Chapter 0269: Second Brother, There’s a Beauty Looking for You
Huang Long said a few words to the Huang family members before soaring through the clouds toward hell. Two days later, he arrived at the desolate island by the Sea of Death in hell.
Over a decade had passed, yet the island remained unchanged. “It was here that I tamed the Sky Blue Python Ox back then,” Huang Long said as he arrived at the barren land where he had once tamed it, feeling a sense of nostalgia. The memory of competing with Princess Anlei of the Hellish Demons for the Sky Blue Python Ox, and eventually using the Group of Immortals Pavilion to subdue it here, was still vivid in his mind.
After walking around the barren land, Huang Long vanished in a flash and appeared atop a high mountain. He used the EarthEarthEarth technique technique to enter an alternate space below. As soon as he entered, a stench filled the air, and the ground was covered in rotten mud. When Huang Long arrived at the altar covering dozens of miles square and landed, the stone coffins were still there as before, silent for thousands of years.
Huang Long approached one of the stone coffins, about to open it to see what was inside, when suddenly the ground trembled. Turning around, he saw the same Hellish Ghost Roc from the peak of the Sacred Realm. The roc, its entire body wreathed in eerie green flames, spread its wings as a powerful aura washed over him. It let out a roar that echoed through the air.
“Human, is it you?! I remember your aura!” The Hellish Ghost Roc glared coldly at Huang Long after emerging.
Over a decade ago, Huang Long had been here. Although his appearance had changed greatly over those years, the roc still remembered his aura. It was this human who had once caused it great losses.
“I can’t believe you still dare to come back,” the Hellish Ghost Roc said as it stepped closer to Huang Long. Though it didn’t take Huang Long seriously, it remained vigilant.
“Little Roc, long time no see,” Huang Long said with a faint smile as he looked at the creature.
“Little Roc?!” The Hellish Ghost Roc roared in outrage at being called that by Huang Long. Its green flames flared even brighter. How dare this insignificant human call it “little Roc”? Unforgivable!
With a roar of fury, the Hellish Ghost Roc opened its mouth and spat out necrotic hellfire, intending to burn this human to ashes.
Seeing this, Huang Long remained calm. He raised his hands, bent his fingers, and under the shocked gaze of the roc, all the necrotic hellfire gathered in his palms, eventually forming a green-lit fireball.
“How… how is this possible?!” the Hellish Ghost Roc exclaimed in shock.
To easily gather its own necrotic hellfire into a ball with just one hand—even ordinary gods of the Divine Realm couldn’t do such a thing!
“Little Peng Bird, how about that? Want to fight again?” Huang Long smiled indifferently.
This time, the Hellish Ghost Giant Peng Bird wasn’t angry like before but looked at Huang Long with awe.
Given the strength Huang Long had shown earlier, it would be easy to kill it. Realizing this, the Hellish Ghost Giant Peng Bird began to retreat, its massive legs causing tremors on the ground. Then, it spread its wings and tried to fly away.
Seeing the bird about to escape, Huang Long didn’t move either. Instead, he uttered a single word: “Stop!”
The Hellish Ghost Giant Peng Bird was shocked to find itself frozen mid-air, unable to move or fall. What kind of law was this?!
Space?!
Stabilizing space? Of course not—it was just a paralyzing technique. With Huang Long’s current celestial strength, even ordinary lower-tier gods would be frozen in place.
After freezing the Hellish Ghost Giant Peng Bird, Huang Long used one hand to pull it back to the ground. With a flick of his finger, the bird was sent flying backward, shaking the ground violently.
After a long while, the Hellish Ghost Giant Peng Bird staggered to its feet, staring at Huang Long with a face full of terror.
“Are, are you a god-tier powerhouse?!” it stammered.
A god-tier powerhouse? Huang Long didn’t deny it.
With Huang Long’s confirmation, the Hellish Ghost Giant Peng Bird was too scared to think of escaping again. It stood there, trembling, waiting for Huang Long to speak.
“Who created this Otherworldly Demon King Temple?” Seeing that the bird had become obedient, Huang Long was too lazy to use his divine sense to search its mind and asked directly.
“I don’t know,” the Hellish Ghost Giant Peng Bird said, shaking its huge bird head.
Didn’t know? Huang Long was surprised.
Through his Mind-Reading ability, he realized the bird wasn’t lying.
“What about the origin of the Nether Divine Tree?” Huang Long asked further.
The Nether Divine Tree absorbed divine power and divine essences. Even by Huang Long’s standards, it was defyingly powerful. He had always wanted to understand its origin.
“I don’t know,” the bird replied again, shaking its head.
Huang Long frowned.
Seeing his expression, the Hellish Ghost Giant Peng Bird hurriedly added, “I’m telling the truth. I don’t know anything about this place. All I know is that my task here is to protect everything, including the Nether Divine Tree. As for its origin and everything else, I have no memory of it.”
