Zhen thought it made sense—having someone to run errands and serve around would be useful. She said, “Okay, stay then. Halechi, stop following me, or… I’ll kill you!”
Halechi covered his forehead and said, “Do you really hate me that much? It’s so sad…”
Wang Keer burst out laughing and quickly stepped aside; she didn’t dare laugh recklessly.
Qi Wu Zhen said nothing more, rolled up Wang Keer, and vanished from that spot. Halechi was stunned for a while before sighing dejectedly and flying away.
…
Guo Shier kept using the Great Cross-Realm Talismans, and after more than ten days, he arrived at the territory of the ancient Miluo family. He hardly stayed in any continents or secret realms, so he moved forward at great speed.
Qianyan Continent.
Guo Shier said, “Uncle Eagle Demon, Uncle Luo, do you remember the Qianyan Continent? We’ve arrived.”
Eagle Demon was surprised. “Qianyan Continent? That’s where we managed to escape back then, haha. So we’ve come here… As long as we return to the territory of the ancient Xilong family, we can go home!”
Luo Zhan said calmly, “I’m afraid we still need to visit the ancient Guidai family.”
Guo Shier said, “Visit the ancient Guidai family? Oh… Dingding?” Only then did he remember that Zhou Xiaoling and Zhang Yaojin had also gone to the ancient Guidai family. After receiving their inheritance from that family, they had gone there together with Xian Ruidai. This time, when returning to their hometown, they should take Zhou Xiaoling along.
Eagle Demon laughed. “Dingding and Old Zhang… Dingding will definitely go back, but Old Zhang is uncertain. Maybe he doesn’t even want to return to his hometown anymore.”
Guo Shier thought for a moment and said, “I have the coordinates of the continent where the ancient Guidai family is located. Xian Ruidai once gave me the coordinates and a message talisman. Let’s go find Xian Ruidai first.”
Eagle Demon and Luo Zhan nodded at the same time. Nan You said, “I have no objections. Anyway, I’ll just follow Shier.”
Guo Shier didn’t hesitate anymore. He immediately activated the Great Cross-Realm Talisman and entered the region where the Gu Dai family resided directly from the Thousand Rock Continent. The Thousand Rock Continent itself was a convergence point of the territories occupied by the four ancient families. Whether heading to the Gu Dai family or the Gu Xi Long family, it served as an important transit point.
They entered the continent where Xian Rudei was located directly from the Thousand Rock Continent. This was the power of the Great Cross-Realm Talisman—it was far more powerful than ordinary cross-realm talismans.
The four of them hovered in the air. It was a truly beautiful place, with countless peaks and cliffs, waterfalls cascading down, extremely fresh air, layers of lush green plants covering the mountains, vines hanging from the cliffs, babbling streams, and blooming flowers.
The Qingya Continent.
Guo Shier sighed, “What a beautiful place—graceful yet magnificent. Truly worthy of being the continent of the Gu Dai family.”
Eagle Demon, Luo Zhan, and Nan You didn’t share his enthusiasm. Though such scenery was rare, they had seen something similar before. Only Guo Shier, with memories from his past life, could be so moved. He had never seen such beautiful landscapes in his previous life.
Guo Shier said, “I wonder if Xian Rudei is here.” With that, he cast a message talisman. A red glow flashed, and the talisman flew off.
