Chapter 635: Arrival at the Destination
Just as Yu Hong had predicted earlier, it took the two of them a full thirty days to reach the border between the Inner Realm and the Core Region.
Inside the Inner Realm, besides Nan Batian, Ye Feng encountered another faction led by a man named Luo Ming, who was also a peak-level Pseudo-Void warrior, practicing water-based divine powers.
This time, Ye Feng didn’t hold back at all and wiped out this group entirely, seizing many storage rings. Inside these rings were not only vast amounts of wealth but also over two hundred fragments of Void treasures—something Ye Feng valued the most. However, he didn’t immediately put them into the Void Realm for absorption but chose to store more for later absorption together.
News of Ye Feng eliminating Luo Ming and his men quickly reached Nan Batian and the others. Not only Nan Batian but also other rulers of the Inner Realm heard about it, causing a great stir.
It should be noted that there were only seven rulers in the Inner Realm, all peak-level Pseudo-Void warriors who ranked at the top of the power hierarchy in the entire galaxy.
But suddenly, an entire faction was wiped out by one person overnight—this was simply unbelievable.
Many even began to doubt whether Ye Feng was truly a Void-level warrior, given his terrifying strength. As a result, they launched an investigation into him.
This investigation led them to Nan Batian. Through intelligence, they discovered that Ye Feng had once entered Nan Batian’s territory, killed some of Nan Batian’s men, and even fought him in a battle. What pleased them the most was that Nan Batian was still alive.
So, the remaining five rulers joined forces and visited Nan Batian’s territory.
“Batian, I heard you fought that guy named Ye Feng?” The old man who asked this was Chunyu Yi, one of the earliest rulers of the Inner Realm and also the oldest in terms of status. With him asking, Nan Batian didn’t dare neglect him, even though he was also one of the rulers of the Inner Realm. Chunyu Yi’s strength was recognized as the greatest in the realm.
“So that guy’s name is Ye Feng?” It was the first time Nan Batian had heard this name. In fact, it wouldn’t have been difficult for him to find out Ye Feng’s name if he had simply asked people outside. After fighting Ye Feng, he had completely forgotten about him.
“You really fought him?” Another middle-aged man with a scarred face exclaimed in surprise. His name was Daobba, and like Nan Batian, he was one of the rulers of the Inner Realm.
“I did fight him!” Nan Batian nodded.
“What’s the result?” Chunyu Yi asked, and the other four also looked at Nan Batian with interest.
“What other result could there be? I lost!” Nan Batian clearly didn’t want to discuss it further and simply gave the answer.
“He didn’t kill you?” Scarf frowned slightly.
“Is that so strange? I was just sparring with him,” Nan Batian rolled his eyes at Scarf.
“You must already know about Luo Ming’s situation, since your territory is so close to his,” Scarf pressed on relentlessly.
“I know. Ye Feng killed him, and his entire army was wiped out!” Nan Batian nodded with a smile, showing no sympathy for Luo Ming at all. “That’s why I’ve been busy annexing his territory lately.”
“What’s the actual strength of that young man, Ye Feng?” Chunyu Yi also didn’t want to waste any more time. Nan Batian seemed determined not to provide any information, which annoyed him.
“His strength should already be at the Zhenxu level!” Nan Batian’s brief reply left the other five stunned.
“Zhenxu level? Are you sure?” Chunyu Yi was skeptical, his tone clearly expressing doubt as he wanted to ask further.
“I’m very sure,” Nan Batian nodded firmly. “I’ve fought against him, and that’s how I came to this conclusion. So, my personal advice is that you all stay away from him. Don’t wait until you get killed and then say I didn’t warn you.”
The other five looked at Nan Batian. Though none said anything, they clearly doubted his words.
“That’s all I know. Whether you believe it or not is up to you,” Nan Batian said indifferently. “Oh, by the way, there’s one more thing about Ye Feng.”
“What is it?” The five immediately leaned in.
“He’s collecting fragments of Virtual Treasures. I’m not sure what use they are to us,” Nan Batian added.
“Collecting fragments of Virtual Treasures?” Even Chunyu Yi, who had lived for a long time, couldn’t understand what this meant. As far as he knew, even in intermediate main planes, there was no need to collect such fragments to reforge something. Ordinary Virtual Treasures could be easily purchased. The only explanation was that Ye Feng might himself be an alchemist, and because the quality of the materials wasn’t good enough, he turned to this as a solution—collecting fragments to reforge them.
“Could he be an alchemist?” Chunyu Yi murmured to himself.
“That’s all I know. I can’t provide any more information; you’d better ask someone else!” Nan Batian said as he prepared to see them off.
Chun Yu Yi and the others left Nan Batian’s residence, but they weren’t relieved after learning some of Ye Feng’s secrets. According to Nan Batian, Ye Feng was so powerful that none of them could match him. If they were targeted by him like Luo Ming, they would likely meet the same fate.
“Chun Yu, what should we do now? Even Nan Batian, the only one who’s fought Ye Feng, couldn’t give us any useful information,” the others said, looking at Chun Yu Yi.
“Let’s take it one step at a time. It’s best for everyone to stay indoors and avoid trouble for now, until this storm passes,” Chun Yu Yi suggested.
“Alright then…” The other four dispersed dejectedly. They had thought that since Nan Batian had survived, that Ye Feng wasn’t that strong. But the news from Nan Batian was exactly the opposite of what they wanted to hear.
Unaware of this, Ye Feng stood at the boundary between the inner realm and the core area with Yu Hong.
Seeing the numerous floating fragments of precious treasures within the liquid-like walls, Ye Feng felt tempted.
“This is your destination!” Yu Hong laughed.
“Thank you!” Ye Feng said, taking out a powerful spiritual sword from his ring and handing it to Yu Hong. “Brother Yu, as a thank you, I’m giving this to you! It was something I promised you before asking you to be my guide.”
