Chapter 383: Teasing and Being Teased

When Ye Feng arrived at the auction venue, it was still early in the morning. The girl at the reception desk had already been waiting at the door with a professional smile for quite some time. “Mr. Dao Feng, this way!”
Ye Feng followed her to the back area. The old appraiser, as usual, had dressed up unusually. Although he wasn’t messy by normal standards, he certainly belonged to the category of people who didn’t dress neatly.
“You don’t have to go to such lengths, do you?” Ye Feng chuckled dryly. As a half-divine realm powerhouse, his aura was far beyond that of ordinary people, and his attire gave him a certain presence. Yet, compared to a handsome man at Ye Feng’s level, he still fell short.
The old appraiser cleared his throat. “When meeting the boss, one must dress properly.”
Ye Feng didn’t think much of it and simply followed him into a hidden teleportation array. In the blink of an eye, they appeared inside a palace.
“This aura… it’s an ancient celestial artifact…” Ye Feng realized as soon as he entered the palace. Its rank was similar to that of the previous artifact, and some of the forbidden patterns inside also resembled them.
Seeing Ye Feng looking around, the old appraiser grinned. “This palace is on par with top-tier divine artifacts. Don’t touch those patterned restrictions—they’ll attack you.”
“Oh.” Ye Feng didn’t say much, just responded, then followed the old appraiser further inside.
At the entrance to the inner hall, the old appraiser was stopped by two women in the half-divine realm outside. His expression showed slight disappointment.
Ye Feng frowned slightly but still stepped in.
“Are you Dao Feng?” A lazy female voice rang out, laced with charm.
Ye Feng frowned even more. Looking up, he saw a seductive woman reclining on a luxurious golden chair. Her long black dress revealed most of her left leg, and the deep V-neck of her top exposed nearly half of her bare chest, drawing Ye Feng’s gaze.
“That’s right. Are you the owner of Extreme Auctions?” Ye Feng asked deliberately.
“As expected, you’re quite handsome.” The woman sat up slowly, covering her head with one hand. “I’m sorry. I had too much to drink last night and still feel dizzy…”

Ye Feng said nothing, merely observing the woman before him quietly. Her beauty was on par with that of Pearl and even surpassed it. A faint pressure emanated from her, and her alluring temperament combined skillfully with that pressure to create a unique kind of temptation.

At that moment, a maid entered, carrying a tray with a pot of tea and two green teacups, which briefly distracted Ye Feng.

The maid poured two cups of tea—one for the woman and the other for Ye Feng.

“Thank you!” Ye Feng took the tea but didn’t drink it, merely giving the maid a slight nod.

“Actually, there’s no other reason for calling you here,” the woman said, drinking her tea in one gulp, showing no signs of propriety. After regaining her composure slightly, she continued, “I heard you sold a top-grade divine crystal at the Extreme Auction.”

“That’s correct,” Ye Feng nodded. The old appraiser had promised him that only the auction host would be informed, so there was no need for him to deny it.

“I won’t ask where you got that top-grade divine crystal either.” The woman drank another sip of tea, and her slightly hazy eyes cleared up. “Just tell me if you have an ultimate-grade divine crystal. I’m willing to pay a high price for it, or even exchange it for a top-grade divine artifact.”

“What’s your offer?” Ye Feng was too lazy to waste more words. Another person trying to get free domain value—better not refuse.

“I heard your top-grade divine crystal was sold for six million five hundred thousand top-grade magic crystals…” The woman paused briefly. “I’m willing to pay threeten million top-grade magic crystals for one ultimate-grade divine crystal, without any fees.”

“That’s not favorable for me,” Ye Feng shook his head. “For one top-grade divine crystal, I already get over six million top-grade magic crystals. An ultimate-grade divine crystal must cost at least seventy million! You should know that its energy content is not just ten times that of a top-grade divine crystal—it’s also far more effective.”

The woman hadn’t expected Ye Feng to dare haggle with her even in her own territory. She propped her head up and remained silent for a long time, seemingly sizing up Ye Feng or perhaps dozing off. “You should know that 6.5 million is already a high price. The actual value of a top-grade divine crystal is far less than that. In my eyes, it’s not even worth a million! Three tens of millions per supreme-grade divine crystal—you really can’t lose on that. If you’re not willing, we can exchange it for a top-grade divine artifact; you should agree to that at least. There aren’t many people in the entire Heavenly Realm who possess such things… Besides, at the divine realm level, one supreme-grade divine crystal can only be exchanged for an ordinary top-grade divine artifact. Since you have a supreme-grade divine crystal, you must know this. What I’m offering you is a divine artifact of excellent quality among top-grade ones.”

