Chapter 645: Permissions Soar Again

Leaving the Sky-Piercing Tower, Ye Feng immediately activated the Virtual Realm and stepped inside.
“There are now 65,000 Virtual Treasure fragments in total, including over a hundred Peak Virtual Treasure fragments. I wonder how much this will improve the Virtual Realm’s restoration level,” Ye Feng thought to himself.
Upon entering the Virtual Realm, Ye Feng took out all the Virtual Treasure fragments from his ring—65,300 in total. “Let’s absorb all of them!”
The Virtual Realm projection reappeared. Without hesitation, it began absorbing the fragments right away.
Ye Feng watched as the fragments decreased at a visible pace, while the Virtual Realm slowly changed.
This absorption process took a whole day.
Ye Feng could clearly sense that the Virtual Realm was different from before. He knew its restoration level had reached at least 30%, but whether it had surpassed 40% was still unclear.
“How’s it going?” Ye Feng asked as soon as the Virtual Realm projection opened its eyes.
“It’s reached 39%,” the projection replied, seemingly undisappointed. “There are a bit fewer Peak Virtual Treasure fragments. If we had a few hundred more, it should be possible to break through to 40%.”
“Ah, just a little short. Next time then!” Ye Feng shook his head with a wry smile. “But I guess such opportunities won’t be many in the future, as I’ve already collected all the Virtual Treasure fragments in that area.”
“I’ve waited for so many years. I’m not in a hurry. Things will work out when they’re supposed to,” the projection said, showing no urgency at all. “The restoration level has increased by 10 percentage points, and it’s now over 30%. What reward do you want this time? Supreme Privilege or Ultimate Enlightenment Privilege?”
“I still want the Ultimate Enlightenment Privilege!” Ye Feng chose without hesitation.
“10 percentage points equate to 20 instances of Ultimate Enlightenment Privilege. All of them are yours!” The projection waved its hand, and Ye Feng’s remaining 36 instances of Ultimate Enlightenment Privilege suddenly became 56. 56 instances meant Ye Feng could achieve enlightenment for 168 days just through sudden insights. One could imagine the effects of such prolonged enlightenment. After all, it’s already remarkable for an ordinary person to achieve enlightenment just a few hours at a time, and they rarely experience it even in their entire lives.

“The repair rate has increased to over 30%, and your permissions have been elevated again,” the Virtual Realm projection reminded. “The benefits are as follows: 1. The number of free items in the realm ruled by the realm master increases to ten, with a renewal interval of one day. 2. Once every ten thousand years, the realm master can obtain three items that exceed their permission level by one tier. Time flow is based on the realm the realm master is in; time acceleration is not included.”

“From three to ten—very good. It’s a pity the interval for obtaining items beyond one’s permission level is still ten thousand years, even though it’s increased from one to three,” Ye Feng said with a smile.

“Take it step by step,” the Virtual Realm projection replied calmly. “There’s another reward. I’ll reprocess those items that were refined into mid-grade Virtual Treasures last time to turn them into top-grade Virtual Treasures. With my current capabilities, this is the best I can do.”

Upon hearing this, Ye Feng immediately threw out all his equipment. Last time, the Virtual Realm had helped him upgrade his items from mid-grade to top-grade, a two-tier improvement. Naturally, he couldn’t refuse such an offer.

It wasn’t long before the reprocessing of the Virtual Treasures was completed, and the projection of the Virtual Realm disappeared once again.

Leaving the Virtual Realm, Ye Feng entered the Ultimate Martial Ark. “I can now practice the secret patterns taught by my master. There are 20,000 secret patterns. If I’m in a state of sudden enlightenment, how many days will it take to complete them all? This is a good chance to find out!”

Ye Feng sat in meditation for 23 days, using the Supreme Comprehension Privilege six times. Since it couldn’t be used consecutively, he had to stop for a day after each use, resulting in a five-day delay.

In fact, for the first 8,000 of those 20,000 secret patterns, he only needed to use the comprehension privilege once. The remaining patterns became increasingly difficult, forcing him to use the privilege six times in total to complete them all.

The moment Ye Feng finished mastering the secret patterns, the Heavenly Dao appeared again.

“That Virtual Realm of yours is truly a remarkable treasure, with such special functions,” the Heavenly Dao couldn’t help but praise. “However, it’s better to reserve such opportunities for sudden enlightenment for times when they’re truly necessary. If you use them now, what if you hit a bottleneck later and your cultivation stalls?”

“Master, I’ll be careful,” Ye Feng replied. He understood the Heavenly Dao’s point—sudden enlightenment was indeed better suited for times of difficulty. Using it during regular cultivation would indeed be a waste.

“Well, completing this stage of cultivation in twenty-three days—although it’s a bit of a shortcut—it’s undeniable that you’re the first to do it in such a short time,” said the Heavenly Dao with a smile. “As for the 30,001st to 50,000th secret patterns, you’ll have to go to the intermediate main plane to search for them. But before that, you can study formations.”
“Master, besides using them by tracing them out, are there any other ways to use these divine power secret patterns?” Ye Feng couldn’t help but ask.
“Of course there are, but it mainly depends on your own exploration. All I can tell you is that these secret patterns conceal the secrets of the origin of all things,” the Heavenly Dao said before disappearing again. No further explanation came, no matter how loudly Ye Feng called out.
“The secrets of the origin of all things?” Ye Feng frowned slightly. This seemingly intimidating statement made him fall into deep thought.
Days passed, yet Ye Feng still had no clue. He set aside this matter and began to study the changes within his own body. Existence had transformed his body—fusion of realms, fusion of worlds, universe seeds, universe tree seeds…
When Ye Feng reopened his realm, he was shocked to find that its size had expanded by about a hundred times, reaching a radius of around one million meters. The stability and strength of the realm had also increased by roughly a hundred times. Although his cultivation level remained at the Star Sea stage, he was now on par with late-stage Star Realm experts. Anything those experts could do, he could do as well.
As for the universe seeds, Ye Feng only found a few seed-like objects in his dantian, which showed no sign of sprouting. As for the universe tree seeds, it took him a great deal of effort to find them, as they were much smaller than the universe seeds. So Existence had planted the universe tree seeds directly inside the universe seeds…
As time went by, Ye Feng’s overall strength grew at a rapidly visible pace…
