Chapter 005: Half a Face

This time, Moses adjusted the gravity multiplier in the gravity space to its highest level! Under such pressure, those dwarf warriors burst apart one after another.
“Second Commander, are you just going to stand by and watch those dwarf warriors die?” Du Fan asked, seeing Tek shrink his domain and cause many dwarf warriors to perish.
“What do those dwarfs’ lives matter to me?” Tek replied indifferently. “My goal now is simply to kill you. As long as I kill you, that’s enough. The more of those dwarfs die, the better in my eyes.”
“Aren’t you afraid that Karu will find out and get angry?” Du Fan asked curiously.
“Karu? I didn’t even kill those dwarfs. What can Karu do to me?” Tek said. “As for you, Du Fan, you’re about to die at my hands. Do you consider yourself lucky? To die at the hands of the man regarded as the closest to a god on this continent—are you excited?” Tek even began to ask with a sinister smile.
As the domain shrank, the decomposition field surrounding Du Fan was now only about five meters in diameter. Within this highly concentrated domain, Du Fan felt the pressure multiply!
It was nothing else but the rate at which the energy for absolute protection was disappearing—far too fast! So fast that it was unbearable for Du Fan!
It was like a powerful water pump, frantically draining the energy from Du Fan’s body. It gave him a sense of impending desolation and panic!
Turning his left wrist, Du Fan tightly grasped the Holy Radiance Staff. With its help, he felt the situation improving. His gaze shifted, and a holy smile appeared on his lips.
“Little Du Fan, what is that in your hand?” Tek asked curiously upon seeing Du Fan pull out a weapon.
“Don’t you know I’m also a magician? What I’m holding now is a staff! Be careful—I’ll give you a great gift soon,” Du Fan said seriously.
In the distance, Nai Xiu saw Du Fan and Tek locked in a standoff. She drew a long arrow and shot it at Tek at lightning speed.
The arrow vanished the moment it touched the decomposition field, completely dissolving along the surface of that silver field!
This highly concentrated decomposition field had such powerful dissolving capabilities that the arrow couldn’t even enter it!

“Du Fan, that little elf girl—is she your woman?” The second-in-command glanced in the direction of Naixiu and said.
“Exactly. What do you think? Not bad, right?” The two of them started talking as if chatting casually.
Yet, beneath their seemingly casual conversation, each was plotting their own schemes. Du Fan was preparing a Space Tear Slash, while Tek was doing his best to break down Du Fan’s absolute protection, while also being cautious of any sudden arrows Du Fan might shoot.
The Dragon Hurricane Du Fan had used earlier had clearly shown Tek that this seemingly holy man was actually a wind mage.
The second-in-command of the magical beasts, the man closest to a god on the continent—a cunning veteran—he certainly wouldn’t be easily attracted by Du Fan’s holy appearance like some naive girl.
“Elven girls are indeed nice. Tsk tsk, back in the day, I also sneaked into elven territories and stole a few. Tsk tsk, the taste of those elven girls is truly memorable,” Tek said.
“Pfft!” Hearing Tek’s words, Du Fan spat out saliva instantly.
Who would have thought that this second-in-command of the magical beasts had such amorous exploits, and he even brought them up in front of him.
A mouthful of saliva was shot straight at Tek’s face.
Unfortunately, it was instantly broken down by the void created upon release and disappeared within Tek’s decomposition field, never reaching his face.
However, as soon as Du Fan spat, he felt that the speed at which Tek was breaking down his absolute protection had increased.
This second-in-command of the magical beasts had taken the opportunity to accelerate the breakdown of his protection while Du Fan was distracted by spitting!
“Unbelievable. Truly unbelievable. A heroic figure like the second-in-command would do such things,” Du Fan thought, sensing the acceleration of Tek’s field. He quickly steadied his emotions and said with a smile.
Unfortunately, Tek sighed inwardly. If Du Fan’s focus had wavered for just a little longer, this second-in-command of the magical beasts would have had a high chance of breaking through Du Fan’s absolute protection.
But Du Fan managed to stabilize his focus in an instant.
“I was young and impulsive back then; I didn’t care about so many things. But since I’ve told you this, you can’t tell anyone else. Remember, this is a secret between us,” Tek said seriously.

