Chapter 52: The Divine Calamity

Qu Yi returned to the Immortal Realm, arriving at the Youhan Sect and heading to the headquarters of the Tongzhou Hall.
By this time, Zhen Nantian had already reached the rank of One-Star Heavenly Soul Immortal. He quickly sensed Qu Yi’s arrival and woke up from his cultivation, rushing to Qu Yi’s side.
“Haha, Qu Yi! I’ve finally seen you again,” Zhen Nantian exclaimed joyfully upon arriving.
Over the years, thanks to the many cultivation resources provided by Qu Yi, Zhen Nantian had managed to reach this rank in just over ten thousand years. Naturally, he was even more grateful to Qu Yi now.
Qu Yi looked at Zhen Nantian, whose obese figure hadn’t changed at all, and smiled, saying, “Fatty, can’t you work on making your body look better? With your current appearance, I don’t even want to see you.”
Zhen Nantian’s smiling face instantly turned awkward; he didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
Qu Yi chuckled again and continued, “Well, now that the three realms are settled, the Immortal Realm, the Demon Realm, and the Monster Realm will all be under my control. From now on, I won’t meet up with you old friends anymore. Once I reach the rank of Higher Heavenly Soul Immortal, I’ll undergo the Divine Calamity and ascend to the Divine Realm. You should focus on your cultivation from now on.”
Hearing this, Zhen Nantian realized Qu Yi had come to say goodbye.
“Ah, Qu Yi! How can you be so heartless as to leave me behind?” Zhen Nantian cried out urgently, staring at Qu Yi until tears welled up in his eyes.
Qu Yi chuckled once more and then disappeared.
Soon after, Qu Yi went to the Demon Realm and the Monster Realm, talking with old friends like Long Huwei before retreating into seclusion.
Among the three realms, only Chang Xin still had some strength, but it was no longer a threat. Qu Yi had no intention of staying in the realms any longer; he wanted to focus solely on cultivation to reach the rank of Higher Heavenly Soul Immortal and then ascend to the Divine Realm.
The Divine Realm was the ultimate battleground for cultivators.

A hundred years later, all five of them had reached the rank of Higher Heavenly Soul Immortal.
With the power of faith from the cultivation world, soul orbs integrated into their souls, and the help of the “Divine Weapon Art,” their cultivation progressed at an astonishing rate. Finally, as Qu Yi had wished, they all reached the rank of Higher Heavenly Soul Immortal.
At this point, within Qu Yi’s dantian space, thirty planet worlds were arranged in a circle, and the number of elemental spirits inside had approached one hundred thousand.

The central Chaos Planet was also closely connected to the thirty surrounding planet worlds. Countless amounts of Chaos Energy flowed into these thirty planet worlds, linking each spirit entity one by one.
Qu Yi’s Soul Flower had now become extremely refined, reaching its ultimate state. As a result, Qu Yi’s strength was sufficient to trigger a Divine Calamity.
Similarly, after Wu Yuan consumed the bodies of various powerful beings at the Heavenly Soul Fiend level, all five soul orbs within the Soul Flower quickly awakened, allowing him to master the complete laws of the Five Elements. Thus, Wu Yuan could also endure a Divine Calamity.
Qing Wu Gui also had a smooth journey. He had already received the four soul orbs given by Qu Yi. Later, when Qu Yi entered the Meteor Domain Divine Realm, he found another person with a Wood Element soul body and obtained a green soul orb, giving Qing Wu Gui a total of five soul orbs. With these soul orbs and the hearts of the Five Elements, Qing Wu Gui grasped the laws of the Five Elements faster than Wu Yuan. Now, he had also reached the cultivation level of a Higher Heavenly Soul Demon.
Therefore, Qu Yi, Wu Yuan, and Qing Wu Gui had all advanced to the cultivation level of Higher Heavenly Soul Immortals.

At this moment, Qu Yi was lying on a soft chair inside the Dimension Sphere, looking at the Artifact God sitting on the chair beside him.
“Artifact God, I’m about to endure a Divine Calamity. Do you have any advice?” Qu Yi asked with a smile, his eyes filled with eagerness as he stared at the Artifact God.
After a while, the Artifact God turned to Qu Yi and said with a smile, “There are three waves of calamity thunder in total: the Human Punishment Thunder, the Earth Punishment Thunder, and the Heaven Punishment Thunder. These three waves correspond to the three layers of the Soul Flower—the Human Soul Layer, the Earth Soul Layer, and the Heaven Soul Layer. Within each of these waves, there lies chaotic soul electricity, a fierce energy. As long as you sense this fierce chaotic soul electricity, simply eliminate it.”
Qu Yi had actually seen the entire process of the Divine Calamity and had also sensed that fierce energy within the calamity thunder—it turned out to be called chaotic soul electricity. It seemed that the harmful component in the calamity thunder was this chaotic soul electricity, capable of destroying the Soul Flower.
“Good, I understand. Then I’ll choose a time to endure the Divine Calamity together with Wu Yuan and Qing Wu Gui,” Qu Yi said with a smile.
Since there were only so few things to be cautious about, Qu Yi no longer needed to worry.
He then explained the process of the Divine Calamity to Wu Yuan and Qing Wu Gui. After waiting for a day to adjust his body and mind to their best state, he would be ready to face the Divine Calamity.
In a certain galaxy of the Immortal Realm, there were three desert planets clustered together. At that moment, Qu Yi, Wu Yuan, and Qing Wu Gui were on separate planets. The three of them decided to endure the Divine Calamity together today.

