Chapter 39: Everyone Leaves

As the four members of Taiyuan Gate used their True Essence Swords to cut down the green bamboos, they also kept an eye on the situations of other sects. Naturally, they learned that the four from Cangyang Valley had already gathered 5,000 Jade Pearls.

At that moment, the True Essence Swords of Taiyuan Gate suddenly appeared and attacked those of Cangyang Valley, with the aim of seizing the Jade Pearls from them.

How could the four from Cangyang Valley not be vigilant? When the True Essence Swords of Taiyuan Gate flew toward them, they immediately retracted their own swords, concentrating their Earthly True Essence even more before swiftly sweeping upward to block the attacks.

Boom!

The explosive collision between the Golden True Essence and the Earthly True Essence created a massive energy wave that wiped out all the Green Bamboo Warriors and green bamboos in the vicinity, turning an area of a hundred miles into scorched land.

However, the scorched land was quickly covered again by green bamboos, as if this world of green bamboos were full of vitality and never lacked Woodly energy.

“Taiyuan Gate, have you gone mad?” shouted the leader of Cangyang Valley through his True Essence Sword.

Tai Ming, frustrated that his sudden attack had failed, ignored Cangyang Valley’s shouts and immediately used his Golden True Essence Sword to fly away.

The True Essence Sword of Cangyang Valley calmed down for a while, clearly recovering from its anger, before flying away as well, refusing to seek revenge on Taiyuan Gate.

Seeing Taiyuan Gate’s madness, the True Essence Swords of other sects also flew away at a distance while continuing to cut down the green bamboos, unwilling to engage in a fierce battle with Taiyuan Gate in this world of green bamboos.

The powerful warriors from the nine sects resumed cutting down the bamboos to obtain Jade Pearls.

Meanwhile, inside the Bamboo Nest, Qu Yi was in deep meditation, sitting cross-legged inside a spatial teleportation array. Every hour, he would open his eyes to find a Wood Wheel Stone suddenly appearing somewhere in the Bamboo Nest.

It was as if the Bamboo Nest could “lay eggs,” producing Wood Wheel Stones. Qu Yi had already gathered ten of them so far.

“Being able to cultivate here while also finding Wood Wheel Stones, I truly hope the powerful warriors from the nine sects will stay in the Bamboo Forest a little longer,” Qu Yi said with a smile.

The Artifact God suddenly spoke up, “Qu Yi, think what you will. Such good times won’t last long. A light sphere is flying over—your desire to possess this Bamboo Nest can no longer be fulfilled.”

Hearing this, Qu Yi showed signs of urgency. This Bamboo Nest was an excellent place to collect Woodly essence stones, and losing it would be a great loss.

Immediately, Qu Yi’s eyes lit up. This Artifact God was certainly not someone who talked nonsense; he had kindly come to remind Qu Yi, probably already having a plan in mind.
“Artifact God, with your great powers, you must have a good solution, right?” Qu Yi asked in a flattering tone.
“Don’t ask me; I don’t know either,” the Artifact God replied right away.
Hearing this, Qu Yi’s smile grew even wider. He was now certain the Artifact God must have a way.
“Artifact God, ever since we entered the Vast Heaven Immortal Mansion, you’ve dismissed the formations arranged by Emperor Hao as trivial, clearly knowing all the formations here. I’m convinced you can definitely break this Bamboo Nest Formation,” Qu Yi said with a smile.
After a moment of silence, the Artifact God reluctantly said, “Qu Yi, you kid are probably the luckiest in the entire cultivation world to have run into me. Fine, I’ll tell you how to break it.”
Immediately, Qu Yi received a message in his soul.
“So simple! Just take out the Star Luo Ding, and everything will be solved,” Qu Yi thought, scanning with his spiritual awareness before laughing.
The space transmission array in the Bamboo Nest also required wood energy provided by the Bamboo Nest to activate. Only after the array transported people away could the Bamboo Nest receive the light spheres in the air.
Therefore, by drawing away some of the wood energy the Bamboo Nest supplied to the array, preventing it from activating, it would naturally stop the light spheres from falling into the Bamboo Nest.
The Star Luo Ding also had the ability to absorb wood energy, and its internal space was vast enough to store all the wood energy from the Bamboo Nest.
Qu Yi took out the Star Luo Ding and used a wisp of his spiritual awareness to quickly draw away the wood energy from the Bamboo Nest.
At that moment, a light sphere flew in from afar, carrying the four members of the Jin Yang Sect—Jin Xiong, Feng Han, Feng Jian, and Feng Bian.
Naturally, the four also saw the Bamboo Nest and Qu Yi inside it.
But at that moment, Qu Yi wore a strange smile and waved friendlyingly at the four in the air.
The four of them stared at Qu Yi in surprise, wondering why he was waving at them.
Soon, they understood what was going on—the green light sphere they were in wouldn’t descend and remained floating in the air.
At the same time, they saw the Star Luo Ding inside the Bamboo Nest and finally realized Qu Yi had used a trick to prevent them from entering the Bamboo Nest, thus stopping them from leaving via the space transmission array.
“That bastard Qu Yi! He’s driving me crazy!”
“It’s so unfair! All the advantages go to Qu Yi. Why?”

