Chapter 51: First Cooperation

“How did you find me?” Ye Feng asked, expressing his confusion.
“Long Ao told us—him, the man who raised your brother since he was young,” Long Yue didn’t hide the truth.
“The reason you came looking for me is…” Ye Feng thought he had no connection with Long Yue and the others. If they came to him, it must be because something had happened.
“Your roommates were kidnapped. That Xu Qiang couldn’t find you, so he called your brother. I answered the call and rushed over right away,” Long Yue handed Ye Feng Long Tian’s phone.
Ye Feng took the phone—it was indeed Long Tian’s iPhone 4. Holding it in his hand, he murmured to himself, “So that woman, Pearl, knows it was me who did all these things these past few days?”
“Probably. Once they know your alias in the Hunters—Blade Edge—it’s not hard to guess from the way the victims were shot that you’re the culprit!” Zhuge Ling’er raised her eyebrows, as if such things were extremely simple for her.
“What did Pearl’s people say to Xu Qiang?” Ye Feng knew that they kidnapped the others but left Xu Qiang behind, surely with a message for him.
“He said Pearl wants to talk to you. If you don’t show up within three days, she’ll kill one person per day late,” Long Yue repeated Xu Qiang’s words.
“What’s your plan?” Zhuge Ling’er couldn’t help asking.
“If she wants to talk, let her. No matter what tricks she uses, I’ll deal with it!” Ye Feng carelessly returned Long Tian’s phone to Long Yue.
“What if it’s a trap? Luring you out just to kill you, not to negotiate—this possibility is quite high too!” Long Yue frowned slightly.
“That woman, Pearl, says what she does. Since she’s made such a threat, if I don’t go, those guys are doomed.” Ye Feng knew Pearl well from their previous encounters. “Whether it’s a trap or something else, I must show up.”
“Let us go with you. That way it’ll be safer. With more people around, it’ll be harder for her to act.” Long Yue thought Ye Feng’s mission was extremely dangerous. Though Ye Feng had some skills, no one knew what might happen.

“If you really want to help, help me rescue those hostages in their hands. I’ll draw their attention. My appearance will surely make Pearl and his men nervous, and most of their firepower will be directed at me. Then, you can take the chance to rescue them. But before that, I need someone else’s help.” Ye Feng glanced at the three people present, who seemed confused, took out his phone, and dialed a number.

“Xiao Feng, are you okay?” It was Yi Fan’s voice on the other end.

“Bro Yi, I’ll be back once I finish dealing with things here. The problem with me has been solved…” Hearing Yi Fan’s familiar voice, Ye Feng’s mood immediately improved.

“A few of my friends have been captured by Pearl. I want to know where they’re hidden. Can you help me find out?” Ye Feng waited anxiously for an answer.

“No problem, but how can you handle the rescue by yourself? How about having the boss and the others fly over to help?” Yi Fan thought it would be better to have more people assist.

“I just met three capable friends today. They’ll help. For now, I just need to know the location of the hostages.” Ye Feng shook his head with a smile. Yi Fan was as enthusiastic as ever.

“Are those people reliable?” Yi Fan was worried.

“Don’t worry. It’s Long Ge’s sister and her two friends,” Ye Feng nodded.

“Oh, I’ll get it for you right away… It should take at most an hour…” Yi Fan was about to hang up when he suddenly said, “Hey, it’s probably past 1 a.m. over there. You don’t need to wait for me. Check it when you wake up in the morning!”

“Got it!” Ye Feng shook his head helplessly and hung up.

“Who was that just now…” Although the phone wasn’t on speaker, the voice coming through the microphone was easily captured by the few innate experts present.

“A teammate from the same squad!” Ye Feng smiled.

“I’ve been wondering why the people in your squad left you alone. From his tone just now, it seems he cares quite a bit about you. Your team has a great atmosphere,” Long Yue said with a smile. “You mentioned a health issue earlier—must be that’s why you stayed behind, right?”

Before, she had only heard Li Qing say that a vampire baron was hunting Long Tian, and even Li Qing didn’t know the man’s identity.

“I don’t know how you did it, but it seems he’s completely gone. My brother will be relieved to hear that,” Long Yue said with a smile.
“I think if I take down Pearl and weaken her forces, Brother Long will be even happier. Although I can never repay what I owe him, it’s at least a small gesture from me!” Ye Feng walked over to the window, pulled back the curtains, and looked at the calm sky dotted with stars.
“Ye Feng, your laptop is active!” Long Yue saw Ye Feng’s laptop suddenly light up.
“Brother Yi finished it so quickly?” Ye Feng rushed over and picked up the computer.
It was a 3D diagram of a building. In the lower left corner of the diagram was a red area, which, from the diagram, appeared to be a hidden basement. The direction indicated by the arrow pointed to that basement.
Ye Feng clicked on the red area, and suddenly a video appeared. In the video were the guys trapped in the basement, in Ye Feng’s dorm room. The video was only three minutes long and seemed to have been recorded hastily. From their appearance, they didn’t seem to be suffering much—just their hands and feet were tied, and their mouths were covered with tape.
After the video ended, another live video appeared on Ye Feng’s computer. On the other end was Yi Fan. “Xiao Feng, the door to their basement is special. Regular blasting won’t work. If you decide to act, I’ll help you open it. I just tested it— I can completely shut down their network system, cutting off control over video and entrances.”
“Okay. When Long Yue and the others reach the basement door, they’ll call you,” Ye Feng nodded.
