Chapter 0052: The Demon King’s Temple

The mountain towering high in the center of the desert island seemed close, but in reality, it was quite far away. Even Huang Long, riding on the Sky Blue Python Ox, took half an hour to reach it.
In mid-air, Huang Long used his divine sense to get a rough idea of the island’s size. When they first landed, he hadn’t realized how large it was, but now he found it to cover nearly a thousand square miles—almost as large as some small duchies on the Hengyuan Continent. Suspended above the sea, it was like a small landmass in the ocean, with an area no smaller than those duchies.
The mountain was extremely high and huge. The more Bog and the two beasts approached it, the more this feeling grew. Even on the Hengyuan Continent, such towering peaks were rare.
When they reached the summit, the Sky Blue Python Ox landed and waited quietly for Huang Long to speak.
Although they had been together for only a short time, it could sense the reverence that Bog and the two powerful warriors from the Three Sacred Realms felt toward its master on its back. Influenced by Bog and the two beasts, it unconsciously began to revere Huang Long, its new master. Yet it was puzzled—how could this newly recognized master make those three powerful warriors willing to follow and revere him so much?
Standing on the mountain peak, clouds drifted by.
They were hellish clouds, pale gray in color with a faint black mist.
Bog and the two beasts stood behind Huang Long, emitting a strong aura, but nothing unusual was detected. Noticing their confusion, Huang Long remained silent. He extended his divine sense infinitely, until it reached a depth of a thousand feet beneath the mountain. Suddenly, his sense seemed to encounter some force that sent it bouncing back.
Beneath the ground! Huang Long sensed the source of that force. But when he tried to find a path down, his expression turned solemn—there was no way in!
“It seems I can only use the Earthescape technique to go down,” Huang Long thought to himself.
So, he sent Bog and the three beasts into the Group of Immortals Pavilion within his forehead’s spiritual aperture, then used the Earthescape technique to enter the depths of the mountain.
As he descended, Huang Long’s expression grew increasingly grave.
When he reached a depth of a thousand feet, his body sank slightly, and then he arrived in a space.
The walls of this space were cold and gloomy, and the ground emitted a putrid smell. Occasionally, small pools of water could be seen—black as ink, with bubbles rising from them. At first glance, there was no sign of life; everything was desolate and lifeless.
“Is this the so-called alternate space?” Huang Long wondered as he entered this space.
In the Divine Wind Academy’s library, Huang Long had read legends about alternate spaces. On the Hengyuan Continent, once one broke through the Sacred Realm and reached the Divine Realm, they could create an independent space by understanding the laws of space.

This space exists within this world yet is independent of it, which is why it is called an alternate space.
“This is an alternate space!” exclaimed Tianqing Python Ox, one of the fierce bulls in the Group of Immortals Pavilion within the ancestral aperture between their brows.
In the Group of Immortals Pavilion, they could see the outside world.
The Yellow Dragon slowly descended, stopping about a foot above the ground. With a flash from its ancestral aperture, Borg and the three beasts emerged.
Upon stepping outside, Borg, Piel, and Endi also stared in shock at this space.
Though they were ancient beings who had lived for hundreds or thousands of years, this was their first time seeing an alternate space.
“Let’s move forward and take a look,” said the Yellow Dragon, leaping onto Tianqing Python Ox’s back and pointing ahead.
This alternate space seemed quite large—so large that even the Yellow Dragon’s divine sense could not detect its edges. It was clearly much bigger than the desert island above.
From ancient books in the Divine Wind Academy’s library, the Yellow Dragon learned that space created by lower-tier divine realm powerhouses usually covered only a few square miles at most. Therefore, the divine realm powerhouse who created this space must be a mid-tier god, or even an upper-tier god or the Supreme God.
As they moved forward, the ground was covered in damage, seemingly caused by some corrosive substance.
After flying for hundreds of miles, a building gradually appeared ahead.
This made the group, which had only seen bubbles and black soil along the way, light up with excitement. Soon, as they got closer, Borg and the three beasts gasped in awe.
It was a sacrificial altar of unknown height!
The Yellow Dragon estimated that the altar might cover dozens of square miles!
Apart from the altar, there was nothing else around—it seemed as if this space contained only that altar.
When they arrived in front of the altar and looked up at it, they still couldn’t hide their shock.
Tianqing Python Ox was the largest among the three beasts, standing over twenty zhang tall, but in front of this altar, it appeared like a tiny creature.
The altar had no steps on any side and was as smooth as a mirror. Even the Yellow Dragon couldn’t tell what material it was made of. If they wanted to climb up, there was only one way: to fly up.
“Let’s go up,” said the Yellow Dragon slowly.
When they floated up and landed on the altar, they discovered that countless stone coffins were placed there—so many that they were densely packed, with one every ten meters or so.
Tens of thousands? Or hundreds of thousands?
The Yellow Dragon focused his gaze on the center of the altar and saw a stone door hundreds of meters high and wide. Above the door’s lintel were four strangely shaped characters.

“The Demon King’s Temple!” Tianqing Python Ox recognized that these four characters as ancient demon clan script.
“The Demon King’s Temple?” Bog, Piel, and Endi were puzzled; they had never heard of it.
The Yellow Dragon also had no memory of it. In the historical records from the Divine Wind Library covering tens of thousands of years of history on the Hengyuan Continent, there was no mention of the Demon King’s Temple.
However, what truly caught the Yellow Dragon’s attention was the tree in the center of the altar.
Amidst a mass of white spiritual energy, there was a patch of green. The tree was over ten meters tall, its roots like white jade, and its trunk was small enough to be embraced by one person. The entire tree exuded a sacred aura, standing out sharply against the dead, decaying darkness around it.
Earlier, the terrifying sucking force that had consumed everything was emitted from this tree. Moreover, the tree’s life energy was surging like a tide; the closer the Yellow Dragon got, the stronger it felt that immense life energy.
“What kind of tree is this? Its life energy is so powerful!” The Yellow Dragon was shocked inwardly. Even during his previous life spanning hundreds of millions of years, he had only seen life energies from innate spiritual roots like the Ginseng Fruit Tree, Bodhi Tree, Gourd Tree, Peach Tree, and Yellow Plum Tree to be stronger than this one.
While the strength of this tree’s life energy shocked the Yellow Dragon, its terrifying sucking force made him feel extremely strange.
As the Yellow Dragon approached the sacred tree, ready to claim it, suddenly, space trembled violently, and the altar shook. Turning his head, he saw a colossal creature slowly walking toward them.
It was a super giant undead creature!
“That’s a Hellish Ghost Giant Roc!” Bog exclaimed in disbelief, never expecting to see such a fearsome creature from legends of hell here!
The Hellish Ghost Giant Roc was hundreds of feet tall, its entire body wreathed in dark green flames. When it spread its wings, they stretched hundreds of meters long. Its powerful aura pressed down, making it difficult for Bog and the three beasts to breathe.
The pinnacle of the sacred realm! Bog and the three beasts exchanged terrified looks.