“Qu Yi is utterly shameless! He used the Star Luo Ding to disrupt the array, preventing us from entering the space teleportation array.”
“How infuriating! I really want to hug Qu Yi and blow myself up with my Yuan Ying to kill him.”
In an instant, the four members of the Jin Yang Sect were filled with rage, especially upon thinking about how they had been killed by Green Bamboo warriors in the Emerald Bamboo Forest, barely managing to obtain ten thousand Fei Yu beads. Now, Qu Yi had shamelessly taken over the Bamboo Nest, filling them with fury.
Qu Yi paid no attention to the anger of the four from the Jin Yang Sect inside the light sphere. He used one part of his spiritual consciousness to control the Star Luo Ding and absorb Wood energy, while the other five parts continued scanning the Four Elements Dao.
Before entering the Haotian Immortal Mansion, Qu Yi had already spent thirty years secretly scanning the Four Elements Dao, and his spiritual consciousness was on the verge of breaking through to the mid-stage of the Tribulation Phase. Now, as he continued scanning, he had a vague feeling that his soul’s realm was about to reach that stage as well.
Some time passed, and another Wood Wheel Stone fell out of the Bamboo Nest.
Qu Yi opened his eyes, happily collected the Stone, then waved friendlyly at the four from the Jin Yang Sect in the air before closing his eyes again to scan the Four Elements Dao.
Inside the light sphere, the four from the Jin Yang Sect flew into a rage. Their previously calmed hearts were once again filled with fury.
“Qu Yi, I’ll bite you to death!”
“Qu Yi, you bastard! You’ve taken over someone else’s nest—how shameless!”
“It’s infuriating! After gaining an advantage, you still dare to tease us! I must blow myself up with my Yuan Ying to kill him!”
“How long does this bastard plan to stay in this Bamboo Nest? Does he even want to leave this Southwest Wasteland?”
The anger of the four from the Jin Yang Sect, which they had barely calmed down, flared up again as they shouted wildly, their eyes seemingly spewing fire at Qu Yi.
Qu Yi ignored them completely.
After a while, two more green light spheres appeared in the distance. Strongers from the Tai Yuan Sect and the Hundred Beasts Peak also arrived.
Undoubtedly, those strongers from the Tai Yuan Sect and the Hundred Beasts Peak were also trapped in the light spheres, helpless and furious at Qu Yi.
Qu Yi, however, was polite. As the members of the Tai Yuan Sect and the Hundred Beasts Peak arrived one after another, he waved at them friendlyly, greeted them, and then continued to meditate with his eyes closed.
Among the three light spheres in the air, the one containing the four from the Jin Yang Sect was first, followed by the one with the four from the Tai Yuan Sect, and then the one with the four from the Hundred Beasts Peak.
The strongers from the three sects looked at each other through the light spheres, their expressions filled with helplessness. At that moment, everyone shared the same feeling.

Next, the powerful members from the Qingyun Sect, Lanyang Palace, Yingtian School, Cangyang Valley, Xianyue Cliff, and Jiugong Island Sect also arrived near the Bamboo Nest one after another, sitting inside green light spheres and stopping in mid-air. As before, Qu Yi waved at each of the powerful figures inside the light spheres to greet them before continuing his meditation. It took five days for all nine light spheres to arrive. Qu Yi happily obtained hundreds of Wood Wheel Stones, and even more easily acquired the Essence Stone of Wood right under the noses of the powerful members from these sects. Undoubtedly, the powerful members of the nine sects glared at Qu Yi in anger but could do nothing about it. In the end, they simply sat inside their light spheres and began meditating as well. After the last sect’s light sphere arrived and all nine were present, Qu Yi suddenly noticed that the Star Luo Ding was absorbing much less spiritual energy from the Wood element in the Bamboo Nest, while the Wood energy from the Bamboo Nest flowing into the space transmission array had increased significantly. “It seems I won’t be able to occupy this Bamboo Nest for long. Well, I’m satisfied—gaining hundreds of Wood Wheel Stones is already a great reward,” Qu Yi said, standing up from the space transmission array with a smile. Immediately afterward, he put away the Star Luo Ding. “Qu Yi has taken away the Star Luo Ding!” The powerful members of the nine sects noticed his action and cheered in delight. Qu Yi chuckled, waved at them in mid-air, and said, “Dear fellow cultivators, I’ll be leaving now. Hurry over here.” Suddenly, a flash of white light appeared from the space transmission array, and Qu Yi’s figure disappeared. As soon as he vanished, the light sphere carrying the four members of the Jinyang Sect descended straight into the Bamboo Nest, and they then entered the space transmission array. At that moment, the four members of the Jinyang Sect had no way to stop the array from activating; as soon as they landed inside, they were instantly transported away. The powerful members of the other eight sects were also quickly transported away one after another.
