Chapter 009: I Want the Moon

Upon hearing Angel’s words, Randy immediately puffed out his chest and declared loudly, “Angel, rest assured. Anything you say, I, Randy, will definitely do for you… Though this Roland Continent is vast, there are hardly any things I, Randy, can’t do!”
In his excitement, Randy even forgot to add “Your Highness.” His gaze toward Angel was filled with deep affection, as if he wanted to take out his heart and place it before her. He spoke with great pride.
It wasn’t surprising, after all—the Lionheart Family was originally a noble family of the empire, deeply trusted by the royal family, and held immense power. So Randy’s words weren’t entirely outrageous. Besides, boasting a bit in front of a woman wasn’t difficult at all.

When Angel heard Randy’s words, her expression became even more tender. She let out a soft sigh—undoubtedly, her sigh made every man at the banquet feel as though their hearts shattered at that moment. Then, she gazed at Randy lovingly and murmured, “Lord Randy… you’re so kind to me!”
Randy’s knees weakened further. Hearing these words from the goddess in his heart would surely excite any man, but Randy still managed to stay somewhat composed. He took a few deep breaths, though his expression remained awestruck. He simply said, “An… Angel… what exactly do you want me to do…”
Angel’s expression suddenly darkened. She bit her lip, seemingly embarrassed. After a moment, she softly said, “Lord Randy, you know the rules of our royal family… Normally… I… I couldn’t attend such a banquet… But I heard someone else would be here, so I couldn’t help but come and take a look. You know how my brother is—if I go against his wishes, he’ll be extremely angry…”
Randy was slightly stunned, but when he heard that Angel had come to the banquet “for someone else,” all his enthusiasm turned into tender affection. His heart fluttered wildly as he thought to himself: She came to the banquet for someone else! Could that someone be me…?
With that thought, Randy froze, his face showing a dazed expression.

Angel had been waiting for Randy to continue speaking, but to her surprise, Randy suddenly acted like an idiot, leaving her unable to go on. On the other hand, Du Fan felt a slight stir in his heart and thought to himself, “As expected. Princess Angel is indeed from the royal family. The brother she mentioned must be Prince Fisher… The old emperor has countless daughters, and among them, she is the most beautiful, but it’s normal that she isn’t a princess I know.” With this thought, Du Fan suddenly stepped in and continued Angel’s sentence. With a faint smile, he said, “Princess Angel, if that’s the case, then I’ll go to the palace tomorrow to plead for you… I think Prince Fisher will still do me this favor!” Angel seemed unprepared for Du Fan’s response and was momentarily stunned, only managing to say, “Lord Du Fan… this…” Meanwhile, Randy had recovered from his idiotic state. Hearing Du Fan say what he should have said, he became furious and filled with resentment toward Du Fan. With a cold laugh, he then spoke softly to Angel, “Angel… don’t listen to him. Since you’ve come to the banquet tonight, Prince Fisher must be aware of it. I think he won’t be angry. Don’t worry… I’ll go to the palace early tomorrow to plead for you. Given Prince Fisher’s magnanimity, he definitely won’t get angry.” Angel glanced between the two of them before sighing softly and saying, “I appreciate your kindness, both of you… But although my brother might get angry, it’s only for a day or two. I can go and apologize myself tomorrow… So what I’m asking for isn’t that, but something else…” Hearing this, Randy’s expression didn’t change at all. He just laughed and said, “Princess Angel, go ahead and ask! Whatever you want, I, Randy, will surely give it to you!” Hearing this, Angel showed a slightly embarrassed expression. Her shy look caught Randy’s eye, making his heart pound wildly, almost leaping out of his throat.