“Do you have any top-grade divine artifact armor?” Ye Feng asked. He had been wearing his lower-grade divine artifact armor for many years, and now that he had the chance to exchange it, he naturally hoped to do so.

“I don’t really have any armor suitable for men…” The woman hadn’t finished speaking when she seemed to remember something. She glanced at Ye Feng before tentatively asking, “How about armor of the same rank as a top-grade divine artifact?”

Ye Feng was momentarily stunned. “Show it to me!”

The woman took out a male armor piece from her ring. “Take a look and see if it works. If not, forget it. I’ll just buy it with magic crystals.”

As soon as Ye Feng saw the armor, he realized it was a top-grade ancient celestial artifact, no less powerful than a top-grade divine artifact. After all, his gloves were also top-grade ancient celestial artifacts. “This rank is indeed comparable to that of a top-grade divine artifact. It can be exchanged for one supreme-grade divine crystal.”

“I’ll buy the rest. Thirty tens of millions per piece—no more. I’ll take three. Do you have them?” the woman asked.

“Yes, but you really won’t budge even a bit,” Ye Feng said with a wry smile.

“I’m a girl. How dare you let me lose out?” The woman threw Ye Feng a flirtatious glance.

“Fine, thirty tens of millions per piece. I’ll give you three!” Ye Feng shook his head helplessly. Neither his strength nor his bargaining skills matched hers, so it was wise to back down.

After putting 90 million top-grade magic crystals and a set of top-grade ancient celestial artifact armor into his ring, Ye Feng took out four supreme-grade divine crystals and handed them to the maid beside him.

“If there’s nothing else, I’m leaving!” Since the transaction was complete and the woman in front of him was difficult to deal with, Ye Feng didn’t want to stay any longer.

“Leaving so quickly? Do you have a fierce wife at home?” The woman slowly walked toward Ye Feng.

Ye Feng’s muscles were tense. Although his opponent was strong, if this had happened before he encountered the Immortal Bloodline, he might have felt fear. But now, the stronger his opponent became, the more battle spirit it ignited in him. After all, with the Immortal Bloodline, even if he died, he could quickly revive in a Void Treasure—so he felt no fear at all.

“Don’t be so nervous. I’m not going to eat you!” The woman stepped forward and placed her delicate hand on Ye Feng’s shoulder, then casually moved it to his chest.

Of course, Ye Feng wasn’t about to back down. He wrapped one arm around her waist, pulled her close, and lowered his head with a mischievous smile. “Don’t play with fire…”

The maids around them were stunned. They wanted to scold him, but the woman silenced them with a thought, though Ye Feng didn’t hear it.

When Ye Feng touched her waist, she instinctively wanted to strike back but forced herself to hold back. She wanted to know what this man was thinking. After being pulled into his arms, a faint blush appeared on her face. Over the years, it had always been her who teased men, but today she was being teased instead—and she wasn’t even angry at all. She looked up at him and said with a sweet voice, “What happens if I play with fire?”

“You’ll find out if you try,” Ye Feng whispered softly in her ear.

The woman subtly broke free from his embrace, took a deep breath, and watched him from afar. “Why aren’t you afraid of me?”

“You’re not a tiger mother. Why should I be afraid of you?” Ye Feng retorted with her own words.

“With my strength, I could easily kill you if I wanted to…”

“But you don’t want to, right?” Ye Feng interrupted her.

“Chunlan, Xiazhu, see the guest off!” The woman flicked her black sleeves and turned toward the inner room.

“Yes!” Two women with cold expressions stepped forward. “Mr. BladeBlade, please come with us.”

Ye Feng glanced at the woman in black walking away, a slight smile on his lips, before turning to leave.

“So? Did you see her?” The old appraiser was excited when he saw Ye Feng come out.

“Mm,” Ye Feng replied indifferently.

“What did she want from you?” The old appraiser kept pressing.

“Nothing much. Just a deal,” Ye Feng said, giving him a strange look.

The two stepped straight into the teleportation array and returned to City of Night. Just as Ye Feng was about to leave, he suddenly turned around and said, “If you’re interested in her, make yourself younger.”
“Actually, this appearance isn’t my true form. It’s only because she needed an appraiser that time—and a veteran one—that I changed my appearance like this. Only in this way can I be summoned by her occasionally…” The old appraiser said with a look of helplessness.
“Who exactly is this woman?” Ye Feng asked curiously.
“I don’t know. All I know is that she’s terrifyingly powerful,” the old appraiser shook his head.
“Never mind. Her background has nothing to do with me. I’ve had enough of this City of Night; it’s time for me to leave,” Ye Feng said softly, looking up at the blood-red sky as if talking to himself.
