Chapter 0499: The Power of the Chaos Bell
After their attack, the three Amo members were sent flying by a powerful rebound force, retreating hundreds of thousands of miles before they could stabilize. Once they stood firm, their faces showed shock as they exclaimed in unison, “A primary divine artifact!”
Like the gods before them, the three Amo members mistook the Chaos Bell above the Yellow Dragon’s head for a primary divine artifact.
The gods around the Red Sea also thought the same, immediately conceiving the idea of a “primary divine artifact.”
“So this Yellow Dragon actually possesses a defensive primary divine artifact! No wonder it dared challenge all three of us at once!” exclaimed a middle-aged man with purple hair from afar, his eyes burning as he stared at the Chaos Bell above the Yellow Dragon’s head.
Primary divine artifacts—even the most powerful beings might not possess them, such as him, or the three Amo members!
The three Amo members stood still, staring in shock at the Yellow Dragon, too stunned to act further.
The Yellow Dragon looked at them indifferently, while the Chaos Bell above its head emitted a dazzling glow.
“Yellow Dragon, I didn’t expect you to have a defensive primary divine artifact. But do you really think having one will let you defeat us three?!” After a while, Amo said solemnly. Even if the Yellow Dragon had a physical defensive primary divine artifact, what about its soul? He didn’t believe it had a soul-based defensive artifact either!
As soon as Amo finished speaking, his eyes sparkled with mystery as a mysterious force surged from deep within his mind and struck toward the Yellow Dragon.
Yet, to his astonishment, as his force rushed toward the Yellow Dragon, an even more powerful force erupted from within it.
“Zizz, bobo!” As the two forces collided, invisible energy blasts shot out, shaking Amo’s body and sending him reeling. In horror, he pointed at the Yellow Dragon, unable to believe it, “Are you also a Soul Master?!”
Purify and the other were shocked—was this Yellow Dragon also a Soul Master?! And from what they had seen, its soul power seemed even stronger than Amo’s!
While the three were stunned, a figure flashed—transforming the Yellow Dragon into three beings who instantly appeared before them.
This wasn’t an incarnation of the Yellow Dragon but a divine skill of the immortals: transformation!
The Yellow Dragon struck swiftly.
“Five Peaks Qi Gale!”
The three Amo members felt the space around them darken as spatial currents turned into five massive mountains pressing down on them. In panic, they each invoked their primary divine essences and summoned their divine avatars, striking out at the surroundings simultaneously.
A brilliant light erupted, and the space roared with thunder!
Despite having their divine avatars, the three Amo members were still sent flying backward. The Yellow Dragon moved with them, unleashing its mental and soul powers to attack each of them. At the same time, it formed sword energy in its hands and struck. As the three Amo members flew backward, they were attacked by the Yellow Dragon’s soul force, causing turmoil in their soul seas. Before they could react, they were instantly struck by three blinding sword beams.
Three agonized screams rang out as the three Amo members flew backward. With a pop, they fell into the Red Sea and sank beneath the surface.
The skies above the Red Sea returned to calm. The sea breeze blew, and the sunlight shone on the faces of the gods, who were stunned. It was somewhat warm. From Huang Long summoning the Chaos Bell to the three Amo members being knocked into the Red Sea by him, everything had changed too quickly, and the outcome wasn’t what the gods had expected.
A primary divine artifact, a Soul Master?!
The gods stared at Huang Long.
Huang Long slowly descended, stopping about a hundred feet above the surface of the Red Sea. Then he looked down at where the three Amo members had fallen. Naturally, they weren’t dead. Although their strength wasn’t comparable to that of Brade, they were still peerless warriors. In the future, once Huang Long took control of the Red Flame Divine Sect, he would still need them to maintain its prestige.
The four Amo members were only loyal to the sect leader of the Red Flame Divine Sect. So, as long as Huang Long became the sect leader, they would also be loyal to him.
Huang Long had been on the Five Elements Continent for some time and knew quite a bit about the Five Elements Divine Sect. Although he hadn’t killed the three Amo members, his previous strike had certainly been powerful.
It was only after a long while that the calm sea surface suddenly erupted with a loud “bang,” waves splashing upward as the three Amo members who had sunk to the bottom rose back to the surface.
The three Amo members looked disheveled. Their divine artifact armor was now covered in intersecting sword marks. They looked at Huang Long, but their expressions had changed from before—anger had vanished, replaced by shock and even a hint of reverence.
“Huang, Huang Long…” After a moment, the four Amo members exchanged glances before Amo hesitantly spoke, his voice hoarse and low, “You… won!” After saying that, their expressions turned somber.
In truth, it didn’t matter to them who became the leader of the Red Flame Divine Sect. Otherwise, there would have been no need for a duel. But what depressed them was losing to Huang Long, a peer of their own strength, and at that, a crushing defeat!
Especially the three Amo members who had fought together felt even more disheartened.
As the four Amo members admitted their defeat, the surrounding gods became agitated.
Huang Long didn’t speak but looked upward behind the four Amo members and said calmly, “Since you’re here, why hide?” His words left everyone confused.
But when the gods followed his gaze, they saw a figure slowly forming in the once-empty skies above the Red Sea—it was none other than their sect leader, Hogan!
