Chapter 0131: The Revival of the Dragon God?
The Yellow Dragon did not go far. After fighting against Dragon Emperor Felix earlier, its vital energy surged violently. After disappearing through stealth, it remained inside the Dragon Palace. It waited until Dragon Emperor and the others left before reappearing, swallowing a pill to suppress the surging energy within its body.
With the energy under control, the Yellow Dragon flew out of the palace. Now, it intended to use its great power to move the entire Dragon Palace into the Immortal Pavilion. It channeled all its vital energy, roared loudly, stretched out its claws, and pushed forward. As it did so, electric sparks spread throughout the space, forming a network of electricity.
“Lift!” the Yellow Dragon growled. The entire Dragon Palace began to tremble as it was lifted off the ground. But then, the Yellow Dragon suddenly froze in shock—its strength, enough to lift even a mountain, was not sufficient to lift this vast palace? Though it had expected the Sun Star Stone to be heavy, it was still surprised. It channeled all its vital energy again, converting the spiritual energy absorbed from the Netherworld Divine Tree into magical power. Two sharp beams of light shot from its eyes: “Lift it now!”
Finally, the Dragon Palace rose slowly from the ground. At that moment, the Yellow Dragon’s expression changed drastically—Dragon Emperor Felix and the others had returned!
“Borg, activate the Immortal Pavilion array at full strength!”
There was no room for error now. Borg and the others replied respectfully before flying to the center of the array, channeling their magic and combat energy. At the same time, with a thought from the Yellow Dragon, the thousands of Asuras guarding the palace also joined in, activating the array at full force.
Immediately, the Immortal Pavilion emitted a low hum, with waves of energy radiating out, flowing into the Yellow Dragon’s meridians and then into its dantian. Its power surged once more, accelerating the rise of the Immortal Pavilion, which was soon lifted by the Yellow Dragon.
When Dragon Emperor Felix’s figure appeared in the underground space and came into view, a beam of light shot from the Immortal Pavilion. Then, the Dragon Palace turned into a golden light and was absorbed inside.
Roar! At that moment, Dragon Emperor Felix’s attack arrived. In the Yellow Dragon’s eyes, four giant dragon claws grew larger and larger, while the surrounding space froze, with air pressure increasing sharply. It felt as though mountains were pressing in from all directions.
Dragon Emperor Felix’s huge red eyes spat flames, filled with murderous intent. The air in the entire underground space was chaotic and trembling, on the verge of collapsing under his next strike.
The Dragon Emperor had already revealed his dragon form. The power of his single strike caused the heavens and earth to change, and it was also evident just how furious he was. Seeing this, the Yellow Dragon had nowhere to retreat. With a roar, it launched a fierce attack. “Five Peaks Qi Gang!” With its strike, the air around the Yellow Dragon seemed to solidify into five mountains, which then collided violently with the Dragon Emperor Fei Li’s strike. Boom! Boom! Loud crashes echoed from the underground space, far more intense than the previous strikes between the Yellow Dragon and the Dragon Emperor. The ground shook violently again, and the cave walls hundreds of feet above finally cracked. Rocks kept falling—first from the upper cave walls, then from those around them. The residual force from the clash between the Yellow Dragon and the Dragon Emperor continued to shake the underground space violently. It shook even more violently. “Bad! Your Majesty, the Dragon Emperor, the underground space is about to collapse!” Oudo and the others who arrived later exclaimed in shock. With his strike, the Yellow Dragon vanished, disappearing completely. Gone again! The Dragon Emperor Fei Li was filled with rage and anger. Ignoring the collapsing underground space, he extended his four claws again, leaving four massive claw marks as they swept through the space where the Yellow Dragon had stood. Yet, to his disappointment, there was no response this time—only the roaring echoes caused by his powerful strike. The underground space finally collapsed. In an instant, the Dragon Emperor Fei Li, along with the dragon clan elders like Oudo, flew out of the underground space. Looking at the collapsed space, the Dragon Emperor Fei Li couldn’t help but roar, his voice shaking the heavens and echoing throughout the cave for miles. The body of the Dragon God had been taken, and now even the Dragon Palace had been seized, leaving nothing behind. On this journey to the Continent of Gods, his dragon clan hadn’t even gotten a sip of soup. In the Dragon Palace, the body of the Dragon God was the most important, but there must have been other treasures as well—perhaps divine artifacts or divine essences hidden somewhere in the palace. But now! The Dragon Emperor Fei Li’s chest heaved as he roared, “You wretched scoundrel! Don’t make me find you!” “I, the Dragon Emperor Fei Li, swear I will destroy your entire clan!” Find him? Far away, dozens of miles away, the Yellow Dragon used its divine hearing ability to listen to the Dragon Emperor Fei Li’s rage and sneered. Since he hadn’t used any of the mystical techniques or magical artifacts he had shown to others during the battle, he wasn’t worried that the Dragon Emperor Fei Li would guess it was him. In the eyes of the Dragon Emperor and the others, the one who took the body of the Dragon God and the Dragon Palace was just a burly middle-aged man—a man who didn’t even exist in this world.
Using EarthEarthEarth Style -> Earth Style, he emerged from the ground and arrived at the dark cave once again. With a cold sneer, Huang Long channeled all his vital energy and slammed down the Sky-Shrouding Great Hand Seal. With a thunderous roar, countless rocks tumbled downward, and the entire dark cave collapsed.
