Chapter 21: I Will Not Accept This

The Rock Giant was injured and furious. He was angry that it had allowed the cultivators from both alliances to attack it, a purely self-destructive act that also led to its own injuries. He was also enraged that the Dragon Emperor and the Phoenix King had remained inactive until they struck, severely wounding the Rock Giant and rendering it unable to move freely for a long time. Thus, the Rock Giant felt immense humiliation. Instead of rushing to recover, it resolved to seek revenge.

“You all shall die!” The Rock Giant raised its divine weapon, the Ground-Shattering Spear, and shouted with a cold glare.

Suddenly, before the cultivators of the Golden Dragon Alliance and the Phoenix Alliance could react, the Rock Giant reappeared before them as if unharmed, swinging its Ground-Shattering Spear downward with fierce force. As a divine weapon, empowered by the Earthly Energy Core, it summoned thousands of boulders that fell from the sky at the speed of meteors, crashing down upon the heads of the hundreds of cultivators from the Golden Dragon Alliance.

“Fight to the death!”
“Brothers, I’ll go first!”

Just as the Ground-Shattering Spear struck the heads of the Golden Dragon Alliance cultivators, some of their strongest members resolved to self-destruct, using their own bodies to disrupt the spell unleashed by the Rock Giant.

Indeed, the Golden Dragon Alliance ruled the entire Golden Dragon Star Domain in the Fiery Realm, a land dominated by dragons. Most of its powerful cultivators possessed dragon blood. Known for their unity, these dragon warriors decided that if they failed to withstand the Rock Giant’s attack, the entire alliance would suffer, leading to its downfall and ultimately threatening the fate of the dragon race.

So, they chose to sacrifice themselves to save their race.

In an instant, ten dragon warriors of the Heavenly Soul Fiend realm transformed into giant dragons, circling above and shielding the cultivators below. Then, their bodies exploded in midair, releasing fierce demonic energy that collided with the thousands of falling boulders. The boulders were shattered into dust, and when they hit the ground, they were easily blocked by the remaining Golden Dragon Alliance warriors.

The death of those ten dragon warriors saved the lives of the rest.

Seeing this situation, the Rock Giant became even angrier. With his severely injured body, the divine essence he managed to release was blocked by ten dragons, making his plan to massacre the two alliances even more difficult to carry out. Despite this, the Rock Giant still intended not to spare the Golden Dragon Alliance or the Phoenix Alliance. “I’ll see how many times you can self-destruct. I must eliminate you all—face my wrath!” the Rock Giant roared again. Instantly, he picked up his divine weapon, the Earth-Piercing Spear, and raised it high into the sky. A brilliant yellow light emanated from its tip, and endless primordial Earth energy quickly gathered in the surrounding space, with various Earth spirits swirling and jumping about. Clearly, the Rock Giant wanted to use his ultimate technique to kill everyone from the Golden Dragon Alliance and the Phoenix Alliance at once. If things continued like this, he knew his body could hardly hold on any longer. The more divine essence he could conserve, the faster his injured body could recover. He couldn’t waste too much of it. The Dragon Emperor and the Phoenix saw the Rock Giant’s insane actions and realized he was now in a state of utter fury. If they didn’t stop him, all the powerful soul demons of the Golden Dragon Alliance and the Phoenix Alliance might truly be wiped out. “Heavenly Dragon Patrol, prepare!” “Heavenly Fire Blossoms, prepare!” The Dragon Emperor and the Phoenix shouted urgently. The powerful warriors of the Golden Dragon Alliance and the Phoenix Alliance, upon hearing their leaders’ orders, dared not waste time worrying about the Rock Giant’s attacks. They focused their minds and quickly formed two formations in the air, gathering all their spirits once more to unleash the “Heavenly Dragon Patrol” and “Heavenly Fire Blossoms” formations. A massive golden dragon and a phoenix spewing flames of silence rushed toward the Rock Giant at lightning speed, attacking without hesitation. The golden dragon was tasked with restraining the Rock Giant’s movements, while the flaming phoenix attacked him directly. These combined formations could now deal even greater damage to the Rock Giant. After being harmed by the Black Tidal Divine Fire, his entire body’s divine essence had been depleted, making it extremely difficult for him to gather enough divine essence to resist the combined attacks. Just as the Rock Giant was about to cast a wide-area attack spell, he realized that the cultivators from the Golden Dragon Alliance and the Phoenix Alliance had already reached him. If he cast a spell, not only would it harm the warriors of the two alliances, but his own body would also suffer severe damage.

