Chapter 0491: The Five-Element Divine Mountain
The Yellow Dragon flew southward all the way. The hotter it got as it flew further south; after hundreds of millions of miles, the air currents in that area seemed like flames shooting out from a furnace. On the ground, flames appeared in many places, glowing golden-red. As it flew, the Yellow Dragon extended its divine sense, but found no signs of life within its range. “Could this be an uninhabited space?” it wondered after several days. Yet, this strange space was quite large—according to the Yellow Dragon’s estimate, it was almost as big as the continent of Hell, even without the Netherworld.
A month later, the flying Yellow Dragon grew pleased and rushed toward a mountain range tens of millions of miles away. Its divine sense had detected human inhabitants in that region, which filled it with joy. Soon, it landed on a path in that mountain range. But just as it prepared to walk toward the village, a shout rang out: “Kid, stop right there!” Then, more than a dozen men jumped out from both sides of the path. These men had fierce appearances, especially with thick chest hair; each held a sword, axe, or spear, staring at the Yellow Dragon with murderous intent.
The Yellow Dragon was stunned, then forced a wry smile—it had encountered bandits! The strongest among these bandits was only at the seventh level of mortal warriors. How dare such a group of seventh-level warriors try to rob a divine-level powerhouse with their weapons?! The Yellow Dragon smiled broadly. “Kid, why are you laughing?!” The bandit leader, enraged by the Yellow Dragon’s laughter, widened his eyes, flashed a fierce gaze, and raised his sword at it.
The Yellow Dragon didn’t get angry—it wasn’t worth it. Instead, it said, “Come here for a moment.” The bandit leader stared at it in disbelief, then exploded in fury: “What did you say? You want me to come over?!” The way the Yellow Dragon spoke, as if giving orders to a subordinate, enraged him further. To him, this seemingly ordinary, weak-looking young man must think he was invincible!
“Go! Teach this kid a lesson!” the bandit leader kicked one of his subordinates and ordered. The subordinate quickly obeyed and walked toward the Yellow Dragon with a cruel smile. The Yellow Dragon shook its head silently, deciding not to play any more games. It raised its right hand, extended a finger, and a platinum-white flame appeared. Under the gaze of the bandits, it pointed at a mountain hundreds of feet tall tens of miles away. The mountain instantly evaporated, turning to ashes.
The dozen or so bandits stared in shock at this scene, their eyes wide open. The bandit who had been advancing toward Huang Long with a sword stopped mid-step, hovering on one foot without taking another step forward. With just one finger, a mountain peak hundreds of feet tall dozens of miles away was reduced to ashes?! After being stunned by this seemingly magical sight, it took them a long time to realize what had happened. Terrified, their faces turned pale as they collapsed to their knees.
“Lord, we were blind for not recognizing you…”
A chorus of panicked pleas for mercy filled the air.
Huang Long said calmly, “Enough. Get up.”
At his voice, the bandits who were kneeling and begging stopped speaking. They looked at each other in disbelief, then cautiously raised their heads to glance at Huang Long, trying to gauge his expression.
“Get up!” Huang Long emphasized.
Only then did the bandits realize he was serious. They hurriedly stood up, trembling and staying silent.
“Come here,” Huang Long ordered, pointing at the bandit leader.
The bandit leader shuddered violently, his face pale with cold sweat. He rushed over quickly. “Lord, what do you command?” This time, he didn’t dare order his men to advance with swords against Huang Long as before.
“What place is this?” Huang Long asked directly, without attempting to read their minds.
What place? The bandit leader was stunned. Could this powerful figure be from another country? He quickly replied, “Lord, this is the Country of South.”
“The Country of South?” Huang Long frowned.
He hadn’t heard the term “country” in a long time. Normally, there were no countries in the divine realms—only domains. Only in mortal realms like the Hengyuan Realm did countries exist.
Huang Long then asked many more questions, gradually gaining some understanding of this space.
This space contained five continents, collectively known as the Five Elements Continents. These continents were divided into five directions: east, west, south, north, and center.
The east was the Green Wood Continent, the west the Geng Metal Continent, the south the Red Flame Continent, the north the Dark Water Continent, and the center the Wu Earth Continent.
Huang Long was currently on the Red Flame Continent in the south.
The Red Flame Continent had over a thousand countries, and the Country of South was just one of the intermediate-sized nations.
However, when Huang Long heard about the Gold and Silver Continents in the west, he became curious. He thought of the gold and silver ball he had obtained earlier, which contained pure dragon energy. Could there be a connection between the two?
To his disappointment, when he took out the gold and silver ball, the bandits shook their heads, saying they didn’t recognize it.
“Go away,” Huang Long said, sending the bandits away after realizing he couldn’t get any more information from them.
