Chapter 498: The Uprising of the Tower of Beasts

“Zizzz…” A strange sound arose from a depression outside the Peak of Ten Thousand Demons.
Everyone looked up at the source of the sound, which was in mid-air. The buzzing sound continued unabated, drawing everyone’s attention there.
“Crack…” Suddenly, a faint cracking sound reached their ears. Almost at the same time, a tiny crack appeared in mid-air.
Everyone watched quietly, knowing full well that this was the prelude to an uprising within the Tower of Beasts. With a deep roar from a beast, the tiny crack began to widen.
The roar also became slightly clearer. Ye Feng and the others realized it wasn’t the cry of a single beast but of a massive herd—by the sound, their number must be well over ten thousand.
“Roar!!!” With a clear and loud roar, a giant claw emerged from the crack, splitting it wide open.
Ye Feng frowned slightly. He could clearly sense the immense power of that beast—a being whose mastery of the laws had reached the eighth level.
“Roar!!!” Another roar came as another claw appeared on the other side of the crack, further widening it.
Although the cracks were slowly healing, they couldn’t withstand the destruction caused by the giant beast.
The beast’s power was extremely formidable. Under its claws, the space seemed like a wall struck by a sledgehammer, eventually collapsing to form a huge hole, and the beast finally poked its head out.
Ye Feng and the others stared in shock at the beast—its single eye gleamed with cruel ferocity. Its huge mouth was open, revealing teeth that emitted a cold glow, sending chills down everyone’s spine.
“Attack! Don’t let it escape!” Someone in the crowd finally reacted.
Everyone immediately drew their weapons and attacked the beast.
Ye Feng frowned. A being with mastery of the laws at the eighth level and a terrifyingly strong physique was likely beyond these people’s capabilities. He only used his mastery of the laws at the fourth level, attacking from a distance.
After a wave of attacks, the beast didn’t suffer any real damage but became truly enraged. A fierce roar created a gust of wind that swept toward the crowd.
“Hmph, do you think you’re some wind-law practitioner?” A handsome young man shot forward from the crowd, blocking their path. He formed two fingers into one and unleashed a blue storm, instantly dissipating the gust. He was none other than one of the three strongmen with mastery of the laws at the seventh level.

Soon after, two more warriors at the seventh level of the Law cultivation also appeared beside him. One had a rugged appearance with a full beard, while the other was middle-aged, with a dignified look and a calm demeanor. Clearly, they knew that the damage inflicted by others was limited, so it was better for the three of them to take action themselves. “Forget the rules—kill it!” A murderous intent flashed in the middle-aged man’s eyes. The three immediately charged at the one-eyed giant beast, unleashing attacks upon it one after another. The one-eyed giant roared in anger; the attacks from these three were far more intense than those from the others earlier, causing excruciating pain with each strike, forcing it to scream in agony. Everyone watched nervously, but Ye Feng frowned slightly. He realized that the attacks from those three actually didn’t cause much damage to the one-eyed giant—merely superficial wounds. Moreover, under their attacks, the cracks in space were spreading more slowly. Yet the giant’s screams sounded like those of a dying creature, prompting the three to intensify their attacks even further. “Could that magical beast… be doing this on purpose?” Ye Feng thought to himself. Suddenly, the giant exerted tremendous force, doubling the size of the gap and freeing itself from the confined opening. “As expected…” Ye Feng’s concerns turned into reality in an instant—the magical beast had completely escaped the spatial rift and appeared before them all. “Stupid humans! Did you really think my great Lord Moldo was injured by your attacks? I just pretended to roar so that you would help break through that damned spatial barrier. Hahaha~” It was a one-eyed giant beast with four claws and a long tail, its entire body covered in black scales, looking terrifying. “You three vermin! You dared attack me just now—die first!” The tip of the giant’s tail flashed, sending the three warriors flying instantly as they were struck by it. The one-eyed giant didn’t chase after them but fired three beams of purple light at them in succession. Ye Feng snapped his fingers three times, shattering those three attacks just as they were about to reach the warriors. “Who’s there?” The one-eyed giant was shocked—its attacks had been shattered in an instant, leaving it deeply alarmed. Ye Feng appeared in front of it with a flash.

The one-eyed beast wasn’t foolish; it didn’t act rashly instead carefully observing the young man before it, growing increasingly alarmed the more it looked. With its cultivation at the eighth level of the Lightning Law, it couldn’t detect the other party’s Law cultivation at all. It had only encountered such a situation once or twice among the magical beasts in the Tower of Ten Thousand Beasts. Its gaze toward Ye Feng now carried a hint of wariness.

The powerful beings watching on looked at Ye Feng with great curiosity. That beast had repelled three warriors at the seventh level of Law cultivation with a single move, meaning its own Law cultivation was at least at the eighth level. Although some had seen Ye Feng’s battle crystal, they had always thought his Law cultivation was at most at the sixth or seventh level. But the current confrontation made them completely abandon that idea. They could see that the one-eyed beast, once full of mockery, now looked at Ye Feng with a somewhat serious expression.

Roars from within the spatial rift continued, with more magical beasts emerging from it. However, the gap was not large enough to allow more than two to come through at a time. Those magical beasts didn’t have high cultivation levels, and almost before they could emerge, they were wiped out by the combined efforts of everyone present.

“How many like you are there in the Tower of Ten Thousand Beasts?” Ye Feng asked calmly. His words finally made the onlookers realize his strength.

“There are countless of us at my cultivation level. But those at the Perfect Realm are few—only two. Yet two against one is enough; you have no chance of winning,” said the magical beast, its eyes fixed intently on Ye Feng’s reaction to determine his cultivation level.

Ye Feng remained expressionless, showing no hint of his true strength. “We can discuss the future later. I’ll just take care of you first.”

His words reached every powerful being present clearly, leaving them all stunned…
