Chapter 018: Shouting Until Hoarse

“Du Fan!!!”
Emily shrieked and swiftly moved in front of Du Fan, blocking his path. Her face was filled with fury—if looks could kill, Du Fan would have been reduced to pulp by now.
Glancing at Emily, who had suddenly appeared before him, Du Fan smiled lightly and said, “Hmm… quite fast, huh? I didn’t even have time to see clearly. That must mean you’re a magician. I never thought you, a brainless girl with big breasts, would be so favored by the God of Light. Well then, Miss Emily, almost everyone in the capital knows that although I, Du Fan, am a kind-hearted priest, I’m actually a good-for-nothing idiot. So, what exactly are you trying to show me by displaying your magical skills in front of such an idiot?”
Emily sneered and somehow pulled out a small magic wand. She quickly recited a few spells, and the wooden wand trembled slightly in her hand as several small fireballs appeared in the air.
The glowing fireballs stung people’s eyes, and under their light, the expressions on both of their faces became extremely complex.
“Small fireballs?” Du Fan touched his nose. “If I’m not mistaken, you’re at most a second-level magician, right?”
Emily froze for a moment before shouting angrily, “It’s none of your business!”
“Indeed, it’s not my business,” Du Fan nodded. “But why did you suddenly show off your magic in front of me? You should explain yourself.”
Emily bit her sexy lips and said slowly, “Du Fan, I’m asking you one last time—will you help me get the Milak potion?”
“Isn’t that obvious?” Du Fan gave her a look as if she were an idiot. “If I agreed, I would have done so already. Have you forgotten what I just said? But it’s no wonder—still a second-level magician at your age? How embarrassing!”
Emily’s lips twitched, and she couldn’t help but shout, “Du Fan! You bastard!”
As she spoke, her wand trembled, and the floating fireballs shot toward Du Fan with a whooshing sound.
Although they were just small fireballs, they created a wave of heat in the air.
But Du Fan didn’t even blink. He stared at Emily and said calmly, “Are you really going to do it?”

Before she could finish speaking, those small fireballs flew past his body and hit the bookshelves behind him. Fortunately, this study was only nominal, and there weren’t many books on the shelves, so although the shelves were damaged, they didn’t catch fire. Du Fan turned to take a look and sighed, “Mages truly possess great power. It seems… I have no chance to fight back in front of you, the young lady, right?” Emily took a deep breath and said, “It’s good if you know that… You have no chance to fight back in front of me, so please don’t try to resist. I’ve realized now that you bastard will never agree to help me. But the humiliation I suffered this afternoon can’t just be ignored… You know… this is the first time in my life as Emily that a man has ever…” Her face turned red as she struggled to say the rest, even though she was usually bold. “Oh, I see? You want to watch? Why didn’t you say so earlier? If you had, I could have taken off my clothes as soon as I came in. But remember… just watch, don’t touch…” Du Fan first showed an expression of understanding, then turned shy—his ability to change expressions was truly astonishing. “You… you…” Emily was almost faint from anger. How could there be such a bastard in the world? “Stop it! Who asked you to take off your clothes… I just… I just…” Before she could finish, Emily coughed violently and bent over in pain. A second-level mage like her was so enraged by this worthless Du Fan that she almost vomited blood. “No way… Are you… are you going to do it yourself?” Du Fan looked shocked, then sighed in resignation. “Well… since you have such an interest in stripping men, I’ll satisfy your lust. Go ahead… But… it’s my first time, so please be gentle…” “Crack—” Emily almost bit through her teeth. She glared at Du Fan and said slowly, “I’m going to kill you… I’m going to kill you… I absolutely will kill you!!!” But Du Fan seemed not to hear her. He clapped his hands and said, “Oh right, I suddenly remembered. At the hot springs today, you seemed to tell your friends: ‘I’m worse than a bastard, worse than a pervert, right?’”

Emily, filled with shyness and anger, couldn’t help but curse upon hearing Du Fan’s words: “Aren’t you a bastard too? Watch me kill you, you hypocritical swindler, right now!” With that, she grabbed her wand again and began chanting spells. But perhaps because she was so enraged by Du Fan, she couldn’t finish chanting the spells despite trying for a long time. Still, she glared at him fiercely, as if she wanted to devour him alive.

Du Fan smiled slightly and pointed at his nose. “Miss Emily, I’m quite petty and always seek revenge for any offense. If you had spoken to me like that this afternoon, I would definitely have taken revenge. But since I’m partly at fault in this matter, I’ll forgive you this time. Just give me back my glove, and we can call it a day. How about that?”

Emily stepped back a few steps, her wand still pointed at Du Fan. “Dream on! I’ve decided that you, you bastard, not only need to be given a proper lesson but also ruined completely. Go to the depths of hell and regret it!” With that, she swung her wand violently. As the spell was completed, a wind blade shot toward Du Fan.

Du Fan was startled. He knew full well that Emily was acting out of fury and would definitely not show mercy. Without thinking, he rolled on the ground just in time to avoid the wind blade, but his clothes were still torn. Though unharmed, he looked disheveled from the roll.

Du Fan scrambled to his feet, staring at Emily with a mix of anger and amusement. “Good, very good. You tried to force me with that glove, and I was ready to deal with you. Out of respect for your father, I held back, but you still treat me like this… This time, don’t blame me if I’m not merciful!”

That bastard swindler had completely forgotten that he was at fault for everything from the start, including provoking Emily, which led to this outcome. Or maybe he knew the outcome but deliberately let things go that way.

“Not merciful?” Emily looked at Du Fan with disdain. “If I call you useless, you’ll always be useless. Do you really think a priest who can’t use Qi or magic can do anything to me?”

Du Fan sneered and said, “Of course I can’t do anything to you, but what can you do to me? Right? Miss… Enough, Miss… At this moment, don’t you feel… your whole body starting to go weak?”
Emily let out a muffled groan. She tried to say something, but before she could speak, she felt a sudden weakness in her body and collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath. Though confused, she remained conscious.
Du Fan sighed at her expression and said, “Ah, it seems Chenchen was right. This verbal magic really has very limited effect on mages. I need to be more careful from now on. If this miss were at a higher level, I might really be in trouble this time…”
As he spoke, Du Fan slowly crouched down beside Emily, smiling at her and saying, “Miss, don’t you feel your whole body is extremely weak? Not to mention holding a wand, you probably don’t even have the strength to cast spells, right?”
Emily gasped at him, staring at him intermittently and saying, “You… you bastard… What did you do to me…”
“Actually, nothing much,” Du Fan said, gently placing his hand on her waist. “I’m just teaching you… how to be a person… It’s better not to be too arrogant. Well… it’s good you ran into me this time. At most, I’ll suffer a little and take advantage of you a bit. If you’d met someone else… who knows…”
As he spoke, this bastard skillfully slipped his hand into Emily’s clothes, grabbing a few handfuls of her full breasts, then quickly tore open her skirt and lifted its hem. After that, he stood up, sniffed his palms, and began slowly removing his own clothes.
It was the first time in Emily’s life she had encountered such a thing. She was already stunned when Du Fan started grabbing her, and now, seeing his actions, she weakly cried out, “No… don’t… don’t…”
Du Fan chuckled, crouched down, lifted her chin, and whispered, “Miss, keep screaming. Keep screaming. No one will come to save you even if you shout your lungs out!”