Beside Qu Yi, the Five Vessels were all present.
“This self, now we can return to our true form,” the Five Vessels said with a faint smile.
The Five Vessels were created by Qu Yi replicating his soul and refining five spiritual essences into five avatars. Thus, they shared the same soul as Qu Yi’s original self, and it was entirely possible for them to merge back into one body.
Since there was no conflict in their souls, and Qu Yi’s dantian space contained five planetary worlds, it could naturally accommodate the planetary worlds within the Five Vessels as well.
Qu Yi nodded and smiled faintly, “Let’s begin.”
The bodies of the Five Vessels sequentially entered Qu Yi’s body and disappeared. Qu Yi’s own body became even more majestic, as if a single swing of his hand could destroy a planet.
Soon, Qu Yi, Wu Yuan, and Qing Wu Gui simultaneously released their soul energies, summoning divine calamities.
Within moments, three vast clouds of calamity, each spanning hundreds of thousands of miles, appeared in the sky. These clouds were a mixture of gold, green, blue, red, and yellow—clearly indicating the coexistence of the five elements—corresponding to Qu Yi, Wu Yuan, and Qing Wu Gui practicing the laws of the five elements at the same time.
The calamity clouds churned with immense power.
Soon, the first bolt of lightning—the Human Punishment Lightning—fell.
Qu Yi raised his hands high, and streams of chaotic energy surged forth to resist the lightning. The chaotic energy acted like a filter, allowing only the beneficial components of the lightning to fall into Qu Yi’s mind, where they were absorbed by the human soul layer within his Soul Flower. The chaotic electrical energy in the lightning was directly melted and dispersed by the chaotic energy.
The chaotic energy was truly overwhelming.
Wu Yuan, who had merged five soul orbs and possessed the strongest soul realm among the three, did not try to resist the Human Punishment Lightning. Instead, he let it strike his head.
The chaotic electrical energy entered Wu Yuan’s soul space, arriving in haste and dissipating just as quickly, failing to reach the human soul layer.
Qing Wu Gui, facing the Human Punishment Lightning, immediately used the Heart of the Five Elements to harness the elemental energies in the surrounding space, transforming them into elemental spirits that met the descending lightning. Any chaotic electrical energy that appeared was blocked by these elemental spirits, while the beneficial components of the lightning all entered Qing Wu Gui’s Soul Flower.
All three of them easily passed through the Human Punishment Lightning.
The second bolt of lightning—the Earth Punishment Lightning—fell swiftly afterward.
With the experience from the Human Punishment Lightning, Qu Yi, Wu Yuan, and Qing Wu Gui appeared more relaxed, already having strategies to deal with it.

Qu Yi once again activated the chaotic energy, forming another vast “filter net” above his head that instantly filtered out all the powerful chaotic soul electricity. The beneficial components within the thunderstorm were absorbed by the Soul Layer of Qu Yi’s Soul Flower.

Wu Yuan symbolically summoned the Five Elements Spirits, which quickly eliminated the chaotic soul electricity. Although not all of it was removed, the remaining chaotic soul electricity could no longer enter Wu Yuan’s Soul Flower.

Qing Wu Gui remained unchanged. The Heart of the Five Elements drove the Five Elements Spirits to completely clear the chaotic soul electricity from the thunderstorm.

They also easily passed through the Earth Punishment Thunder.

For the third thunderstorm, the Heaven Punishment Thunder, the remaining energy in the sky suddenly contracted into a kilometer-sized mass with extremely concentrated energy, then rushed downward with the force of a meteor, pressing down on Qu Yi, Wu Yuan, and Qing Wu Gui.

At that moment, Qu Yi took out the Star Luo Ding, Wu Yuan took out the divine weapon, the Sand Whip, and Qing Wu Gui took out the divine weapon, the Earth-Piercing Spear.

As the thunderstorm descended, Qu Yi grasped the Star Luo Ding with his left hand and quickly raised his right hand. The chaotic energy inside the Star Luo Ding surged out wildly and was scattered into the sky by Qu Yi to directly confront the thunderstorm. The fierce chaotic soul electricity was once again filtered by the chaotic energy, while the beneficial components rushed into Qu Yi’s Soul Flower like a deluge and were absorbed by the Sky Soul Layer.

Wu Yuan activated the Sand Whip, sending a wave of yellow sand as large as the thunderstorm into the air to block it. That yellow sand consisted of Earth Element Spirits, which allowed the beneficial components to pass through while crushing the chaotic soul electricity.

Qing Wu Gui swung his Earth-Piercing Spear, with a yellow light shield shining at its tip to withstand the attack of the thunderstorm. That yellow light shield was connected to the Heart of the Five Elements, causing the chaotic soul electricity in the thunderstorm to disintegrate into Five Elements Spirits, which floated out on their own.

Naturally, the beneficial components in the thunderstorm were absorbed by Qing Wu Gui’s Soul Flower.

The three also successfully passed through the Heaven Punishment Thunder.

In the starry sky, Qu Yi, Wu Yuan, and Qing Wu Gui gathered together and laughed joyfully.

“A divine trial—we’ve passed it!”

“Woooh, we’ve arrived in the divine realm!”

“In a year, we’ll enter the divine realm and compete with cultivators from all realms.”

The three shouted loudly, and the entire starry sky seemed to resonate with their emotions.

In just one year, the three could refine their Soul Flowers to a state of perfect maturity, allowing them to receive the guiding light of the divine realm and ascend there.

At this moment, the Instrument God inside the inch-world sphere had already jumped up from the soft chair, shouting excitedly, “Divine Realm, I’m back again.”