“Master!” The four Amo members were also stunned upon seeing Hogan. They turned around and bowed, knowing that although they didn’t know the outcome of Huang Long’s match with Hogan, Hogan was still their master for now. Hogan nodded, his expression dark as he looked at Huang Long. He naturally wanted to “pay attention” to the battle between Huang Long and the four Amo members. But he hadn’t expected Huang Long to be able to detect his hiding place. That meant Huang Long had already discovered him and was waiting for the match to end before “forcing” him to appear. A surge of energy rippled through the space as Hogan and Huang Long locked eyes. “Huang Long, good!” Hogan said in a low voice before falling silent again. When his gaze shifted to the Chaos Bell above Huang Long’s head, a glint of intense light flashed in his eyes. Though Hogan hid his fervent expression well, Huang Long noticed it. With a cold smile, he realized how easy it was to understand Hogan’s thoughts. “I didn’t expect you to be able to defeat the four Amo members,” Hogan said after a while. The gods around them were silent, unprepared for Hogan’s appearance. “Huang Long, since you’ve defeated the four Amo members, there’s no need to pick another day for our fight. Let’s do it now!” Just as the gods wondered what would happen next when Huang Long and Hogan met, Hogan spoke again. “What?! The master and Huang Long fighting now?!” The gods were in shock, then quickly became excited and eager. They watched Huang Long, waiting for him to speak. “Good!” Huang Long replied slowly. The four Amo members hadn’t expected Hogan to appear and then propose a fight with Huang Long, who agreed as well. It was sudden. By usual rules, even if Huang Long had defeated the four Amo members, his fight with Hogan would have to wait a month. But since both Huang Long and Hogan agreed, those rules no longer applied. The four Amo members exchanged glances before flying back tens of thousands of miles away, clearing space for Huang Long and Hogan. In the distance, a middle-aged man with purple hair watched the two intently, lost in thought. After the four Amo members retreated, neither Huang Long nor Hogan moved first. “The Primary Divine Artifact of Material Defense! Heaven itself is helping me! By killing this Huang Long and seizing this artifact, I will become the greatest in the Five Elements Continent.” Hogan was overjoyed—this was why he couldn’t wait to fight Huang Long, fearing Huang Long might escape or some other complication might arise.
With a thought, a red glow flashed in Hogan’s hand, and a long spear appeared—over three meters long. As it appeared, space trembled. With a shake from Hogan’s hand, countless spear shadows emerged, creating holes in space. Even more astonishingly, when the spear shook, a “whooshing” sound was heard, causing dizziness in the minds of the gods around him.
“The Main Divine Artifact of Soul Attack!”
When the spear appeared in Hogan’s hand, Amo and the other three, along with the middle-aged man with purple hair and the gods, exclaimed aloud. Although Amo and the others knew Hogan possessed the Main Divine Artifact of Soul Attack, they hadn’t seen him use it in front of everyone for billions of years. They never expected Hogan to use this artifact right from the start of his battle with the Yellow Dragon.
“I didn’t expect the Sect Leader to use this Main Divine Artifact of Soul Attack now,” Amo sighed.
“Look, can the Yellow Dragon escape?” Ward asked.
In everyone’s opinion, Hogan’s Main Divine Artifact of Soul Attack perfectly countered the Yellow Dragon’s Main Divine Artifact of Material Defense. It was impossible for the Yellow Dragon to win—after all, no matter how strong its soul power was, it couldn’t surpass the attacks of Hogan’s artifact.
Ward and the others’ discussions naturally didn’t escape the Yellow Dragon’s ears.
Escape? The Yellow Dragon’s expression remained indifferent.
With the spear in hand, Hogan’s eyes flashed with killing intent as he leaped into the air. Shaking the spear, he thrust it at the Yellow Dragon: “Yellow Dragon, die!” Countless spear shadows attacked like meteors, while a powerful, mysterious force emanated from the spear, sweeping over the Yellow Dragon.
Seeing this, the Yellow Dragon didn’t dodge. It remained motionless in midair, secretly channeling the power of the Immortal Spirit within it into the Chaos Bell. Grayish streams of energy began to flow within the bell.
“Looking for death!” Hogan felt anger flash through him upon seeing the Yellow Dragon refuse to dodge. His eyes grew colder, yet he also felt secretly pleased. He had been worried that the Yellow Dragon would dodge, especially since it was extremely fast during the battle with Amo and the others. If it dodged, it would be difficult for him to kill it.
It seemed his earlier worries were unnecessary!
The countless spear shadows finally struck the energy barrier of the Chaos Bell. Ripples of space spread outward, and the powerful mysterious force from the spear also enveloped the Yellow Dragon.
Hogan’s face lit up with joy.
But before his smile could fully appear, suddenly, a deafening bell sound rang out, shaking the entire Five Elements Continent. The grayish streams from the Chaos Bell dispersed in all directions, instantly swallowing Hogan’s attack.
Space collapsed piece by piece, turning into nothingness.
Wherever those grayish streams passed, everything vanished!
Hogan watched the grayish airflow approach him steadily, his face turning pale with horror. He couldn’t understand what was happening. A sense of death enveloped him, and he wanted to flee in panic. Yet, just as he had flown back a million miles, the grayish airflow had already reached behind him.