Attacking himself with his own magic, the Rock Giant was well aware of the consequences.
“Bastards! You all are bastards!” Fueled by rage, the Rock Giant retreated swiftly, escaping the Golden Dragon’s attacks and moving to a distance before launching his own assault. However, the power of this attack was now much weaker than what he had prepared earlier.
The Ground-Piercing Spear slashed down violently; the brilliant yellow light at its tip, carrying countless Earth Spirit entities, descended from the sky, forming a funnel-shaped coverage area that enveloped all the cultivators of the Golden Dragon Alliance and the Phoenix Alliance. Naturally, the Earth Spirit entities summoned by the Rock Giant kept attacking the strong warriors of these two alliances from within.
Countless screams and roars echoed from within the coverage area, clearly indicating that cultivators from the Golden Dragon Alliance and the Phoenix Alliance had died under the attacks of the Earth Spirit entities. Yet as cries of pain arose, the yellow-covered area shrank rapidly, and the yellow Earth energy faded quickly.
Due to the interference from the cultivators of the two alliances, the magic cast by the Rock Giant was already weak and couldn’t last long.
Soon, the cultivators of the Golden Dragon Alliance and the Phoenix Alliance finally reappeared in their true forms.
In the Golden Dragon Alliance, just over fifty Heavenly Soul Fiend warriors survived, but they had lost their combat strength.
In the Phoenix Alliance, nearly forty Heavenly Soul Fiend warriors survived as well, but they were barely alive, lying weakly on the ground.
As for the warriors who had died from both alliances, not even their corpses remained—they had long been shattered to pieces.
Seeing the tragic scene, the Dragon Emperor and the Phoenix immediately grew furious. Unconsciously, they reverted to their true forms— the Five-Clawed Golden Dragon and the Phoenix— and flew fiercely toward the Rock Giant.
Roar!
The foremost claw of the Five-Clawed Golden Dragon, wielding the divine artifact Stealing Dragon Claw, reached the Rock Giant’s face. It slashed violently upward, creating a giant golden claw in the air. Hundreds of Gold Spirit entities, carrying a sharp energy, charged at the Rock Giant.
The Phoenix suppressed the flames on its body, drawing a trail of fire across the sky before arriving in front of the Rock Giant. It opened its mouth and spat out nothing but black Black Tidal Divine Fire. Indeed, the Phoenix had gathered all its energy solely to unleash more Black Tidal Divine Fire.
The Rock Giant tried to retreat but was blocked by the Five-Clawed Golden Dragon, leaving it with little room to maneuver. It was forced to endure another attack from the Phoenix’s Black Tidal Divine Fire.
“Roar… Roar…”

A hole about one meter in size appeared on the rock giant’s chest, caused by the Black Tidal Divine Fire, and it could no longer be repaired. This Black Tidal Divine Fire had finally inflicted irreparable damage on the rock giant, leaving only 10% of its original strength remaining.

At this moment, though furious, the rock giant had no intention of avenging itself on the Dragon Emperor and the Phoenix. It was well aware that continuing the fight would likely result in its own death. So, it swung its Earth-Shattering Spear to block the attacks of the Dragon Emperor and the Phoenix, then suddenly vanished, returning underground.

With no other choice but to flee underground, the rock giant rushed toward the planet’s core as soon as it entered the ground, hoping to use the terrain to deter the attacks of the Dragon Emperor and the Phoenix. The Dragon Emperor and the Phoenix also did their best to hold off the rock giant. Seeing its strength greatly diminished and no longer capable of harming the Golden Dragon Alliance or the Phoenix Alliance, they finally relaxed.

They no longer had any intention of pursuing the rock giant. They understood that if they pushed it to the brink, it might explode on its own, killing them as well. Therefore, their plan was to escape the planet immediately with the surviving members of the Heavenly Soul Demons.

The rock giant reached the planet’s core. In a gap between underground rock layers, it finally stopped moving, sat down, and began frantically absorbing the Earthly Energy from beneath the ground to restore its body as quickly as possible.

After closing its eyes for a while, the rock giant suddenly opened them wide, its gaze filled with shock. “How is this possible? How could all the Earthly Energy I absorbed disappear?” It was astonished, with a hint of unease in its expression.

At that moment, Qu Yi had already emerged from the Dimensional Sphere and was seated inside the Star Luo Ding, controlling it to absorb energy wildly within the rock giant’s body. Not only was it absorbing the Earthly Energy gathered by the rock giant from the ground, but it was also drawing in the rock giant’s own divine essence. Qu Yi intended to absorb all of the rock giant’s energy completely.

The rock giant finally sensed the activity inside its body. “Ah! Who are you? How did you get inside me? Why are you attacking me?” it cried in terror.

But Qu Yi wouldn’t answer it. It focused entirely on controlling the Star Luo Ding, absorbing energy around it frantically.

The Rock Giant wanted to use the divine elements in his body to attack the Star Luo Ding, but to his greater horror, he found that all his attack methods were useless—the Star Luo Ding remained intact—and even the last remaining divine elements he summoned were quickly absorbed by it.
“Ah… I refuse to give up.” The Rock Giant finally went mad, falling into despair.
Soon, his entire body turned into ore, and the Star Luo Ding appeared outside.