“Of course, of course. I have a little secret too. I’ll tell it to the Second Commander, but don’t tell anyone else after hearing it,” Du Fan said, trying hard to suppress a smile.
“What secret? Tell me,” the Second Commander said, blinking. “Don’t tell me you secretly stole a few dwarf girls,” Tek said seriously.
“What I want to tell you is that this move is called the Divine Forbidden Art!” Du Fan blurted out, thrusting Frostfall Snow forward with force. A black, arc-shaped spatial slash shot toward Tek’s head!
The distance was so close! Moreover, Tek had been focusing only on Du Fan’s hand holding the Sacred Radiance Staff and hadn’t expected Du Fan to launch an attack using Frostfall Snow!
Fortunately, Tek had been watching closely to prevent Du Fan from playing tricks. Upon seeing this move, his first reaction was to use decomposition!
He intended to use his own Decomposition Domain to break down the energy composition of this attack!
But his initial thought completely changed! The Decomposition Domain he activated vanished the moment it touched that black arc, like mud sinking into the sea—leaving no trace of decomposition at all!
The Spatial Slash was meant to tear apart space, allowing the torn space to devour everything in its path. After all, that decomposing energy was still a form of matter! Anything that existed would be swallowed by that torn space!
Tek’s domain was no exception! At that critical moment, he finally did something very wise: he withdrew his domain, let go of Frostfall Snow, and quickly dodged!
The Spatial Slash passed right by Tek’s left cheek, traveled a short distance, and then disappeared.
Severe pain shot through Tek’s left cheek. When he touched it, his hand was covered in blood—blood that even carried a faint golden hue.
“You! Du Fan, you hurt me! After hundreds of years, I never thought I, Tek, would be injured again!” Tek screamed.
“And it’s my face! My handsome face! Half of it is gone!” Tek cried frantically.
Tek’s face now looked terrifying—Du Fan’s Spatial Slash had cut away most of his left cheek!

On that face, on the left side, the exposed white bones! It looked terrifying beyond description! Such grim clothing, that horrifying expression, coupled with Tek’s furious and terrifying look!
Tek now resembled a devil straight out of hell. With a shake of his body, a long, dark spear appeared in his hand. Roaring toward the sky, he raised the spear and thrust it fiercely at Du Fan!
Realizing that his absolute protection had been largely depleted by Tek’s decomposition field, Du Fan’s first thought upon seeing Tek’s devastating attack was to flee!
Judging from Tek’s demeanor, he was determined to kill Du Fan at all costs.
Du Fan didn’t even have time to say anything—the second-in-command of the magical beasts was too fast! Frightened, he immediately activated his flight skill, soaring into the air, changing directions rapidly as he flew away.
Pressing his thumb and index finger to his mouth, Tek let out a sharp whistle. The giant golden eagle took off and landed in front of him.
Climbing onto the eagle, it spread its massive wings and chased after Du Fan’s fleeing direction. Nayixiu, on the opposite mountain peak, seeing this, also unfolded her body on the ground and pursued Du Fan’s direction!
Thus, Du Fan flew in the air, followed closely by a giant golden eagle, on which sat Tek—furious, with one side of his face intact and the other covered in white bones!
On the ground, a highly agile elf closely followed the man and the eagle!
Seeing Tek and Du Fan escape, and with few dwarf warriors left, Moses also roared loudly!
“Archer gods of the elf race! Kill them all! Shoot those vile dwarves with your angry arrows!” Moses shouted.
Two thousand elf archers behind him responded with a roar and gathered behind Moses!
With a surge of energy, Moses unleashed his war domain!
After absorbing the divine essence, Moses’s war domain now covered a range of 300 meters! All the elves inside his war domain immediately felt their blood boiling!
These elf archers within the war domain’s range felt full of strength, with the flow of arrow energy in their bodies much faster than usual, and their recovery speed also greatly increased!
They all drew their long arrows and nocked them.

A rain of arrows was fired at the dwarf warriors in unison!
The dwarf warriors covered by the war zone felt as if they were stuck in mud, filled with panic, tension, and even fear.
Their movement slowed down, and lifting their weapons seemed strenuous—requiring more effort than usual, three times or more!
By the time they raised their shields, the elves’ arrows had already reached them.
The dwarves hit by the elves’ arrows fell to the ground one after another.
“Brothers! Follow me and fight!” Moses shouted, swinging his war sword, with a fierce killing intent emanating from it.
Kicking off the ground, Moses charged like a wolf into the dwarf army!
Without Tek’s suppression and no longer needing to worry about the casualties among the elves behind them, the number of dwarf warriors was now insufficient to threaten these elves, all of whom were level-seven archers.
As Moses plunged into the dwarf army, distant sounds of hooves, like those of countless troops, could be heard.
