Chapter 0422: Over Two Thousand Divine Avatars

Chester was filled with extreme anger. Yet, apart from anger, he could do nothing else. Not only could he not compete with Fide, who ranked sixth in this contest, but even Sid, who ranked sixteenth, was beyond his reach. Now, Chester truly felt the deep helplessness and sorrow of his inferior strength.

Was he really going to die here?!

Chester asked himself in despair.

According to the rules of the Six Great Families, if any of the top 300 disciples died from “accidents” during the struggle for the Sacred Fruit of Heaven and Earth and the Nether Pearl, none of the Six Great Families could hold each other accountable. Thus, Sid and Fide had no scruples about killing Chester.

“Kid, if you want to blame someone, it’s only your bad luck!” Sid said coldly as he walked toward Chester. Then, he leaped into the air and swung his divine weapon. “Die!”

A dark blue sword glow spread out, transforming into thousands of energy streams that rushed toward Chester.

Chester was shocked. He quickly spun his divine weapon, turning it into countless sword energies that swirled around him like serpents. At the same time, the outer armor on his body emerged, with golden dragons carved on it glowing and emitting a mysterious power.

With a loud crash, Sid’s attack struck the energy streams formed by Chester’s sword energies, scattering them before colliding with the mysterious power emitted by the armor. Unable to withstand the intense impact, Chester was sent flying and landed miles away, his face turning pale.

“Armor protected by a formation?” Sid’s eyes lit up upon seeing Chester’s armor. During the previous contest, he had long coveted that set of formation-based divine weapons. Now, he finally had the chance to take them legitimately.

However, he also kept a close eye on Fide nearby, staying vigilant. Although Fide hated Chester, anything could happen.

Under Sid’s fierce attacks, Chester, relying on the immortal weapon given to him by the Yellow Dragon, was still severely injured and sent flying back to the ground, just as during the contest.

Sid approached Chester, looking down at him who lay on the ground. Then, he stripped away Chester’s immortal weapon and stepped on Chester’s chest. “Kid, run! I’m telling you to run!” After saying that, he kicked Chester away and stepped aside, clearly intending to hand him over to Fide.

Chester sent countless rocks flying into the air. When he stopped thousands of miles away, his eyes were slightly closed, and his consciousness was growing blurred. Vaguely, he saw a figure approaching him. Straining to open his eyes, he recognized it as Fide. A surge of murderous intent and hatred welled up in him as he tried to struggle to get up.

But just as Chester managed to rise, Fide threw a punch that sent him flying again. After crashing back to the ground, all that remained was a faint moan.

“On your deathbed, you still want to kill me?” Fide tutted, shaking his head with a cold laugh. Then he flashed forward to Chester’s side, lifted him with one hand using his water-based divine power to form a cloud of water, and slashed down with his arm like a knife. As Chester flew backward, blood sprayed from every part of his body.

“Even if I stand here for you to kill me, can you really do it now?” Fide laughed as he sent Chester flying once more.

At that moment, Chester lay on the ground, barely alive, covered in blood and looking like a bloody corpse.

Sid, who was watching nearby, shook his head in silence. Yet he knew this world worked that way—strength determined everything. Those who were weak could only end up like this, no matter their status.

“Alright, Chester, goodbye. It’s all over now!” Feeling that continuing was pointless, Fide flashed forward to Chester’s side, raised his divine weapon, and prepared to slice down—to sever Chester’s head and truly separate him from his body!

But just as he raised his sword to strike, suddenly, a pair of hands appeared out of thin air ahead—hands covered in golden dragon scales, hands filled with terrifying, violent strength—that blocked his sword’s blade and then gripped it tightly.

“What is this?!” Sid, who was touching the array artifact taken from Chester, looked up at the scene and, like Fide, changed color. Then he stared in disbelief at the owner of those hands.

“The Yellow Dragon!” The two exclaimed in unison in shock.

The Yellow Dragon! It was indeed the Yellow Dragon!

Neither of them expected the person to appear to be the Yellow Dragon—the one they least wanted to encounter!

Their shocked cries stirred the last vestiges of consciousness in Chester, who lay on the ground. Straining to open his eyes, he saw through his narrowed slits the familiar figure standing in front of him. The sunlight was soft, and the shadow cast by that figure on the ground lay right beside him, bringing warmth and hope to his once-desperate heart.

“Yellow, Yellow, Brother Yellow Dragon!” Chester forced a smile, then uttered those words with his last bit of strength before collapsing. Yet even as he fell, a joyful expression remained on his face.

Yellow Dragon stared at Chester’s pitiful state, his face filled with coldness. He turned around, his eyes brimming with murderous intent, and a terrifying aura swirled around him like a storm, rising high into the sky. A dragon shadow appeared behind him.

