Chapter 083: Blood Demon

Third Brother frowned deeply. He glanced at Chen Xiao intently, then took out a yellow supernatural card and slowly activated the small teleportation array within it. In the next moment, Third Brother’s body disappeared.
“A yellow crystal card? It seems the Blood Dragon Hall is no ordinary place.” Chen Xiao shook his head. That Third Brother was also at the third level, but far stronger than Xiao Wu, who had been intimidated by Chen Xiao’s power just now.
“A third-level supernatural user is considered a minor expert in the world of supernatural powers. I never expected there to be two third-level users in the Hundred Dragon Building.”
Chen Xiao fell into deep thought.
Suddenly, the Third Brother who had left reappeared before Chen Xiao.
“Come with me.” By now, Third Brother’s expression had returned to normal, though his eyes flashed with coldness and a sneer.
Chen Xiao noticed all of this, but said nothing. He stood up and followed Third Brother.
The Hundred Dragon Building had 23 floors. The two took the elevator straight to the top floor. The 23rd floor seemed to be a vast garden, filled with rare plants rarely seen in the ordinary world. There were artificial hills, springs, and waterfalls as well.
Building such a large garden on such a high floor wasn’t easy at all, which showed the strength of the Blood Dragon Hall.
“Is this the Heart-Revealing Grass?” Chen Xiao’s expression changed as he immediately spotted the Heart-Revealing Grass, which even vampires had fought over before. But there was only one such plant here, much smaller than the one in Chen Xiao’s possession. Yet this still revealed the depth of the Blood Dragon Hall’s resources.
Chen Xiao grew wary.
“Young man, are you the one who wants to cooperate with us?” A gentle voice spoke up. “Or is it someone behind you?”
Following the sound, three people—or rather, three supernatural users—had somehow appeared beside Chen Xiao.
The leader had slightly blood-red hair, was around forty years old, and slightly overweight. He appeared extremely kind, but his eyes occasionally emitted a blood-red, sinister glow. If not for Chen Xiao’s strong mental strength at that moment, he might not have noticed such a glow.
Chen Xiao’s mind stirred slightly. “An expert, at least at the fifth level.”
Although this middle-aged man seemed kind on the surface, he gave Chen Xiao a very unpleasant feeling. Beside him were two others: Xiao Wu, who had been severely injured by Chen Xiao’s power, whose gaze toward Chen Xiao revealed a hint of fear; and another, a handsome young man who resembled Third Brother and Xiao Wu to some extent, but whose gaze toward Chen Xiao wasn’t polite at all.
As soon as Third Brother saw this middle-aged man, he immediately bowed and stepped behind him.
“I’m alone. There’s no one behind me,” Chen Xiao said with a shrug. “It’s entirely my own decision. The Black Tiger Gate attacked my brother, so I want revenge—nothing more.”

“Hehe, young man, Hei Hu Men isn’t something to be trifled with. Not even our Blood Dragon Hall can be provoked.” The middle-aged man shook his head and said, “Let me introduce myself. I’m Stedley, the leader of all the supernatural beings in Blood Dragon Hall. To put it simply, I’m the master behind Blood Dragon Hall.”
As he spoke, Stedley sat down on a stone bench in the garden.
“Whether one can provoke them or not, one won’t know until they try, right?” Chen Xiao tilted his head and smiled. “At least I’ve already provoked your Blood Dragon Hall, haven’t I?”
He glanced at Xiao Wu as he spoke.
“Young people are great—full of drive,” Stedley said with a smile. “I’m really curious about how you managed to severely disrupt Xiao Wu’s mind through an electronic device.”
“Want to learn? I can teach you.” Chen Xiao looked at him with a half-smile. Such powers aren’t something anyone can learn easily.
“No, I’m not interested in your methods,” Stedley shook his head. “The source of supernatural powers lies in the bloodline of the supernatural beings, right?”
“Hm?” Chen Xiao was taken aback.
Gradually, the bloodthirsty glow in Stedley’s eyes grew stronger. “As long as I absorb your blood and gain your bloodline, won’t everything about you become mine?”
“Are you a vampire?” Chen Xiao instinctively stepped back.
“A vampire? No, I’m a blood demon—a mutated supernatural being, a blood-based sorcerer!” Stedley’s chubby figure seemed sturdy, with a kind smile on his face, but at that moment, he appeared eerie and terrifying.
Stedley pointed, and a blood-red spiritual spell formed in the air. Immediately afterward, a blood-red light enveloped Chen Xiao’s body.
“Borrow blood!”
With a slight command from Stedley, the blood-red light seemed to turn into a tangible force, penetrating into Chen Xiao’s body.
Stedley attacked without warning.
Chen Xiao felt as if his blood was about to boil.
“Showing off one’s skills in front of the master.” Chen Xiao snorted coldly. Blood-based supernatural beings were merely mutations of water-based ones, but they still followed the same fundamental principle—water was their basis. With the main water deity within him, all water-related supernatural beings were destined to be subdued by him.
In his mental sea, the main deity moved slightly, and its power slowly seeped out, instantly shattering the blood-red light.
“It’s my turn!”
“Fourfold Waves!”
Chen Xiao threw a punch, and black death water surged forth, forming four massive waves on his body’s surface. In an instant, the four waves merged into one giant wave that rushed toward Stedley.
“Sevenfold Waves! Damn it, where did he learn such a bizarre combat technique?”
Stedley didn’t bother to wonder why his blood-draining spell hadn’t worked on Chen Xiao. He stretched out his hand, and a blood-red staff appeared in it. With a wave of his hand, a blood-red protective barrier instantly formed in front of him.
Boom!
The Fourfold Waves crashed violently against the blood-red barrier. After a loud explosion, the forces canceled each other out.

“Seven layers of waves cause immense damage to the body. After unleashing four layers, I wonder how your body can withstand it!” Stedley sneered as he stepped forward toward Chen Xiao, greed shining in his eyes. “Your bloodline can resist my blood-draining power. If I devour your blood, won’t my strength increase even further?”
“Is that so?” Chen Xiao slowly stretched his muscles. “Combat technique: Three Layers of Waves!”
Boom!
Suddenly, three layers of waves converged rapidly in the air, forming a massive wave that slammed straight into Stedley.
Stedley was too close to Chen Xiao; he barely had time to react before being hit by the waves.
As a sorcerer, Stedley didn’t possess the formidable physique of a martial warrior, but the force of those waves from the fourth level nearly turned him into minced meat.
Chen Xiao didn’t intend to kill him.
“How… how is this possible?” Blood, as thick as a thumb, flowed from Stedley’s lips as he stared at Chen Xiao in disbelief.
“Common sense and rules are just for reference, not to be taken literally, right?” Chen Xiao wore a faint smile on his face.
