Chapter 002: Leoport

The man who entered was clad in black armor, with only his head exposed—complete with a bald head. A huge scar ran across his face, along with a thick beard, giving him an extremely fierce appearance. In his hand, he held a massive copper hammer; it was likely this hammer that had shattered the doors of the Pavilion.

After entering, his gaze swept over the people in the Pavilion. He ignored the men entirely and focused solely on the women, his eyes so lecherous as if he wanted to devour them all.

The women in the Pavilion screamed and hid behind their men. Even Eileen trembled slightly and stepped back a few steps, though she still stayed by Du Fan’s side.

A hint of anger flashed across Jerome and Alex’s faces. “What kind of place is this? This is the Imperial Capital!” How dare someone offend them here?!

Furious, they slowly stood up, but as people of status, they wouldn’t resort to violence right away. Prince Fischer, on the other hand, gave the bald man a mocking smile and said, “What boldness! Do you know who lives here? Those who act recklessly here never end up well!”

Lady Shalin had already arrived, accompanied by a dozen warriors. With a face accustomed to hardships, she saw the broken doors on the ground and grew angry. Pointing at the bald man, she shouted, “You bastard! How dare you act recklessly in our Elven residence! Do you know where you are?”

Lady Shalin naturally knew the identity of Prince Fischer and his group. In the Imperial Capital, almost no one dared to provoke them, and those who did wouldn’t bother with such trivial matters. This reckless fool must be some ignorant country bumpkin who clearly… had never faced death before.

At her furious shout, the dozen warriors she led drew their swords. The blades of the two leaders glowed with cold energy—apparently, they had already mastered combat energy.

Seeing this, Prince Fischer simply smiled and said, “Kill them all… It’s just some fool who doesn’t know fear. After killing them, remember to drag their bodies outside to feed the dogs.”

As he spoke, Prince Fischer clapped his hands. Eva, who was by his side, understood the hint and quickly raised a glass of wine with trembling hands, bringing it before Prince Fischer. Yet, out of fear, her hands shook, and the wine spilled all over him.

Prince Fischer smiled gently and said, “Don’t be afraid. If you’re scared, don’t pour the wine… But since this has frightened you, that man truly deserves death. I’ll have them tear him to pieces right away!”

The bald man who had rushed in heard this and seemed somewhat dismissive. He didn’t bother to reply; instead, he swung the copper hammer in his hand and stepped back half a pace. Then, he saw a figure slowly emerging from behind him.

This person was quite tall, dressed in an extremely luxurious noble outfit, though somewhat different from the kind Du Fan was used to seeing. His hair was a light golden color, his nose was high and straight, making him quite handsome. Yet, his complexion was unnaturally pale, and his eyes lacked sharpness, giving off a somewhat feminine softness.

Still, he exuded an indescribable sense of nobility, as if he were a high-ranking noble.

He stood there calmly, glancing around, and his presence was already palpable.

After casting a few glances, his eyes settled on Lady Shalin. He even smiled and said, “Woman, you’d better scram quickly… We’re not used to fighting women. As for those warriors you mentioned wanting to fight us? You’re probably being too naive.”

Lady Shalin’s expression turned grim. Her elven background gave her great strength, and despite being in the capital for so long, few powerful nobles dared act recklessly here. Today, she had encountered this fool who didn’t know fear. Frowning, she stepped back a few times and shouted, “What are you waiting for? Attack them!”

The warriors who followed Lady Shalin rushed forward at her command. But Du Fan frowned, sensing something was wrong.

Sure enough, before the warriors could reach them, they saw the bald man swing his copper hammer, creating a gust of wind. A few of those less skilled were blown by the wind, their faces turning pale as blood sprayed from their mouths before they collapsed, their expressions twisted in pain.

The remaining few rushed at the bald man. With a swing of his copper hammer, he struck the long swords in their hands, instantly breaking them in two. The sword-wielding warriors all let out a pained scream as their arms bent strangely toward their chests—likely because their hand bones had been shattered by that blow.