Huang Long fell into deep thought. He hadn’t expected that even this Little Peng Bird didn’t know the origin of the Netherworld Divine Tree. After a while, Huang Long turned around and approached a stone coffin. He raised his hands and slammed them down forcefully. Yet just as he did so, all the stone coffins suddenly glowed, and a mysterious seal appeared, blocking Huang Long’s strike. The stone coffins remained unmoved! Huang Long stepped back, exclaiming in surprise—was this a magical restriction? The fact that these stone coffins were equipped with magical restrictions was completely beyond Huang Long’s expectations. Moreover, these restrictions had blocked his attack. “This definitely wasn’t set up by an ordinary divine-level powerhouse. It must be a higher deity—could it be the one who created this alternate space?!” Huang Long’s eyes were filled with shock and doubt. He had already suspected that the creator of this alternate space possessed the strength of a higher deity. After pondering for a moment, Huang Long activated his Heaven-Penetrating Divine Vision to see what was inside the stone coffins. Yet again, the magical restrictions blocked his view, preventing him from seeing inside. With a sudden idea, Huang Long drew out his Immortal-Slaying Sword and swung it downward. A dark blue sword glow flashed like a rainbow, and with a hum, the restrictions reappeared on top of the stone coffins. But to Huang Long’s surprise, even this strike from the Immortal-Slaying Sword was blocked. Huang Long’s expression changed slightly. Could it be the Supreme God?! Even if these magical restrictions were set up by a higher deity, they should have been broken by the Immortal-Slaying Sword. But now they were still blocking it—what did that mean?! It could only be the Supreme God, or even a deity beyond that! After a while, Huang Long had no choice but to retract his Immortal-Slaying Sword back into his body. In the end, he even tried using Soul Search on the Ghost Giant Peng Bird, but still couldn’t discover anything about this place. The Ghost Giant Peng Bird had no memory of this alternate space at all. “It seems someone who specialized in soul manipulation erased its related memories,” Huang Long thought to himself. “That person must be the one who created this alternate space.” After a while, Huang Long snapped out of his thoughts and looked at the huge stone door in the center of the altar. What lay behind this massive stone door? Where did it lead? Huang Long had a vague feeling that what was behind the door was nothing simple. He flew over to the huge stone door and tried to push it with the power of the Immortal Spirit. But just like the stone coffins, the door remained completely immovable. Huang Long’s eyes flickered. Half an hour later, Huang Long reappeared on the desert island. This time, he had come here to uncover the secrets of the Demon King’s Temple and find out the origin of the Netherworld Divine Tree. But after leaving the alternate space, he felt depressed, with even greater confusion in his heart.
If this other dimension was created by some supreme god or even the ultimate deity, then why does it lead to this mortal realm? Could it just be a coincidence?
Huang Long shook his head and eventually vanished into the Sea of Death as a streak of light.
Two days later, Huang Long returned to Chishui Island.
“Second brother, second brother!” As soon as Huang Long returned to the imperial palace of the Sihai Empire on Chishui Island, his fourth sister Huang Yi followed closely behind, her face full of joy.
Huang Long smiled faintly and asked, “Girl, what’s the matter?”
As soon as he spoke, Huang Yi pouted, clearly dissatisfied with being called “girl” by Huang Long.
“Alright, fourth sister, go on, what’s the matter?” Huang Long said helplessly.
Only then did Huang Yi’s expression turn cheerful. She stepped forward and whispered with a smile, “Second brother, there’s a beautiful woman looking for you.”
“A beautiful woman?” Huang Long was surprised.
Huang Yi giggled sweetly.
“It’s a beautiful woman from the Phoenix Clan,” she said after stopping laughing, her face charming as she blinked.
“A beautiful woman from the Phoenix Clan?” Huang Long was puzzled.
“Alright, I’m not playing anymore. It’s not fun at all. It’s Sister Nicole from the Phoenix Clan who’s looking for you,” Huang Yi said frankly, her interest waning as she saw Huang Long didn’t understand.
Nicole? That Nicole from the Phoenix Clan whom he had saved from Dragon Emperor Fli. Now Huang Long remembered her.
This Nicole was Nicole Simp, the daughter of Belin. What could she want from him?
“Second brother, you’re so silly. Ever since you left for Tianyun, Sister Nicole has often come to Chishui Island, saying she wanted to thank you for saving her life. But everyone can tell that Sister Nicole has feelings for you,” Huang Yi said with a smile, lowering her voice slightly as she added, “Father and Mother also really like Sister Nicole.” At this, Huang Yi giggled.
“What else did they say?” Huang Long asked jokingly.
“Ugh, second brother, you’re asking on purpose. I’m not telling you anymore. Sister Nicole is currently in Ningzi Palace with Father and Mother. Let’s go there,” Huang Yi said before pulling Huang Long toward Ningzi Palace.
Huang Long smiled helplessly and let the girl pull him along.
When they arrived at Ningzi Palace, Nicole was sitting inside with Huang Xiong and Zhao Rong, talking about something. Whatever Nicole said made Huang Xiong and Zhao Rong laugh happily.
“Longer, you’ve come,” Huang Xiong and Zhao Rong stood up upon seeing Huang Long, their smiles still on their faces.
After greeting Huang Xiong, Zhao Rong, and Huang Long, Nicole finally blushed and lowered her head, her voice barely audible: “V-elder Huang Long!”
“What Yellow Dragon Senior, Nicole Sister? I already said, just call me Second Brother or Dragon Brother!” Huang Yi suddenly interjected with a smile, stretching out the word “Dragon Brother”. Huang Xiong and Zhao Rong exchanged glances, both seeing the smile on each other’s faces.
