Chapter 257: The Death Star Region
The Death Star Region is a desolate place located at the junction of numerous star regions, shaped like a long strip. Unlike the Gray Star Region, this area has an extremely unique geographical location. Precisely because it lies at the intersection of many large star regions, it possesses a powerful force of tearing. Due to this force, most ordinary celestial bodies are torn to pieces. Only those with terrifyingly high density—such as neutron stars and white dwarfs, as well as special bodies like stars and black holes—can remain intact. With only these four types of celestial bodies existing in the entire region, it is utterly impossible for any life forms to exist. Moreover, anything encountered here is deadly—whether it’s the extreme heat of stars, the gravity of black holes, or the intense gravity of neutron stars and white dwarfs that can affect atomic structure. Even for powerful warriors on the level of Lingxian, these conditions are fatal.
Ye Feng, accompanied by two beasts, teleported all the way to the entrance of the Death Star Region before slowing down. In this region, reckless teleportation could lead to being absorbed by a black hole, resulting in certain death. Running into a star would also mean facing unbearable heat. As for neutron stars and white dwarfs, getting too close might result in being drawn in by their gravity and crushed by their immense force. Ye Feng flew carefully, avoiding all celestial bodies along the way, before finally reaching the coordinates given to him by Fat.
When Ye Feng appeared with the two beasts, everyone gathered in an open area turned their attention toward him. Most of them already knew this man was Blade, having seen his battle footage. However, Ye Feng’s cultivation level at this stage—late stage of the Tribulation Transition—was the lowest among everyone present. Of course, some Immortalscatterersers who had never met Ye Feng before also sensed the strength of the two beasts on his shoulders and were secretly shocked.
Ignoring the stares of the crowd, Ye Feng headed straight toward Fat and the others.
“Well, you made it,” Fat said with a smile. “The palace will appear soon. There’s no chance of entering this time; we can only collect the items ejected from outside.”
Ye Feng nodded without saying much, his gaze falling on the two new members.
“If we can’t get in, charging ten mid-tier Spirit Crystals each for them is way too expensive!” Ye Feng joked.
“If they really can’t get in, most of the money will be refunded to them, with only one thousand mid-grade spirit crystals charged per person—this was already agreed upon with them before.”
“Now it seems our group is the strongest. We have ten fighters with strength comparable to that of Lingxian-level beings. Of course, Xiao Bei might be a bit of a stretch, but even if he encounters someone at the Lingxian level, he won’t die easily.” Ye Feng said as he glanced at the other groups.
At the Heavenly Sword Sect, aside from Zong Ao, three people were at the Five Calamities Scattered Immortal level, while the other five were at the Four Calamities Scattered Immortal level.
On the side of the Beast Taming Sect, besides Makas, there were two at the Five Calamities Scattered Immortal level, with the rest at the Four Calamities Scattered Immortal level.
That group of monsters also numbered ten, all appearing to be at the Six Calamities Scattered Immortal level, which left Ye Feng deeply impressed.
When they saw Ye Feng arrive, Zong Ao and Makas were slightly surprised, but after realizing his true cultivation had reached the late stage of the Calamity Crossing phase and that the two beasts with him had transcended the category of spiritual beasts, they became relieved.
They knew that Ye Feng, who seemed to have the lowest cultivation here, actually possessed formidable competitiveness.
Both of them nodded slightly at Ye Feng to show their goodwill, to which Ye Feng politely returned the gesture.
Of course, not far away, there were also some onlookers—people who didn’t have keys and hadn’t been invited. They watched everything from afar.
“Damn it! They said everyone participating in this treasure hunt was above the Four Calamities Scattered Immortal level, but that guy with the sword is just in the late stage of Calamity Crossing. I don’t believe he can defeat a Four Calamities Scattered Immortal,” someone in the crowd complained.
Ye Feng clearly heard what they said, but he ignored them.
“Ye Feng’s strength isn’t something you can comprehend. He was already able to kill a Three Calamities Scattered Immortal during the Divided Spirit phase. Do you really think he can defeat a Four Calamities Scattered Immortal now, at the late stage of Calamity Crossing?” a woman’s voice said softly.
Ye Feng looked in that direction. He hadn’t expected someone among that crowd to know about him.
“Su Mo?!” Ye Feng finally recognized the person in the crowd.
Su Mo appeared in front of Ye Feng in an instant. “It seems you’ve gotten stronger again!”
“Su Mo, how did you end up here?” Ye Feng asked in surprise.
“I thought some group might be dissatisfied, so I could make a little money and get in by exploiting that. But every group is already full,” Su Mo said with a hint of helplessness on her face.
