Chapter 019: Crying “Thief” While Being One

Emily’s body began to tremble uncontrollably. Who could believe that she, who had been in the upper hand just a minute ago, had suddenly fallen to such a state? Not only could she not use her most skilled magic to blast this bastard charlatan to pieces, but she couldn’t even resist at all? This jerk! This pervert! What exactly did this shameless guy want? Could it be that he really intended to…
Although Emily was not yet eighteen, her bold personality made her mature early, and she knew a bit about matters between men and women. So she quickly realized what Du Fan would do next in this situation.
Many times, ignorance is a form of happiness.
Humiliating tears slid down Emily’s cheeks. She swore in her heart that she would never submit to this bastard, even if it meant dying. Unfortunately, at that moment, she didn’t even have the strength to end her own life.
“Oh my.” The hypocritical charlatan gently stroked Emily’s pretty face. “Look at you, why are you crying? Don’t worry. Once tonight is over, you’ll become a real woman. You should know that even the emperor doesn’t have the chance to be with as many noble ladies and common girls as I do. Now I’m kindly giving you this opportunity. Shouldn’t you be truly grateful to me? Oh, I see—you’re crying from happiness, right?”
Tears of happiness!
Emily raised her eyes to look at that smiling jerk. Her face turned pale, her lips trembling weakly. After a long while, she stammered out two words: “Bastard…”
“Although I consider myself a bastard, sadly, in many people’s eyes, I’m a good person.” Du Fan snapped his fingers, wiping away Emily’s continuous tears. “So, to maintain a good image in your eyes, I’d like to give you one last chance. Will you return what I call my ‘evidence’?”
Emily was slightly stunned, but she still managed to nod. At this moment, all threats, promises, or Milak potions meant nothing. Emily only knew that if this bastard charlatan took advantage of her, it would be worse than death.

Seeing Emily nod, Du Fan finally exhaled in satisfaction. He lifted her chin slightly, a pleasant smile forming on his lips. “Very well… Since you’ve agreed, can I assume that glove is on you? But I guess you don’t have the strength to take it out right now, do you? Well, as a good person, shouldn’t I help you?” Without waiting for Emily to nod, Du Fan’s hands began to explore her body. As he touched her around, he murmured, “Glove, glove…” But inwardly he prayed, “Great God of Light, when I was in the sanctuary this morning, I prayed to be able to communicate properly with this outrageously beautiful girl. I never expected it to happen now—seems my devotion has moved you! I praise you!” After checking every part of Emily’s body, pausing briefly at a few tempting spots, Du Fan found nothing. Ignoring her angry expression, he said innocently, “Miss, why can’t I find the glove? Or did you hide it on purpose? You should know that though I kindly gave you a chance, if you don’t seize it, that chance will slip away quickly! One must keep their eyes open—if you can’t read the situation, you might die a horrible death at any moment!” Emily closed her eyes in pain. The humiliation of having her body touched by this man made her want to die. But now she understood this bastard charlatan’s nature better—this seemingly gentle and holy man was utterly ruthless when it came to his actions. She had no doubt that if she made the slightest mistake, he would devour her alive. Perhaps it was this fear that gave Emily a little more strength. After struggling for a while, she managed to gasp, “It’s… in my space ring…” “A space ring?” Du Fan pretended to suddenly realize something. Then he quickly removed the ring from Emily’s left hand, examined it for a while, and finally glanced at her disdainfully. “Wearing such an ugly ring? What a tasteless woman!” With that, he stuffed the ring into his sleeve. A moment later, she felt as if her wrist had been scratched by a cat’s paw—a signal that the item was indeed inside.

Nodding in satisfaction, Du Fan took the ring out of his sleeve again and without hesitation stuffed it into his space ring. Then, with an innocent expression, he said to Emily, “There you go, miss. See? If you’d given this to me earlier, you wouldn’t have had to endure such humiliation, right? Well, can we proceed with the second deal now?”
Emily stared at him, confused. Hadn’t this bastard taken back his evidence? What more did he want?
Du Fan smiled faintly, his eyes narrowing into slits, his expression seemingly that of an innocent lamb. He gazed into Emily’s beautiful eyes and whispered, “Miss, if you just nod and agree to use your family’s influence to help me get the Milak potion later, I’ll let you go. Is that okay?”
Emily glared at him, struggling to speak after a long while: “You… you… don’t even dare…”
Unexpectedly, Du Fan showed no sign of disappointment. He smiled slightly and said, “Hmm, fine, let’s say I don’t dare. But to be honest, even if you agreed, I couldn’t trust you. After all, you’re a second-level mage! I’m nothing but trash in front of you. How could I expect you to keep your promise? Would you really fulfill it?”
These words, which usually sounded sarcastic, now seemed extremely vicious.
Emily closed her eyes in pain. She already understood that Du Fan would never let her go! The usually strong girl began to tremble slightly, not even realizing that the strange sense of weakness in her body was gradually fading. If she had noticed that, she might have had a slight chance, but sadly, she didn’t.
Du Fan smiled and stretched out his hands. This time, unusually, he didn’t take advantage of Emily. Instead, he slightly messed up her hairstyle and adjusted her clothes to make them look more natural. Then he started pulling at his own clothes. The dress, which had already been worn for a long time, became tattered under his pulling, revealing even the outline of his chest muscles.
Emily, who had given up completely, felt that a long time passed without Du Fan doing anything to her. Unable to resist, she slightly opened her eyes, only to see Du Fan’s malicious gaze immediately.
Du Fan sighed softly and said, “Miss, though I don’t know if you still have your first kiss, I suppose I’ll let you take advantage of me today!”

With that, ignoring Emily’s astonished gaze, he pressed his lips against hers. Emily let out a soft “Mm—” as her eyes widened in shock, as if stunned. But the swindler who had just stolen her first kiss seemed utterly uninterested in her lips. He quickly pulled back, spat a few times, and muttered, “Things change; what goes up must come down. Forced to be kissed in the afternoon, now forcing someone else to be kissed… Such is life!” As he spoke, his face moved constantly, and before long, his face, neck, chest, and even the sleeves of his clothes were covered in light kiss marks. After finishing all this, he reached out and patted Emily’s dazed face, whispering, “Miss, do you know what it means to cry ‘thief’ while being one?” Emily looked confused; perhaps she had already lost the ability to think. But Du Fan didn’t slow down at all. He pulled out his slender sword and threw it, then grabbed a stool behind him and hurled it as well. After that, he lay down on the ground and pulled Emily onto him, using her lifted skirt to cover himself, while her long legs clamped around his waist. He even positioned her hands as if to tear off his clothes. Fortunately, Du Fan still had a shred of conscience and, after thinking for a moment, decided not to leave Emily completely naked. “Well then…” Du Fan’s lips curled upward. “The most exciting act is about to begin. I believe from now on, no matter what you say about me—whether I was spying or looking openly—no one will believe you anymore, right? Miss Emily?” Du Fan pulled his hands to his chest. When he heard footsteps on the stairs, he finally took a deep breath and shouted in panic, “No… you can’t do this!!! Miss Emily!! You must not do this… You have to know… I’m a believer of the God of Light… You can’t treat me like this… Ah…” By the time he uttered the last word, his voice was filled with desperation, just like that of a vulnerable girl about to be violated. Emily closed her eyes in pain. At that moment, she wished desperately that the man before her would push her to the ground—perhaps then she might still have a glimmer of hope for the rest of her life… That devil! With that last thought in Emily’s mind, the door to the study was kicked open.
