Chapter 0030: Huang Xiong’s Fury
“Explain? Hehe, Old Bear Huang, do I really need to explain to you?” Du Dongnan sneered, emitting a presence no less formidable than Huang Xiong’s.
With a buzzing sound, their intense auras collided, causing the air in the space to hiss.
Although Du Dongnan was not the head of theHill family, as the leader of the King’s Capital Law Enforcement Corps, his cultivation was on par with his brother Du Luos—both were peak-level Level 8 warriors, just one step away from reaching Level 9.
“Old Bear Huang, tell your son to be more careful from now on. If anything goes wrong, don’t blame me for not warning you,” Du Dongnan snorted before turning to his guards, “Let’s go.” With that, he prepared to leave.
“Nobody leaves!” Huang Xiong roared fiercely, his face filled with rage as he threw a punch at Du Dongnan.
Accompanied by pale yellow combat energy, a violent gust of force rushed forward.
Du Dongnan instantly turned and countered with a punch of his own. Red light from their combat energies clashed in a loud boom, creating a fierce vortex that sent the floor around the hall rising and wooden chairs and stone tables flying.
Both Huang Xiong and Du Dongnan stepped back several dozen feet, shocked inwardly.
Hearing the commotion, the Huang family’s guards rushed toward the hall, their footsteps growing louder.
Hearing their approaching footsteps, a mocking smile appeared on Du Dongnan’s slightly plump face. “I ask, Old Bear Huang, do you really intend to keep me here?”
As the leader of the King’s Capital Law Enforcement Corps, his status in the kingdom was no lower than Huang Xiong’s as the leader of the Thunder Eagle Legion. He truly didn’t believe Huang Xiong would dare keep him.
Huang Xiong glared angrily, about to speak, when Zhao Rong pulled him aside. “Brother Xiong,” she said, gently shaking his head to urge him not to act impulsively.
Seeing this, Huang Xiong took a deep breath, suppressing his anger, and ordered his guards, “Let them go!”
Du Dongnan chuckled triumphantly, looking around the hall before staring at Huang Long and sneering, “Kid, good luck to you. Better not let me run into you again, or else…” With that, he sneered and left the hall with his guards.
Borg, standing behind Huang Long, was furious and ready to act, but Huang Long raised a hand to signal that he needn’t intervene.
Killing Du Dongnan was a matter of moments for Huang Long, but he didn’t want to get the Huang family into trouble over it. It wouldn’t hurt to let him live a little longer.
However, although he wouldn’t kill Du Dongnan for now, it wouldn’t hurt to extract some revenge.
Huang Long watched Du Dongnan, who was somewhat obese, turn around and walk away, a smirk on his lips. With a subtle flick of his right hand, he sent a blast of innate true fire at him. He could already imagine what Du Dongnan would experience once he reached the main street. Today seemed to be a market day; the street must be very busy, Huang Long thought to himself. After Du Dongnan left, Huang Xiong stood in the hall, his face ashen. “This is too much!” Huang Xiong slammed his palm down, leaving a half-foot-deep imprint in the ground. The guards around him fell silent, but none dared speak—without Huang Xiong’s order, no one could leave. “Alright, disperse. Remember, don’t talk about what happened today. If discovered, there will be family punishment!” Zhao Rong snapped at the guards coldly after a while. “Yes, madam,” they replied in unison before scattering in fear. Silence reigned in the hall. The two younger boys, Huang Liang and Huang Yi, also hid nervously behind their second brother, Huang Long. They feared their father, Huang Xiong, the most—especially after seeing the deep palm print in the ground. They covered their bottoms in fear, recalling how Huang Xiong often spanked them when they made mistakes. Thinking of being spanked, they glanced enviously at their second brother, as they had never seen their father spank him before. “You two, come here,” Huang Xiong’s voice rang out. His murderous gaze still lingered as he looked at Huang Liang and Huang Yi hiding behind Huang Long. The two boys certainly wouldn’t go—their father was furious; going now would only mean more punishment. Their bottoms weren’t even as thick as the floor. They shook their heads violently and hid even tighter behind Huang Long, not daring to look at Huang Xiong. This only made Huang Xiong angrier. Seeing Huang Long protecting the two boys, he pointed at him and snapped, “You too, come here.” Come here? Huang Long rolled his eyes—absurd. Seeing this, Huang Xiong’s expression grew even darker. Then Zhao Rong interjected, “Enough. Why get angry at the children? Besides, Long and the others aren’t at fault this time.” Hearing their mother speak, the two boys poked their heads out from behind their brother and shouted, “That’s right!” But as soon as they met their father’s fierce gaze, they quickly retreated. “Let’s go,” Huang Long said to Bo Ge once things settled. As they left the hall, Huang Long muttered to himself, “Du Dongnan? A mere pebble—worth such anger?” Huang Xiong and Zhao Rong stared blankly at their son’s retreating figure. Seeing their second brother leave, Huang Liang and Huang Yi quickly followed closely behind Huang Long and slipped out of the hall.
Returning to the courtyard, Bog couldn’t help but say, “Young master, I’ll go kill that little fat guy right now.”
Huang Long shook his head and said calmly, “There’s no rush.” Then he waved his hands and placed the fragrant meteorite iron he had purchased in the middle of the courtyard.
The courtyard instantly became much colder.
Huang Long pointed at the fragrant meteorite iron and said to Bog beside him, “Do you think this is really cold essence iron stone?” Under Bog’s wide-eyed stare, Huang Long opened his mouth and enveloped the fragrant meteorite iron in a ball of innate true fire.
After a while, the dark layer on the surface of the fragrant meteorite iron fell off, revealing an iron stone as clear as white jade.
Soft, enchanting fragrance began to spread.
Bog was astonished, “What is this?”
The drastic change in the originally dark iron stone already surprised him, but what surprised him even more was that the iron ore could emit a fragrance. He had never heard of such a thing before.
“This is fragrant meteorite iron, far better than the Sacred Realm Crystal Core. It’s normal you don’t recognize it,” said Huang Long.
Bog was shocked again. Although he didn’t know what kind of iron ore this was, even children on the Hengyuan Continent knew how precious the Sacred Realm Crystal Core was. Could this iron stone be even better than it?
Huang Long ignored the astonished Bog. With a thought, a golden light flashed in the ancestral aperture between his brows, and the Immortals Pavilion flew out. He intended to integrate the fragrant meteorite iron into the Immortals Pavilion.
By then, the Immortals Pavilion would surely be upgraded to a top-tier treasure, Huang Long thought to himself.
Meanwhile, Bog, still recovering from his shock at the fragrant meteorite iron, saw a pagoda the size of a courtyard flying out from Huang Long’s brows. He immediately froze in place.
He opened his mouth wide, staring at the pagoda floating in mid-air above the courtyard, then at Huang Long’s brows. No matter how he thought about it, he couldn’t imagine how Huang Long’s brows could conceal such a large pagoda.
This must be an illusion—definitely!