“What do you plan to do then?” Ye Feng shook his head and laughed.
“I plan to stand aside and watch like those people. I can’t get in, but it’s still good to take a look. After all, there are so many experts here. But it seems that your group has the strongest lineup so far.” Su Mo glanced at the people behind Ye Feng.
“No matter how strong they are, it doesn’t matter much if we can’t get in,” Ye Feng said with a shake of his head and a smile.
Just as the two were chatting happily, a violent tremor came from the void—a tremor that shook people to their core.
Continuous vibrations spread before everyone’s eyes, drawing their attention there.
“You go ahead; I’ll keep watching,” Su Mo said and stepped back into the crowd.
Ye Feng also turned to look at the source of the tremor.
At that moment, two figures suddenly appeared in the void. Their sudden appearance didn’t draw much attention from the others.
“Ah… It seems we arrived at the wrong time. No one even looked this way?” A voice that sounded somewhat familiar to Ye Feng reached his ears. He turned to look in that direction.
“Dil!!!” Upon seeing that person’s face, Ye Feng frowned tightly. He hadn’t expected him to show up at such a time.
“It seems there are quite a few acquaintances here!” Dil carelessly directed his gaze toward Ye Feng’s direction.
“Is that guy Blade?” The burly man behind him spoke in a deep voice. After glancing briefly at the crowd, his gaze settled on Ye Feng, scanning him from head to toe. “His cultivation isn’t great, but those two pet beasts are pretty good.”
“Although his cultivation isn’t strong, his strength is decent! Otherwise, I wouldn’t have asked you for help,” Dil said without any concern that Ye Feng might hear him.
“I didn’t expect you to dare show up too!” Ye Feng sneered.
“I’m a notorious miser from hell. Hearing about a treasure like this, of course I can’t miss it. Maybe I can find something here to kill you with,” Dil said with a laugh.
“Then go ahead and try. Let’s see who gets killed!” Although Ye Feng said this, his eyes secretly sized up the man standing beside Dil. That man’s cultivation seemed stronger than everyone else present.
“Iron Brutal?!” Lilith and Kastedio rushed forward to block Ye Feng’s path as soon as they saw the tall man behind Dil.
“Oh, little Lilith is here too!” The man glanced at Lilith with some surprise. “Oh, and she’s even with a archangel from heaven…”
“Tie Man, don’t get involved in this!” Lilith said, clearly nervous.
“Why? Do you like him?” The man named Tie Man smiled mockingly.
“You don’t need to know why!” Lilith’s expression darkened.
“I’m curious—your cultivation has returned to the late Lingxian stage. Could it be the effect of some pill?” Tie Man ignored Lilith’s words. “But even so, you and that angel combined aren’t a match for me.”
“Tie Man, what do you really want? What do you need before you’ll stop?” Lilith’s expression was grave; it was clear Tie Man was telling the truth.
“I want you to come with me to hell and confess to Lord Satan!” Tie Man posed a harsh condition.
“That’s impossible!” Lilith replied without hesitation.
“Then there’s nothing to discuss. I’ll kill this pretty boy and that guy with six wings!” Tie Man said, turning his gaze toward Ye Feng and Kastedio.
His gaze was as tangible as solid matter, and even Ye Feng felt immense pressure.
“Before that, though, I’d like to see what treasures are here.” Tie Man turned to look at the palace that was gradually taking shape in the void.
Ye Feng and the others retreated to their camp. He lowered his voice and asked, “Lilith, who exactly is that guy?”
“A high-ranking demon, Tie Man. He’s the one in hell whose cultivation is closest to that of a supreme demon. He’s the best blacksmith in hell and one of the three royal guardians chosen by Satan.” Lilith explained.
“A guardian?” Ye Feng was stunned by the term.
“So he’s that tough guardian?!” Fat approached, curious.
“That’s right. He’s also the guardian who’s watched me grow up…” Lilith nodded helplessly. “Because I defected, he was demoted. He must bring me back to regain his position.”
“What exactly is that guardian’s role?” Ye Feng couldn’t help asking.
“He is the one chosen by Satan—the most powerful being in all of hell, beneath even the highest-ranking demons. Satan assigns each person three infants with his own bloodline to raise; those with this bloodline are the royalty of hell. I am the youngest and was given to him. He raised me from a young age,” explained Lilith.
“No matter how you look at it, it sounds strange…” Ye Feng said helplessly. “What’s so special about him?”
“When he arrived in this realm, his strength wasn’t diminished at all. His cultivation level is comparable to the peak of the Xuanxian class in the immortal realm…” Lilith gave a rather ominous answer…
