Chapter 018: Chaos Unleashed

The remaining knights in the field were utterly shocked, seemingly unable to understand why Du Fan could suddenly reverse the situation. Though their faces and expressions were hidden by their black armor, the rapid pace of their breathing could not be concealed.
Finally, someone shouted loudly, and they charged at Du Fan on their warhorses like a gust of wind. The other black-armored knights also rushed forward, filled with fierce combat energy.
Yet Du Fan’s expression remained unchanged. He merely sighed with a hint of regret and said calmly, “Why do some people never understand, even at the moment of death… that I actually don’t want to kill them?”
As soon as he finished speaking, a surge of combat energy rose around him, enveloping his entire body. Without even using a single move, beams of holy light surged into the armor of those black-armored knights like a tide. Then, with loud “bangs,” the knights exploded almost simultaneously. The splattered blood and flesh resembled brilliant red fireworks bursting into view.
Even so, amidst the blood mist, Du Fan’s figure still appeared holy and noble. He sighed softly and murmured, “Is this the ever-changing nature of holy combat energy? It seems… I understand now…”
Landy could barely stand firm. Naturally, under such circumstances, even if he wanted to deal with those black-armored knights, he would have to pay a price. But he never expected Du Fan to defeat them so easily.
Originally, Landy thought those black-armored knights wouldn’t be able to take Du Fan’s life, but at least they would drain some of his strength. Yet it seemed they couldn’t even do that…
Finally, the blood mist in the air dissipated completely, and the combat energy surrounding Du Fan faded away. He glanced at his hands before smiling slightly at Landy nearby and saying, “Young Master Landy… I suppose you didn’t prepare just this much for me, right? So, what’s next?”

Randy’s expression was fascinating. After a moment, he sighed and said, “I never expected it, I really didn’t. Your strength, Duke, is far beyond what I imagined. Although I do still have a few tricks up my sleeve… in this situation, it would be embarrassing to use them! It seems I’ll have to experience your strength firsthand!”
Du Fan smiled and said, “That’s exactly what I hope for. I wouldn’t dare ask you to do it!”
Hearing Du Fan’s words, Randy didn’t waste any time. With a light leap, he appeared in front of Du Fan, grasped the long sword at his waist, and slowly drew it out. A strange glow appeared in his eyes, and a cluster of aqua-colored combat energy surged around the sword. With a powerful swing, the sword was thrust toward Du Fan’s chest.
Although Randy’s move didn’t seem particularly impressive, Du Fan, with his keen eyesight, could see that its power was entirely hidden in the blade. Judging from the force of the swing alone, this young master Randy was indeed no less skilled in martial arts than he was!
Du Fan didn’t dare take it lightly either. A glint appeared in his eyes as he pointed slightly forward, and he noticed a slight vibration in the air…
Soon after, Randy let out a groan. His sword hadn’t fully pierced through yet, but his body seemed to have been struck hard by something, sending him flying backward inexplicably. A corner of the blade also snapped off with a clang.
Shocked by this move, Randy was stunned by such a heavy loss. He gave Du Fan a puzzled look, unsure of how he had done it.
But Du Fan suddenly smiled gently and said, “Young Master Randy, there’s no need to be so surprised… Honestly, my move isn’t that amazing. It’s just a combination of ice magic and wind magic to create a silent blade. Its power may not be great, but it’s undetectable… I call this move ‘Stormy Chaos.’ I’m sorry if it makes you laugh, Young Master Randy.”
Randy’s expression changed slightly, but he calmed down after a moment. He simply nodded and said, “I see. I always thought your so-called mastery of both magic and martial arts was just a legend. I never expected you to have reached level nine in both martial arts and magic… It seems I underestimated you before!”
Du Fan smiled faintly and said, “Young Master Randy, you’re too modest. With your skills, you’re probably just one step away from the Saint rank, right? No matter how you look at it, I’m no match for you…”

Randy frowned and said, “There’s one thing I can’t understand. With your abilities, if you had realized from the start that I and Garfield were going to attack you… then why didn’t you leave first? If you had left first, we wouldn’t have been able to do anything to you… But now you stayed. Do you really think you can get away unscathed?”

Du Fan shook his head and said, “Indeed, if I wanted to leave, I could have done so at any time before. Not to mention you, even if Garfield had come, although I might not be able to defeat him, I could still manage to leave… However, I have one flaw—my excessive curiosity. I clearly knew you were going to attack me, but I was curious about what methods you had to be 100% sure of capturing me. And I wonder if you’ve thought about what would happen if you failed.”

Randy replied calmly, “Sixty or seventy percent certainty is already good enough for anything. How many things in this world can be done with 100% certainty? For example, whether I can defeat you, the Duke, is a fifty-fifty chance no matter how you look at it, yet I still have to take action… So, please don’t blame me for this, Duke.”

Du Fan smiled. “How could I blame you? But what are you planning to do next?”

Randy sighed and said, “With your great abilities, ordinary methods are likely not enough… If I, Randy, don’t show some real skill, won’t that make you laugh at me? My Lionheart family is known as the foremost martial family in the Gavin Empire. Although your Green family hasn’t claimed such a title, over the years it’s become somewhat more renowned than mine. So today, let’s see which family truly deserves the title of a martial family!”

After saying this, Randy suddenly knelt down slowly, placing his long sword across his chest. His originally amber-colored eyes suddenly turned aqua blue, and his long hair began to float gently in the air…

Streams of blue combat energy emerged from all over his body like transparent tentacles, swirling around him. Around him, aqua blue vortices also appeared out of thin air.

At this moment, Randy’s aura was far more powerful than ever before. The combat energy radiating from him even carried a hint of the ability to break through spatial rules.

Seeing this, Du Fan was secretly shocked. After all, back then, Aldas was known as the genius of the imperial capital. At Randi’s age, he had only reached the peak of level eight, but now Randi already possessed the strength of the peak of level nine. Even Aldas, with his high aspirations, would likely not be able to defeat him in a single exchange!

As for Du Fan, who had barely reached level nine through various opportunities, although he might not be weaker than Randi, he still had to admit that Randi was a genius among geniuses. He was different from Du Fan—his skills were all the result of his own hard work.

Finally, countless fierce auras burst forth from Randi’s body. Dust and fallen leaves on the ground around him began to float upward. In less than a moment, an area of hundreds of meters was completely enveloped by Randi’s aura!

In this space, it seemed as though everything contained endless moisture! The dust and fallen leaves floating in the air also seemed to be constantly turning into water vapor.

Du Fan’s expression turned serious. Staring in Randi’s direction, he sighed softly and said, “You’re truly formidable… If I don’t show some skill, I’m likely to lose here today… But to show respect for you, I won’t cheat this time!”

With that, Du Fan slowly drew out Frostfall Snow from his waist. In an instant, a chilling sword aura erupted from the blade, freezing all the water vapor around him. Du Fan raised Frostfall Snow slowly in front of his chest, focusing its aura on Randi. It seemed that only in this way could he resist the pressure exerted by Randi.

“Hahaha…” Randi laughed coldly. “Duke, it seems you’re ready too! Then, I won’t hold back!”

As soon as he finished speaking, Randi launched himself toward Du Fan like a cannonball. At the same time, a blue glow burst from his sword, as if it wanted to engulf Du Fan entirely.

This blue glow seemed to absorb all the water vapor in the air. In just an instant, a huge vortex appeared in midair, with Randi’s sword at its center!

This vortex, filled with endless moisture, radiated terrifying killing intent and blue combat energy. From a distance, it looked like a tornado formed of combat energy!!!