The dozen or so bandits, upon hearing Huang Long tell them to leave, were initially stunned. Once they realized what was happening, their eyes welled up with tears as they kowtowed in gratitude before fleeing as if granted amnesty. After those bandits left, Huang Long expanded his divine senses to cover the entire Kingdom of Nan, instantly identifying the strongest person there—a silver-haired elder at the peak of the Divine Realm. Thus, Huang Long rushed toward the silver-haired elder. Since those bandits were ordinary people, they knew little. Now, Huang Long wanted to see if this elder recognized the gold and silver balls. Anto, the founder of the Kingdom of Nan and the strongest being in over a thousand years since its establishment, was currently meditating in a forbidden palace within the kingdom’s palace. That day, as Anto was in meditation, suddenly a sound cutting through the air came. Finding it strange, he opened his eyes to see a streak of light arriving above the palace in an instant. Then, a shadow flashed before his eyes, and a young man with black hair appeared. Shocked, Anto quickly stood up and bowed respectfully, saying, “Anto of the Kingdom of Nan greets the Divine Messenger!” A Divine Messenger? This time, it was Huang Long who was surprised. He had intended to ask if Anto recognized the gold and silver balls and to find out if this space was related to the Chaos Divine Dragon’s Five Claws. Unexpectedly, Anto mistook him for some kind of divine messenger. “Stand up,” Huang Long said after pondering for a moment. “Thank you, Divine Messenger!” Anto stood up and waited respectfully, awaiting Huang Long’s questions and instructions. But when he heard Huang Long ask, “What is your name?” Anto raised his head in surprise—what was his name? Did the Divine Messenger not know? Then, an idea flashed through his mind, and he blurted out, “Aren’t you the Divine Messenger?!” Huang Long remained calm and did not hide the truth: “I indeed am not the Divine Messenger you speak of. I’ve just arrived in this space and wanted to ask you a few questions.” Just arrived in this space?! Anto was stunned, then his expression changed. “Lord, do you mean you were sucked in from the Plane of the Supreme God of Light by the black hole vortex?!” Huang Long hadn’t expected Anto to know about the black hole vortex. “That’s correct,” Huang Long replied, then asked, “I want to know if there have been any other divine-level powerhouses sucked in from the Plane of the Supreme God of Light by the black hole vortex in the past?” Since Huang Long himself had just been sucked in from that plane by the black hole vortex, this surprised Anto. After understanding Huang Long’s question, he quickly replied respectfully, “Your servant’s name is Anto. In our Five Elements Continent, there are many divine-level powerhouses who were sucked in from the Plane of the Supreme God of Light by the black hole.”
Huang Long confirmed this and nodded inwardly. It seemed this was the reason why those godly warriors who entered Tiandu Peak as mentioned in the Realm of the Supreme God had disappeared without a trace.
“Then where have all these godly warriors gone?” Huang Long asked. Earlier, when he extended his divine sense to the farthest reaches, he still found no signs of such warriors. At most, those like Anto before him were at the peak of the Divine Realm.
Anto replied respectfully, “My lord, you may not be aware that on our Five Elements Continent, all godly warriors reside on the Five Elements Divine Mountains, which are the homes of the heavenly gods.”
“Five Elements Divine Mountains?” Huang Long was puzzled.
Anto then explained these mountains to him. On each of the Five Elements Continents, there was a divine mountain. Above these mountains, abundant spiritual energy allowed the godly warriors to cultivate. Even if a warrior’s cultivation principles did not align with the Five Elements, they would still choose to cultivate there, as the mountains were beneficial for their cultivation as well, though not as effective as following the Five Elements principles.
These Five Elements Divine Mountains were located at the center of each continent, countless trillions of miles away. Once godly warriors were drawn into this space, they could not leave and could only reproduce and survive there, giving rise to mortal descendants. Some of these mortals cultivated, and some strong ones established nations. Of course, mortals had no right to reside in the Five Elements Divine Mountains.
Huang Long also learned that there were no Divine Transformation Pools in this space, so these mortal descendants could only cultivate up to the peak of the Divine Realm, and they would perish within two thousand years after reaching that level.
After hearing this, Huang Long asked, “So even the most powerful warriors cannot escape once they enter this space?”
Anto nodded. “Yes, my lord. The only way out is through that black hole vortex. But even the highest-ranking gods cannot resist the black hole’s pull, unless they reach the strength of a Supreme God!”
Huang Long’s expression changed slightly, and he smiled bitterly, recalling the feeling of being trapped in the Dark Star in the Tianyun Dimensional Space back then.
After a while, Huang Long took out the gold and silver ball and asked Anto, “Do you recognize this ball?”
Anto took the ball from Huang Long’s hand with a puzzled look, examined it carefully, and gradually exclaimed in surprise, “Could this be the Gengjin Divine Pearl?!”
“Gengjin Divine Pearl?!” Huang Long was delighted. Anto recognized this pearl?! So that’s how it is…
“Yes, my lord. The Gengjin Divine Pearl is a very precious divine pearl born on one of our Five Elements Divine Mountains,” Anto said.