After the Sky-Shrouding Great Hand Seal, he used the Purple Thunder Sky Blade, the Taiyi Divine Thunder. Finally, Huang Long even summoned the Thunder Gathering Vessel, unleashing the Divine Thunder of Gui Water, Bing Fire, Yi Wood, Wu Earth, Geng Metal, and the Five Elements Divine Thunder in a fierce barrage.
Within several miles around, the area was filled with an atmosphere of chaotic destruction.
“Stay inside there for ten days or half a month!”
“Destroy my entire clan? This is just the beginning!”
After completing all this, Huang Long took to the air and flew away. He could easily imagine how furious the Dragon Emperor and the others trapped in the dark cave would be. Sure enough, not long after, angry roars from beneath the ground reached him, their furious voices audible for miles above ground.
Hearing this, Huang Long sneered as he flew further away.
A few hours later, he arrived at a cave in a mountain cliff. He set up several defensive and trapping arrays around it, then swallowed a pill and used his vital energy to rest and recuperate.
For the final blow, the Dragon Emperor Fei Li transformed into his dragon form and launched a full-force attack, severely injuring Huang Long.
Sitting in the cave, Huang Long practiced the “Water-Fire Primordial Dragon Art.” Streams of spiritual energy converged from heaven and earth, and gradually, two dragons of water and fire appeared around him, circling endlessly.
While he was resting and breathing in this way, astonishing changes took place inside the Immortals Pavilion.
After Huang Long brought the Dragon Palace into the Immortals Pavilion and placed it at its center, the Netherworld Divine Tree began to tremble as he practiced the “Water-Fire Primordial Dragon Art.” Green light pulsed around it. Then, crystals resembling gemstones flew out of the Immortals Pavilion—some pale yellow, some light green—each about the size of a baby’s fist.
These crystals were the divine essences hidden within the Dragon Palace.
After flying out of the Dragon Palace, they circled the Netherworld Divine Tree, which seemed to have an invisible force drawing them around it.
Gradually, gases began to emanate from the surfaces of these divine essences. If any godly beings were present, they would exclaim that this was divine power!
As this divine power radiated from the essences, it was absorbed by the roots of the Netherworld Divine Tree and seeped into its trunk. The tree grew at an astonishing rate—20 meters, 21 meters, 23 meters. Eventually, when all the divine essences turned to dust, the Netherworld Divine Tree had reached over 30 meters in height.
These dozen or so divine essences caused the Netherworld Divine Tree to grow an additional dozen meters. Upon closer inspection, one could see that dozens of flowers had bloomed among the tree’s leaves—delicate, but undeniably real flowers. Each flower had a different color, just like the dozen or so divine essences that had disappeared earlier: red, earthy yellow, purple, and so on. Bog and the others also watched in astonishment as the Netherworld Divine Tree underwent these changes. Soon after, the Yellow Dragon woke up as well, though it was awakened by a roar. After stopping the operation of his cultivation techniques, the Yellow Dragon focused his mind and saw a phantom dragon shadow floating inside the Immortals’ Pavilion—this phantom shadow was identical to the true dragon. Had the Dragon God been revived? Of course not. “The Dragon Soul,” said the Yellow Dragon, then, with a thought, his essence entered the Immortals’ Pavilion. Earlier, he had been too busy taking away the Dragon God’s body to investigate thoroughly, so he hadn’t realized that the Dragon God still had a trace of a Dragon Soul—though this trace was nothing but a remnant. “Who are you? Where is this?” asked the dragon shadow floating above the main hall of the Immortals’ Pavilion, looking at the Yellow Dragon. Angus only knew that he seemed to have slept for a very long time, and now he had suddenly been awakened by a divine force. The Yellow Dragon replied, “This is the Eternal Origin Realm.” “The Eternal Origin Realm!” Angus trembled in shock, as if plunged into some ancient memory—filled with pain, sorrow, and resentment. “So, I’m still in the Eternal Origin Realm!” It was only after a long while that Angus’s voice was heard again. Bog and the others stared in shock at all this, stepping behind the Yellow Dragon, opening their mouths but not knowing what to ask. “You’re from the Eternal Origin Realm, right?” Angus spoke to the Yellow Dragon and the others, then glanced at the Dragon God’s body lying on the ground. “Have you come to retrieve my body?” “That’s right,” replied the Yellow Dragon calmly. Angus let out a sigh. “Human, I believe you can see that this is just a remnant of me—something that will disappear soon. Before I die, I want to ask you for a favor,” said Angus. “Of course, it depends on your willingness. I know that in my current state, I can’t demand anything from you.” The Yellow Dragon pondered for a moment. “Go ahead.” Next, instead of speaking, Angus emitted a flash of light that rushed toward the Yellow Dragon. Just as Bog and the others were about to act, the Yellow Dragon raised his hand to stop it. That flash of light entered the Yellow Dragon’s mind. It contained all of Angus’s life’s memories. “If you ever have the chance to enter the Netherworld, please convey my apologies to Anlise. I, Angus, am sorry to her.” As he said this, Angus’s face was filled with sorrow.
“Okay.” After reading the memory fragments of Angus, Yellow Dragon nodded.