The two warriors who had already developed combat energy managed to block the bald man’s strike, but their faces showed no sign of success. The bald man seemed surprised that his attack had been blocked; he let out a soft “Huh?” But soon, he swung his copper hammer again. With sounds of “thwack” and “thwack,” the long swords of the two combat energy warriors shattered into pieces. One of them was hit in the chest by the hammer and flew backward, crashing into the wall. His chest collapsed, clearly indicating that all his ribs were broken. By the time he hit the ground, he was struggling to breathe.

The last warrior, witnessing this, was stunned. His face turned red and white alternately, as if he didn’t know whether to charge forward to die or turn and run.

The bald man chuckled. With his other hand, the size of a fan, he grabbed the last warrior’s head and threw it behind him. With a loud “boom,” the warrior was flung outside the building—probably dead.

“So, this is the strength of your warriors?” The noble-looking man chuckled lightly a few times before shaking his head and saying, “They say the Gavin Empire is weak on the inside despite its outward strength. Today, I see it’s true!”

Lady Shalin was completely stunned after seeing all her men defeated. Not to mention the others, those two leading warriors were both level three warriors—yet they still lost…

Lady Shalin was also unmarried, and with her extensive experience, she realized she could never stop these people no matter what. Given the status of those behind her, could she really just turn and run? With that thought, she fainted instantly.

Alex’s expression changed. He had already grasped the long sword beside him, but without Prince Fisher’s orders, he would never act rashly.

Jerome, on the other hand, wore a smirk as he looked at the bald man, his eyes showing a hint of admiration.

Prince Fischer, expressionless, picked up the glass of wine in front of him, took a sip, then turned to look at Du Fan and said, “Oh dear, Lord Du Fan… I’m truly sorry. Why does it always happen that whenever I invite you out, some boring person comes to ruin things?”
Du Fan smiled faintly and glanced at the man behind the bald guy, but his heart was pounding. He had a vague feeling that this man seemed far more formidable than the bald guy in front of him!
Behind Du Fan, Eileen had somehow grabbed his sleeve with her small hand; her pretty face turned pale, and her body trembled continuously… Even the most beautiful woman would surely be terrified in such a situation.
Over there, Alex had already received the hint. He stepped forward slowly, holding his sword, and stared at the bald guy and the man behind him with an imposing expression. He said grimly, “I don’t care who you are! But if you dare to be arrogant in front of Prince Fischer… then sorry, you’re all dead!”
“Prince Fischer?” The man with the imposing air seemed to find this amusing. His gaze shifted from Alex to Prince Fischer, and he shook his head. “So that’s you… the young prince of the Gavin Empire, the legendary ‘Son of the Gods,’ Prince Fischer? But… even your father would have to be polite in front of me… What are you anyway? Not to mention offending you, even if I cut off your head, would anyone in your Gavin Empire dare to say a word?”
His words were extremely arrogant and domineering. Prince Fischer’s expression changed as if he remembered something, while Alex already drew his long sword from his waist with a clang, pointing the sharp blade at that man and saying, “I don’t fight unarmed people. Draw your sword!”

The man laughed and said, “Good! Very good! I didn’t expect there to still be a few people with backbone in the Gavin Empire! To tell you the truth, I am Leoport, the fifth prince of the Lanny Empire. I’ve already killed enough of your worthless people from the Gavin Empire on the battlefield, so I don’t want to kill anyone today…” As he spoke, his gaze shifted to Eileen behind Du Fan, filled with admiration. Then he smiled and said, “Isn’t this Miss Eileen? Very good! Very good! I don’t want any trouble today. As long as you stay still and don’t make any moves, I’ll take Eileen away and surely won’t touch you at all. Otherwise… Humph… Do you really think I, Leoport, would be afraid of you worthless bunch?”
At these words, the four people present all changed color!