“You bastards!” Yellow Dragon said slowly, his expression icy. As he spoke, the dragon shadow behind him let out an angry roar. Yellow Dragon reached out with his left hand toward Faid.

From the moment Yellow Dragon appeared to block the attack to his furious murderous intent, it was all in the blink of an eye. Faid realized this and was shocked. He channeled all his divine power desperately. His divine sword emitted a buzzing sound, and blue light flared as he tried to break free from Yellow Dragon’s grip. At the same time, he reached out with his left hand and collided violently with Yellow Dragon.

Boom!

A loud explosion erupted, with swirling energy sweeping across tens of thousands of miles of land. Rocks were blown away, and dust filled the air as Faid was sent flying. It took him tens of thousands of miles to stabilize himself, his pale face filled with shock and even terror.

It was only through that brief clash that he truly realized Yellow Dragon’s terrifying strength—such immense power!

Now, his entire left arm was numb, almost painful. Even though his water-based divine power had recovered, it still didn’t help much.

He then looked at Yellow Dragon’s right hand, which held his sword. There were no signs of damage on the sword. How could his top-tier, ninth-grade divine sword fail to pierce through the other man’s physical defenses?!

After being sent flying, Faid quickly rushed to Sid’s side.

“Brother Sid, although Yellow Dragon is strong, if we work together, we can definitely kill him!” Faid said.

Sid nodded solemnly. It seemed there was no other choice now.

But could the two of them really kill Yellow Dragon?!

Logically, both of them were at the peak of the Seventh Level of the King of the Underworld. With their secret techniques and divine weapons, they should be able to defeat even those at the early to middle stages of the Eighth Level. But he had no confidence in killing Yellow Dragon.

After knocking Faid away with one strike, Yellow Dragon didn’t pursue him. Instead, he waved his hands, releasing a wave of divine energy that enveloped Chester. Then, he used the Wind-Flame Dragon Phoenix to take Chester to the side.

“Master, shall I step in and kill these two kids?” Greg asked Yellow Dragon.

Yellow Dragon shook his head, then glared coldly at Faid and the others. “This is my business!”

Seeing this, Greg could only watch alongside the Wind-Flame Dragon Phoenix.

“That middle-aged man looks familiar?” It was then that Sid noticed the brightly dressed middle-aged man behind Huang Long.
“Among the three hundred descendants of the Six Great Families, I don’t recall this person,” Fei De also looked puzzled. He naturally knew all of the three hundred descendants of the Six Great Families.
But if this middle-aged man wasn’t one of them, how did he get in? And how could Huang Long’s mount also enter?! What was going on here?
Although the Land of Forgetfulness allowed the descendants of the Six Great Families to enter, only they themselves could go in—their mounts couldn’t accompany them.
However, there was no time for them to overthink things now. At that moment, Huang Long raised its head and roared, golden clouds swirling around its body. In a flash, it transformed into its true dragon form and charged forward.
Seeing this, Fei De didn’t hesitate either and immediately transformed into his own dragon form—a green dragon, though its power was far weaker than Huang Long’s.
At the same time, Sid also transformed into Bi Yue Wu from the Gibran family. Spreading its wings, it held a huge black moon above its black head, causing the surrounding space to crackle with energy.
Both of them were strong, and together, their combined power seemed no less formidable than Huang Long’s.
The three engaged in a fierce battle. The space trembled, rocks flew into the air, and the weather changed.
“Is this the master’s full strength? Is the master really just a peak-level Seventh Rank King of the Underworld?!” Watching Huang Long and the other two fighting fiercely, with Huang Long constantly forcing Fei De and Sid back, Greg asked in astonishment.
Although Huang Long was the strongest in this competition, he could see that Fei De and Sid were also at the peak of the Seventh Rank King of the Underworld. No matter how strong Huang Long was, it seemed impossible for it to defeat them together. That’s why he had asked Huang Long not to kill Fei De and Sid.
“Lord Greg, hehe, this is certainly not the master’s full strength!” Fenghuo Longlin, who was nearby, didn’t dare ignore Greg’s question and replied.
“Not?” Greg glanced at Fenghuo Longlin. At that moment, two loud thuds were heard. Turning around, he saw Fei De and Sid knocked to the ground by a single strike from Huang Long.
Fei De and Sid got up from the ground, exchanged a look, both filled with shock. As if telepathically connected, they flew away in the same direction simultaneously.
“Everything isn’t over yet!” Huang Long coldly watched Fei De and Sid flee. Then, with a thought, more than two thousand copies of itself blocked their path.

“Two, over two thousand gods? God avatars?!” On Phaedo, Sid and the others stared in shock at the over two thousand manifestations of the Yellow Dragon around them, not knowing where they were. Nearby, Greg let out a shrill scream, his body suddenly trembling as he plummeted from great heights.
