Chapter 004: Obsessive Attachment

Nicholas sighed deeply and said, “Dee… I always feel that what we did this time was really excessive. Dozens of Templar Knights… are now completely dead. If it weren’t for us, perhaps those last four could still have survived…”
Alfred let out a low sigh and said, “What can we do? That bastard Bruce wants us to not only eliminate all the Templar Knights but also keep Du Fan and Tasia alive. If we don’t do as he says, you know what will happen. Ni… I’m not afraid of anything… Being with you, I’m not afraid even of death… But I’m afraid of that eerie holy flame, which might keep our souls apart forever…”
After a pause, Alfred added, “By the way, Ni, why did you ask Tasia and Du Fan to leave first? If we fought them head-on with our strength, we might not be able to kill them all, but if we launched a surprise attack, our chances of success should be high.”
Nicholas shook his head slightly and said, “Dee… That Du Fan is definitely not as simple as you think. If the two of us faced him alone, we might not be afraid, but Tasia would definitely be on his side… It’s obvious that the people from Divine Might Prison have their eyes on Du Fan. Otherwise, why would they go to such lengths to get Tasia out? If those two are present… it will still be a problem even if we manage to take down one Templar Knight… Think about it—although we were only facing four Templar Knights this time, one of them still managed to escape, didn’t we?”
Alfred nodded and said, “That’s true… I was careless. But in this place, even if they try to escape, they can’t go far. Next time we meet them, we can just take the chance to kill them…”
Nicholas sighed and suddenly placed his hands under Alfred’s chin, whispering, “Dee… Will you promise me one thing?”
Alfred was slightly stunned and said, “Say it… I’ll promise you anything, anytime…”

Nicholas said sadly, “This time, everyone else in the Holy See is doomed; no one will survive. After we help Bruce finish this last task, let’s not go back at all—whether it’s the North, the Frozen Alliance, or even the Southern Swamps… Let’s find a place to live in seclusion… I don’t want to live this hidden life anymore… I want to be with you forever… If you’re afraid of being looked down upon… I’ll wear women’s clothes all the time so you won’t be embarrassed, okay?”
Alfred hesitated for a moment, his expression unreadable. Finally, he sighed and said, “Ni… It’s not that I refuse you… It’s just… I still have many things left unfinished… So I can’t just give up like this…”
“I knew you’d say that! I knew you’d say that!”
Nicholas suddenly shouted. He struggled to get up from Alfred’s arms. His face, already somewhat feminine, was covered in tears. Trembling, he pointed at Alfred and cursed, “Alfred! You bastard! For you… I betrayed Lord Anthony who raised me! For you! I betrayed the great God of Light! For you! I’m even willing to have my soul fall into the abyss after death just to be with you! But what about you? Every time, every time… whenever we’re intimate, you sweet-talk me about taking me away, to a place where no one knows us, to spend our lives together… But have you ever done it? Have you ever done it once? Tell me! Tell me!”
Alfred glanced at Nicholas with a look of helplessness. After a moment, he stood up, wrapped his arms around Nicholas’s waist, and whispered softly against his cheek, “Ni! Ni… Ni… You have to believe me… How could I not want to be with you? But… I keep dreaming that one day, our love will be blessed by everyone… I don’t want you to hide in a dark corner with me for the rest of our lives… I don’t want people to curse us behind our backs… I don’t want that…”

Nicholas’s face was covered in tears. He shook off Alfred’s hands and cried, “You lied to me… Everything was a lie… Do you really think I’m still that gullible little boy from before? I’ve already investigated you thoroughly—you’re not some noble descendant at all! You’re a spy sent by Roland Academy to the Holy See… You bastards… You sent some nuns to seduce me when I was thirteen… And only after you discovered my unusual interests did you step in, didn’t you? Alfred! Do you really think I don’t know anything?”
Alfred trembled violently. He frantically hugged Nicholas around the waist, kissing him over and over, as if trying to wipe away his tears. As he kissed him, he whispered, “I didn’t want to… I really didn’t… But why did fate make me meet you… Do you know, Nic? Do you know? The first time I saw you, I was completely captivated. Although I was ordered to get close to you, I never lied to you… My heart… My heart is genuine!”
As they spoke, both men hugging each other began to cry. Eventually, kisses replaced words, and the two passionate men, along with the blazing passion between them, burned fiercely.
Du Fan covered his eyes, feeling disgusted. He couldn’t believe that these two, who usually seemed so proper, would do such things—such intense homoeroticism…
Thinking of this, he couldn’t help but take another look, only to find that Alfred had already stripped Nicholas of his clothes, and their pale bodies were entwined together.
Du Fan felt disgusted again… This Nicholas… He really was a sucker…
Thinking about their passionate love, Du Fan finally covered his mouth, afraid he might vomit at any moment.
Tasia’s expression shifted from disbelief to panic. The shock of this truth must have been too much for her. Coupled with her weakened state, she fainted instantly.

The night passed in this way. Tasia was in slightly better condition; she had fainted, which made things seem less unbearable. But Du Fan couldn’t stand it—he spent the entire night listening to two men in love breathing heavily, along with all sorts of extremely bizarre moans and gasps, which sent chills running down his entire body. If it weren’t for knowing he wasn’t a match for those two, he would have rushed out and killed them!

Damn it, those two men in love were truly disgusting!

In the end, Du Fan had no choice but to cover his ears. Given his personality, since Tasia had fainted in front of him, she must surely be unchaste. Yet that night, he was so disgusted that he lost all interest—something quite rare for him.

When light shone back into the warehouse, it seemed everyone woke up at the same time.

As soon as Tasia opened her eyes, ignoring her injuries, she said, “They…”

Before she could finish, Du Fan quickly covered her mouth.

Du Fan hissed, “Don’t ask anything. Let’s talk once they leave.”

Tasia thought for a moment before nodding.

Du Fan helped her up, and the two of them peeked outside secretly. Fortunately, Du Fan’s magic array was incredibly sophisticated, masking their voices and breaths. Otherwise, if Nicholas and the others discovered someone spying, everything would be ruined.

Nicholas woke up. He slowly picked up his robe from beside him and put it on. After a night of intimacy, his face was flushed, and with features even more delicate than a woman’s, he looked as if he had suffered greatly.

After a while, Alfred also woke up. He looked at Nicholas and couldn’t help reaching out to pull him close.

But Nicholas gently stepped aside and said with a smile, “Stop being silly. Get dressed quickly.”

Alfred was captivated by his perfect expressions and smiles.

Seeing his reaction, Nicholas had no choice but to bend down and kiss his cheek, saying, “Hurry up and get dressed. You must have figured out the code by now, right? If so, Aldas and the others should be arriving soon. It wouldn’t be good if they saw us…”

Alfred nodded. He grabbed his clothes and put them on one by one, saying, “Indeed, if that kid Aldas finds out about us, it would be really bad…” By the time he finished speaking, he was fully dressed. Though they still clung to each other in broad daylight, their movements had become more normal. Du Fan and Tasia were almost faint from watching, but they didn’t dare cover their ears for fear of missing anything. Judging from what they had heard last night, Du Fan and Tasia were now in a desperate situation. How could they afford not to make use of such a rare chance to eavesdrop?
